the star-chaser modifications for the Excalibur corvette is (L=72 m W=34 m H=13 m ) or about 1/3 the size of the red ship for scale

The Excalibur class star chaser corvette is a six to eight person gunboat designed for quick hit and run tactics. due to the heavily armored nature of the ship, the auxiliary thruster bays overall thrust for maneuvering is low but its mainsail is extremely strong allowing for quick acceleration, great momentum, and ability to hit targets with its large RAILGUN, and taking pinpoint shots to disable targets without getting into range of typical munitions. The secondary weapons fitted along the horizontal axis are for 4 PDC turret mounts-- future additions will enable several long range torpedoes.

The intended role of this corvette is for a self sufficient multiroll military corvette.The layout on the ship allows for easy access of every room via a long central T Shaped hallway attached to a front cargo bay and a rear perpendicular hallway that connects the rear engineering bay via two doors on either side. This is where the entrance of the ship is on either side.

Looking down the hallway you have the habitation room where the six normal crew members sleep, eat and clean up after a long day in a set of showers and a 6 person three level bunk bed setup. On the opposite side sits OX generation, your small reactor and a ladder down to the shuttle bay. Further on down you have the utility/drone room on the left and the infirmary on the right. At the end of that hallway you have the cargo bay and front engineering sections.


Some interesting features of the ship, a full size railgun mount underslung and four medium point defence cannons. The size of the ship makes the large railgun unexpected by enemies and the four medium emplacements make the ship very potent at close and long range alike.The ship also comes with a atmospheric landing kit pre-installed. These large rotating VTOL thrusters assist in the landing of this ship even in dense atmospheres, something unlikely for other ships of its weight class and purpose. If landing is an unwise choice the shuttle is very nimble low signature and can fly anywhere.
