According to the developer’s statement, the game is titled 108, but it actually contains only 100 death scenes. You can read their statement here: Apology Letter Before Release! There are only 100 ways to die in the game :(

The number 108 is more than just a title—it holds deep cultural and spiritual meaning in China. In Buddhist tradition, 108 represents the number of earthly temptations or defilements that must be overcome to reach enlightenment. Prayer beads often contain 108 beads, and temple bells are rung 108 times to purify the soul.

This symbolic number appears frequently in Chinese media, especially in FMV games. If you’ve played other titles from China, you may have noticed how often 108 is used—sometimes subtly, sometimes directly—as a narrative motif or thematic anchor.

This game has several bugs. Some alternative plots require the same previous scenes, but will only trigger if the skip button isn’t used. In other cases, you may need to restart the game and use “Continue” to jump directly into the chapter.

#1. Rock-paper-scissor


Playgame — Choosing any option in the Rock–Paper–Scissors scene will trigger Death #13.

#2. Throwing fruits


Playgame — Throw each type of fruit for about four times or more. Once all have been thrown, the game will automatically continue.

#3. Mini sudoku-filling number


Playgame — This is a Sudoku-style puzzle: each subgrid/box must contain digits 1–9 with no repeats. The correct entry for this cell is 2.

Note: Unlocking all options in the Chapter 3 mini-game is required to achieve 100% exploration. The notes below list the available choices for what can be searched in each room.

#4. Finding antidote puzzle

1st Puzzle — Found a locker containing the antidote. Choose option 3.


2nd Puzzle — A torn paper forms a code when arranged: 5823.


3rd Puzzle — Use code 5823 to unlock the locker; option is at number 4.


4th Puzzle — Find the tetrahedron; it’s at option 3.


5th Puzzle — The Morse code engraved on the tetrahedron is used on the whiteboard: 20040926.


Final Puzzle — Use 20040926 to open the locker with the real antidote. Located on the right.


#5th Mobil remote control

Control the mobile remote in the wrong direction to trigger different outcomes.
Right: Find a screwdriver.
Left: Find a credit card.
Straight: Leads to death number #83.

#6. A zombie diary


Yes, this part can be skipped. However, reading through all the following pages is required to achieve 100% exploration.

#7. Correct door bloking steps

Notes:

• Choosing the wrong order will trigger death #88 scene.
  
• Correct answer: 1. Block it with your body, 2. Lock the door, 3. Block it with a table 4. Put the chair on the table.
  
• Alternative plots open alternative scenes. It need low affection (below 3) of Lan Xueqi.

#8. Floor plan for medical school


Choose the correct number; all others are wrong. The correct choice is number 7.

#9 Box Fighting with Chen Chuchu


If you win the match against Chen, you’ll pass and proceed to the next scene. However, if you lose, it will trigger Death Scene #89.

#10. Turning on the computer

From 1 to 4, there are two important items to find. At number 1, there is a laptop that is turned off, and at number 3, there is a cable. Follow the order shown in the image from number 1 to 4, then select number 3 again to take the cable, which will be used to power on the laptop.

I’m confused by this mini-game — it seems impossible to enter the laptop password correctly. Only the first character can actually be typed, while the rest of the keys don’t respond.

#11. Inserting antidote code


If we return to Mini-Game 6 and 8, there are two tasks to complete: searching for the map in two different locations and talking to Chuchu. If we find the map, we’ll be able to enter the antidote code. However, if we talk to Chuchu directly without searching for the map, the antidote code won’t appear and it will lead straight to Death Scene #96.

These Secrets / Hidden Scenes has also several bugs. Some alternative plots require the same previous scenes, but will only trigger if the skip button isn’t used. In other cases, you may need to restart the game and use “Continue” to jump directly into the chapter.

1st Secret scene

When choosing "Select the proop" after death #86 some plots are not open. This is because it need to find the key in the first scene of chapter 4. Then in this scene, choose the key 2 times.

2nd Secret scene

Mini-Game #7 features two possible plot branches.

• Entering the wrong sequence triggers Death #88.
  
• Entering the correct sequence with high Love Affection for Lan Xue Qi unlocks the first alternative plot.
  
• Entering the correct sequence with Love Affection below 3 unlocks the alternative ending, triggering Deaths #89 and #90.

3rd Secret scene

The first box is the opening path to unlock three plots in the second box.

• Scene 1 will unlock Plot C, and Scene 2 will unlock Plots A and B.
  
• Plot A is unlocked automatically when Scene 2 is selected, while Plot B is unlocked by selecting Scene 2 again without pressing the skip button.
  
• Scenes A and B will play a memory of Lan Xue Qi being bitten by an insect while searching for the key to escape the room at the beginning of the chapter.

4th Secret scene

The first and second boxes are not directly connected, but both heavily depend on the scenes selected earlier. Below is an explanation of each:

Box One

• 1: This plot is unlocked when you have the zombie aura — specifically after exiting the room with Chuchu and Lan Xue Qi. It leads to Death Scene #97.
  
• 2: This plot is unlocked back to secret scene #3 for the first box. If you defeat Chunri, which requires choosing to leave with Chuchu instead of Lan Xue Qi, and having high Love Affection for Lan Xue Qi.
  
• 3: This plot appears when you choose the long route to escape the zombies with Lan Xue Qi, after finding the photo, diary, key, and mobile remote control.
  
• 4: This plot appears when you choose the short route to escape the zombies with Lan Xue Qi using the mobile remote control.

Box Two

• Choices 1 and 2 unlock automatically — the decision to listen to Lan Xue Qi’s story or not. If you choose not to listen, all options A–E will be skipped.
  
• Options A, B, and C appear automatically if you choose to listen to Lan Xue Qi’s story. Only three choices will be available: photo, diary, and conversation.
  
• If you listen to Lan Xue Qi’s story a second time, a fourth option will appear: Huitao’s Word. Selecting this will unlock Plot E.
  
• To unlock the last Plot, you must first revisit Huitao’s dialogue from your initial encounter before Death Scene #95. Then, follow the story path again, and when you reach the same scene, select Huitao’s Word once more — this time, Plot D will be unlocked.

5th Secret scene


Deaths #99 and #100 function as alternative endings, each requiring a different setup. Midway through the chapter, choose {Explore together with Xue Qi} to unlock Alternative Ending 1, which triggers Death #99. Alternatively, choose {Go back with Chu Chu} to unlock Alternative Ending 2, which triggers Death #100.
