This Guide is Made for QWERTY keyboards.

This Guide is offering some extra tips and tricks that isn't mentioned in the ? section of the Play and Objects mode. I will try to keep it up to date with patches etc.

Tips
- You can test WIP creations from Custom-mode by placing them in a Room. It will update as you continue to model it. So don't sweat the details.
- If you save over that object slot, it will however also switch the old object for the new one.

Shortcuts

Space
Rotates the object by 22.5* on the horizontal axis when using hand select tool.
Shift
- Makes the angle 11.25 degrees instead of 22.5 degrees when rotating.
- Allows you to paste more of the selected object.
W
Pans your view angle downwards.
S
Pans your view angle upwards.
A
Rotates your view angle Right.
D
Rotates your view angle Left.
+
Zooms in.
Custom Mode
Tips
  • If you want to build something detailed, remember to set your grid to Fine or Extra Fine
  • Currently the camera is locked in place, so in order to make detail work use the arrows on the bottom right corner to move your object around when zoomed in.
  • Use equal lengthed objects as a guide to make sure your keep the same length between objects. (See image 1 & 2)

    Using 3 legs that has the same length to make sure the partitions in my stalls have the same length. Doing so I can see that two of my stalls are too wide.

    Space
    Rotates the object by 22.5* clockwise on the horizontal axis when item is selected.

    Rotates the object by 22.5* counter clockwise on the horizontal axis when item is selected.

    Rotates the object by 22.5* clockwise on the horizontal axis when using hand select tool.
    Shift
    - Makes the angle 11.25 degrees instead of 22.5 degrees when rotating. (Works with all rotations)
    - Allows you to paste more of the selected object.
    - while using the 3-axis (x,y,z) edit tool hides the size and rotation options so only the moving axis part is available. (See Image 3)
    Ctrl
    Holding Ctrl while using the 3-axis tools function slimming or widening (length, height or width) an object will do so on each side of the angle being manipulated (see image 4)
    W
    Pans your view angle downwards.
    S
    Pans your view angle upwards.
    A
    Rotates your view angle Right.
    D
    Rotates your view angle Left.
    +
    Zooms in.
    PgUp
    Changes level upwards
    PgDn
    Changes level downwards
