Introduction

After you reach your first peak you unlock Ascent 1 which adds a Challenge to the island and when you beat Ascent 1 you unlock the next Ascent etc. If you have not reached your first peak and are playing with a friend that has unlocked Ascent 7 then everyone can play Ascent 7 and if you beat it then you will unlock all Ascents up to 7 along with the rewards. They serve as the difficulty system for PEAK. The Ascents are selected at the Gate Kiosk in the Airport when starting the game.

Badges can be earned regardless of Challenge level.

The Island's default difficulty.

Tadpole Scout

Available by default.

Fall damage is greater.
And all previous modifiers.

Rabbit Scout

Successfully complete
Peak difficulty.

Hunger grows faster.
(60% faster growth)
And all previous modifiers.

Raccoon Scout

Successfully complete
Ascent 1 difficulty.

Items have increased Weight.
(flat +2.5 weight for all items
except backpacks)
And all previous modifiers.

Mule Scout

Successfully complete
Ascent 2 difficulty.

There are no Flares atop
the Peak.
And all previous modifiers.

Kangaroo Scout

Successfully complete
Ascent 3 difficulty.

The night is Cold.
And all previous modifiers.

Owl Scout

Successfully complete
Ascent 4 difficulty.

Climbing takes additional stamina.
(40% higher consumption)
And all previous modifiers.

Wolf Scout

Successfully complete
Ascent 5 difficulty.

You cannot revive the dead.
(Without using a Scout Effigy)
And all previous modifiers.

Goat Scout

Goat Horns

Successfully complete
Ascent 6 difficulty.
