What is this guide all about?
So this guide will not improve the gameplay but give a better way to level and exploit game mechanics (not intended by devs btw) so here's a quick overview on what it is:

1) Cheesing character creation
2) Best class setup
3) Exploits
Cheesing the Character creation ..... how broken is it?
So you probably realized that if you choose to spend points on select stats the total points will always reach 74 points but what if i told you this isn't the right way? Look and tell who or what class am I creating?

That's the point here, use random because you could in theory reach 90 points in total but you could also reach low amount like with this guy

Now remember it's possible to re-roll for a specific stat but you could only do it once per random roll so use it wisely
Best class setup .... what about other classes?
There are 14 class in total, 8 fall under physical/warriors and 6 fall under mages/wizards

Some perks need some rework.... you will get it

Did you know in only few classes are actually good and exploitable? Any class with high-enough Subterfuge has access to a perk called "No Mercy" which adds 1D4 per 2 levels to your attack as long as your enemy is under a debuff

How is this exploitable? Well there are weapons that adds bleed and poison charge to your weapon, combine it with skill attacks and you get multiple chance at hitting and inflict charge on your enemies, this is also exploitable if you have a class with enough points in cult of Vesta where you could get a perk that permanently confuses you enemy as long as they are undead. Best classes that works are Magister, Retarius, Dimachaerus, other classes may seem like a good choice but in the long run you will mostly need two of the three

There classes that can exceed these three if not for one thing, there are no perks or ability to magnetize enemies to one tank so having a Magister, an overlord of debuff, could make a single group be unable to hit or fight and given he has abilities to use two-handed weapons and unarmored you could do the following setup to achieve an all rounded build

Frontline: Magister, Dimachaerus
Backline: Retarius, Vestalis

Magister can use a greatsword (rolls 2D10) and Dimachaerus can use dual wield (second hand must be light weapon), Retarius can use a glaive and Vestalis could only use simple weapon so a sling

Another one is more towards bypassing armored enemies and survival but involves replacing the Magister with Augure which makes your group last longer in a fight, the good thing about it is Greater Magic Missile for cheap but also Storm of Magic Missiles for hitting random or same target multiple times

Remember to be aware that some weapons have tag that says "Martial" and it relys on a perk which allows to use them, check your weapons first before equipping as some classes might not have access to it

And a note here, spend most of your exp on wisdom and intelligence when using Vestalis, it can be very effective late in the game
There are exploits?
Yes there are simple exploits and where to start? look at the shrine and tell me how in Zeus's beard could I have exploited this? Well there two methods I used and one involves early EXP and money farming, although it is slow since you don't have access to the temple or workshop early game but the moment you unlock it try to sell unwanted gear (preferably magic ones and don't worry) and try to get the upgrade for the shrines to make it much easier to move around and then wait in front of the shrine.

Exp and money farming with stones

Step1: Find a Shrine(Early game)
When you find a shrine you will need to be very lucky to get "Enlightenment" as it gives 30% exp boost but of course there's a problem, see after each battle you lose stamina which hinders you early game and best start of this exploit unfortunately while simple requires patience and getting workshop unlocked as early as possible.

To give an idea see this screenshot and tell me what's wrong with it?

Can't see the problem? well maybe this one will (Hint: check the total exp and money made and how many streaks were made)

yeah making 150K exp isn't easy but you could also use this conjunction with one of the people you can hire, I believe the best one is the "Moral" booster that starts you at level 3 every single battle with advantage.

So why is this "Early" and not "Best"? Well after every battle you lose a fixed amount of stamina and you will need food, early game food doesn't recover a lot but the moment you unlock "Workshop" you can move on to a different location for better exp and farming but the best part is that the effect doesn't lose turn if you start a battle or throw stone meaning you could play 200 battles (I reached 121 streak) and still have the full effect because you didn't move

[Early game]
After getting enlightenment press the key which throws stone(mine is U but yours could be different), you don't need to move just tap until a fight starts, after the fight don't move and just turn your character around to any place only if you want to collect money and gear, otherwise just mash the button start another fight, keeping doing this but remember to keep an eye on your stamina

Step2: Find second shrine
Now we are getting into the cheese territory, make sure there are two shrines near each other and if they are far try getting workshop shrine upgrade to get to the other one.

Your end goal should be two blessings, Enlightenment and Blessed, here you are the Dark Souls equivalent of a power house and you will be one-shooting almost every single battle. To give a good Idea you can reach 1Mil exp very easily the moment you unlock the temple cause they have a 50% boost to exp available as long as you got ligue which can be gained by recycling magic gear (or any other gear)

Dupe-equip
So you might encounter this and its just rare, there will be times where you find a gear in dungeon and equip it on character but something happens, that item while is equipped by your character it won't appear equipped in your inventory meaning you can re-equip that item on another gladiator with no issues but the moment the character unequipped the item it becomes equipped again by the other gladiator, meaning you lose that dupe equip and have to find another good item and pray it happens again in dungeon

Gear farming
Hey! wanna hear how I got 40 rare gear? don't be surprised most the chests hold static items of rarity and when replaying those mission they don't change meaning if you found one rare item in chest you are guaranteed to get it again so Mark them with colors when revisiting dungeons but you probably gonna ask "What about the guy who can improve my chance of getting rare items?" well don't be surprised he does his job but only if you haven't conquered it yet, so random generated dungeons? he shines, unconquered dungeons? He burns bad weapons, replaying previous dungeons? He will throw hands and lose to a wall
To the devs
Please don't patch these chessy exploits cause two of these three are good people
