Install some Linux OS -> -> install your graphics cards drivers and check it all works. Then install latest Steam -> make sure you have the binaries installed for 32-bit (so follow a recent Steam for Linux install guide for your current Linux OS version!).

Once you have steam installed, open Steam -> steam menu -> steam settings -> compatibility -> Default compatibility tool -> Proton Hotfix.

Then restart, buy ICBM so it is in you Steam library, install it, run it, and wait until the proton hotfix is installed and the game runs properly (it could be a few crashes and no sound at first, but eventually it will fix itself).

Then everything should run perfectly exactly as it does for Windows.
