Portal Storms

COMES WITH HALF-LIFE RESURGENCE NPC SUPPORT!


A Portal Storm is an event that creates a multitude of portals to other dimensions. As suggested, these portals spread devastating shockwaves outwards in a storm-like manner, causing havoc wherever they hit.

In the aftermath of the Resonance Cascade at the Black Mesa Research Facility, Portal Storms occurred across Earth, bringing forth life forms from Xen. This peculiar phenomenon is generally capable of inflicting severe structural damage to objects, such as buildings and bridges.

This mod aims to implement portal storms into the game. While they are far from accurate and design, this is just my implementation of the concept. You can increase the intensity by spawning multiple of the portal storm entities, and they will begin to open up all across the map and bringing in aliens to invade your world.

They will destroy, unweld and unfreeze any props in their way and will cause chaos across the map as they ravage everything you've ever known...

Race X support coming soon.

Might be a bit buggy but will fix eventually.

This mod is for some reason not compatible with lua patcher or glide vehicles, but i will update this soon in one big bug fix

Commands:

portalstorm_hl1support: Toggle between using basic Half Life 2 alien/zombie NPCs or Half Life Resurgence NPCs. Off by default. (just incase, it's obviously required to have half life resurgence installed and mounted to the game to allow for the HL1 npcs to spawn.)

portalstorm_max_npcs: The amount of aliens that every portal storm can produce. Default is 35.

portalstorm_cluster_duration: How many seconds each portal storm 'cluster' can sustain tiself for. Default is 10 seconds.
