Beginner's Guide from a Beginner
By Oughan
Preface
At the time I wrote this guide, there were only 11 Steam guides with some in English and some in video format only. The guides and discussion boards were mostly unhelpful. And I wanted a written guide to help me understand how to play this game. I watched a couple videos from Slandered Gaming and Wizard Worm to get the gist of what a beginner should know, which is why I'm attributing them here first.

Classes, Specialties, & Attributes
These are locked in, so give it some thought. Class, Attribute, and Specialty points reset, but you can't pick a new class. You can pick a second specialty, but you won't have the entire suite of skills to choose from.

You can reset any or all points from Attributes or Skills at no penalty. You are only locked into a Class and Specialty, but you can spend points and respec them at any time.

Defense
Pick one defense skill for each character. No one is out of reach from an enemy attack.

Vending, Crafting, & Enchanting
Crafting will generate better gear than what you can buy from vendors. And you can enchant your crafted gear to your own specs. Re-rolling the random stats is cheap, so try to get the stats you want on the gear you craft and enchant.

Vendors do offer Knowledge Fragments. Buy any and all of these to unlock more Research.

Weapons & Armor
Weapons come with skills that are dictated by Might & Power. Review the weapon skill to see how it fits into your build. Also, review stat blocks I through III. Be mindful of weight. Weight is the only real limiting factor for what you can equip.

Buffing Before Combat
Enemies have a limited visual range, so stay outside their detection range (in red), buff your party, and then engage.

Enemy Line-of-Sight (LOS)
As mentioned in the buffing section, enemies have a limited LOS. You can reduce this range by purchasing the Stealth skill under Research > Tactical. this allows you to move closer to the enemy and buff before engaging.

Destructible Objects
Several objects in the game deal damage when attacked. Use these to your advantage to lure and trap enemies.
