To gain your first prestige, continue running in circles until you gain enough upgrades to run for 2 minutes consecutively.

For additional prestiges, you have to click on the plus icon (+) in the bottom right of the upgrade screen in order to continue gaining prestige points after the first prestige.

You will not gain further prestige points until you click this button.
