Overview and Term Definitions
Brakes: A suppressor (usually) reduces a bit of recoil, better than no muzzle attachment. The ASR Brake is better than a Suppressor and is decent at reducing recoil. The SFMB Brake is better than the ASR and is the best for reducing vertical recoil.

Grips: The Side Angle and Combat grips are best for reducing horizontal recoil. The Vertical and TH grips are best for reducing vertical recoil, albeit worse than a brake. The Combat and Side Angle are strictly better than the Angled Grip, reducing more recoil than it.

Optics: All red dots increase aim-down-sight speed, some a little more than others. The SDR 1-4x is a prism optic that reduces vertical recoil, slows ADS speed, and has an optional ironsight on top. The ATAK-R 1-12x is a scope that does not reduce recoil, slows ADS speed, and has an optional red dot on top. The SDR is generally preferred unless you need more magnification for accurate shots.

Recoil: Measured on a scale from 1 to 11, with 1 being nonexistent to 11 being holes in the roof above your head. It is a scale of magnitude, lower is always better.

Single Shot Recoil: A drill starting from center mass, fired as fast as possible without adjustment or compensation until the target is no longer aimed at. The sequence of fire is stopped when shots start missing the head.

Weapon Length: A weapon is considered Short if you can aim it from one wall of a range bay divider at the other. Anything longer than Short will be forced to high ready. A weapon is considered Compact if you can aim it from one edge of a single doorway to the other. A weapon is considered Long if it cannot fit within a doorway and is forced to high ready.

Shooting Bay Full Extension: Can I aim the weapon at the bay divider on my left while hugging the right? Can the weapon be presented in a space smaller than a doorway, but not touching? Suppressors sometimes prevent this.

Doorway Full Extension: Can I aim the weapon at the door frame on my left while hugging the right? Can the weapon be presented within a doorway? Suppressors sometimes prevent this.

GA51 without a Suppressor. Fits within a bay at the shooting range. Considered Short.

GA51 with a Suppressor. No longer fits within a bay at the shooting range. No longer Short but could be either Compact or Long.

UMP9 with a Suppressor. The suppressor clips through the wall but doesn't impede firing. Still considered Short.

ARN-180 with a Suppressor. Fits within a doorway. Considered Compact.

G3A3. Does not fit within a doorway. Considered Long.

Taser
Caliber: Taser Cartridges
Fire Modes: Single
Single Shot Recoil: None
Mag Size: 2
Attachment Selection: None
Size: Short
Reload Speed: Slow
Shooting Bay Full Extension: No
Doorway Full Extension: No
Comment: Every slot dedicated to the taser adds 3 cartridges. 3 slots means 9 cartridges. Every cartridge has 2 shots. Bashing with the taser will also stun the target, even when out of cartridges. Raiden 7 is written on the side, being a reference to Mortal Kombat and the god of thunder.

Summary: It takes about 4 pepperballs to get a suspect to surrender. A beanbag shell will always stun, but may require more hits for surrender. A taser probe will always stun, but may require more probes for surrender. Use the VPL if you need pepperball capacity, and the TPL for speed or confined spaces. Taser is generally recommended over the TRPL due to more consistent stuns and more surrenders-per-magazine.
