This guide focuses on the Golden Mountains pattern for the M4A1-S | Solitude. Patterns will be ranked in tiers based on the positioning of the golden peaks, the clouds and the sun, with higher ranks given to cleaner mountain shapes. Use this as a reference to spot the most visually appealing and sought-after variants.

Keep in mind, there are only 16/1000 patterns with the Golden Mountains, and this guide showcases every single one of them, ranked and explained.

Unranked does not mean these patterns are on same with regular patterns. They are still part of the rare 16/1000 Golden Mountain set and are worthy of special treatment regardless.

This tier list is focused purely on artwork alignment and balance within the Golden Mountain variants. Patterns such as 112, 220, 304, and 533 are still notable for showcasing visible Golden Mountain elements. Among them, 304 stands out as the strongest example.

For its rare symmetry, the mountains align perfectly with the handle and magazine, with the main mountain clearly centered and prominently displayed. The sun rays extend in a balanced, symmetrical way on both sides, while the clouds take just the right amount of space on top. The smooth transition from clouds to sunlight to mountains gives it a clean, standout look, even without the full sun visible.


These for their strong overall balance and similarity to p12, with clean alignment and a well-blended transition of clouds, sunlight, and mountains. The sun is cropped and the mountains on the magazine rise a bit too high, making it slightly less satisfying than p12.


For its large cloud coverage on top and high-rising mountains on the magazine, which disrupt the balance. While the sun is visible on the handle, it’s mostly hidden during gameplay, with only a small portion of sunlight showing, making it less impactful overall.


For its strong overall artwork and balanced composition, 379 is without doubt a Golden Mountain pattern. However, the mountains sit too low, the clouds dominate the top, and the sun becomes the main focal point. This shifts attention away from the Golden Mountains, which are the centerpiece of this guide. While the pattern looks great visually, the lack of mountain prominence keeps it from ranking higher than Tier 3.

This section showcases the remaining Golden Mountains patterns that didn’t make it into the top tiers. While they may lack the ideal alignment, balance, or sun placement of the higher-ranked patterns, they’re still part of the Golden Mountains family and may appeal to collectors or players looking for a unique alternative.
