Today we will spend a few hours to get through The Dark Queen of Mortholme, a short indie game, which is self-proclaimed "anti-game":

In this fixed-screen pixel art game, use the Queen's attacks against this hero, destroy him and end this anxiety once and for all. But wait... how is that possible? The Hero keeps coming back...

• At the moment there are only 6/6 obtainable achievements in the game.
  
• For gameplay, you only need the A-D keys (or Arrow Keys) to move left and right, and the numbers 1, 2, 3 for your attacking abilities.
  
• There are 3 different endings in the game.

Pitiful!
Simply defeat the hero for the first time.

Pacifism (secret achievement)
To obtain this achievement, simply do not use an attack. Just stand still and ignore the hero until she agrees to kill you without a fight. A secret ending will be revealed after your "surrender".

SPOILER ALERT

There are only 3 official endings in the game. Note that dialogues have almost no effect on the endings (except for 1.3) It all depends on your actions.



Fight the hero and die in the end.

• 1.1) Normal Ending + Stop attacking in the end and refusing to fight back. After you refuse to fight back first two times, the hero will ask you last time. Refuse and you'll be unable to move or attack. Hero kills you, without final dialogue or you changing form.
  
• 1.2) Normal Ending + Stop attacking in the end and Fight back, when she asks you to. After you refuse to fight back first two times, the hero will ask you last time. If you decide to fight, she kills you as in regular ending.
  
• 1.3) Normal Ending + Stop attacking in the end and say that you will Fight back, but you don't. After you refuse to fight back first two times, the hero will ask you last time. If you choose to fight, but still do nothing, she calls you a liar and leaves.

IMPORTANT: If you refuse to attack in the final fight (when you have True form), she won't stop attacking and you'll die without any new dialogue. If you seek for a feeling moment, it is recomended to stop attacking in the round where the hero gets distracted (the one before final fight). Remove 2 of her hearts and stop attacking.



Don't attack at all from the beggining.



Kill the hero every time, surviving long enough for her to quit and not return.

Tip: place yourself facing toward a wall while doing skill 3 to your back and skill 1 to the front. A good placement is placing your left foot on the 4th tile. Press skill 3 three times, in the third attempt, she will be close to you exactly to be hitted by the skill 1, when you press 1, he will step outside and get hitted by the second step of the 3.

In the second attempt and third attempt do that strategy after you took a heart. Eventually she will say about making her progress, you must reply that it doesn't matter, and she will never come back if you defeated her that time.
