If you’re experiencing micro-stutters, uneven motion, or low framerate feeling in Secret of the Mimic, there’s a simple tool that can help — Lossless Scaling, available on Steam for just a few euros.

This tool creates artificial frames between real ones, giving the illusion of a much higher frame rate — making your game feel significantly smoother without changing the game’s actual FPS or engine behavior.

🛠 Step-by-Step Setup:
Install and launch Lossless Scaling
Once installed from Steam, open the application.

Add your game manually
In Lossless Scaling, click the ➕ (plus) icon to add a new game manually.

Find the game executable
Navigate to your installation folder for FNAF: Secret of the Mimic, and select the executable file (usually named FNAF-SOTM.exe or similar).

Configure Frame Generation

Enable Frame Generation in the app.

Set the mode to Adaptive.


Choose a framerate between 100 and 160 FPS (adjust based on your monitor’s refresh rate and system performance).

For example, if you have a 144Hz monitor, try 144 FPS.

Launch the game normally
Open Secret of the Mimic like you usually would.

Set the game to Windowed Mode
Go to Settings in the game and change the display mode to Windowed (not Fullscreen or Borderless).

Activate the Scaling Overlay
Switch back to the Lossless Scaling app and click “Scale”. This connects the overlay to your game window and activates frame interpolation.
