These are the only mods I’ve tried with this method but cant see any reason others wouldn’t work.

1)
First of all you need to open registry editor (type regedit into your windows search), once opened look in the left panel for
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"
and expand it then search for
"SOFTWARE"
and Expand that too, next find
"WOW6432Node",
Expand and see if you have
"NovaLogic"
(you should have as its created when installing the Steam version of JOCAG).

2)
Right Click "NovaLogic" and select "New" then "Key" from the context menu.
A "New Key" should appear below "NovaLogic",
Rename "New Key" to "Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising" then right click "Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising" and create a "New Key" again.
Rename "New Key" to "1.00.0000",
right click "1.00.0000" and select "New" then "String Value" you should get a file called "New Value #1" in the RIGHT panel...
rename this to "path" and right click it and select "Modify",
in the "Edit string" Dialog that pops up under "Value Data" enter the full path to your Steam copy of Joint Operations: Combined Arms Gold,
Example: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Joint Operations Combined Arms



you can find the path to enter easily whilst in your registry by going to "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\NovaLogic\Joint Operations: Combined Arms Gold\1.00.0000"
and copying the path from there to your
"Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\NovaLogic\Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising\1.00.0000"

3)
After this you should just be able to use the Mods default installation method!
If the mod requires Escalation as well, just follow the above steps but name it "Joint Operations: Escalation" instead of "Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising"... "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\NovaLogic\Joint Operations: Escalation\1.00.0000" with the "path" inside
