DISCLAIMER:
There has been a massive amount of hysteria over this decision by DICE to have Secure Booty be mandatory for the game to load. Some people are scared that they might brick there systems.

1 - Let me be clear, anything can happen when it comes to PC gaming. Your PC can die at any moment given the right circumstances. It is your job to be a knowledgeable consumer and understand what you are doing.

2 - Doing this change in your BIOS is NOT going to brick your pc. This is pretty much a on/off switch for your pc to know whether to run your OS in the preffered manner. There is negligible risk that this will have ANY negative affect on your PC. Remember, PC building is basically Legos for Adults - you're not performing brain surgery here.

So with that out of the way, let's get to it.
Why it's happening
- Your BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) is the first thing that runs when you hit the power button. It's the foundation everything else is built on. Secure Boot is a feature that only allows "signed" programs to run—programs that have been given a special stamp of approval by Microsoft or your computer manufacturer.
How to Fix it
Step 1: Check Your Current Status
* Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.
* Type msinfo32 and press Enter.
* In the System Information window, look for Secure Boot State. It will say either On or Off. If it's On, you're all set. If it's Off, proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Enter Your PC's UEFI/BIOS Settings: --- IF YOU CANNOT GET INTO BIOS. HOLD SHIFT WHEN CLICK RESTART.
* Go to Settings > Windows Update > Advanced options > Recovery.
* Under "Advanced startup," click Restart now.
* Your PC will restart into a blue screen menu. Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > UEFI Firmware Settings.
* Click Restart to enter your computer's UEFI/BIOS.

Note: The menu layout will vary based on your PC's motherboard manufacturer (e.g., ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI). The specific key to press during startup to enter BIOS can also be different (commonly F2, Del, or F10).

Step 3: Adjust the BIOS Settings
* Once in the BIOS, navigate to the Boot or Security tab.
* Look for an option called Secure Boot or something similar.
* Change this setting from Disabled/Off/Custom to On/Standard
* Make sure the OS start up is UEFI compliant

-----------

* Crucially, if your system is in "Legacy" or "CSM" (Compatibility Support Module) boot mode, you will need to disable CSM and switch to UEFI mode first. Secure Boot is a UEFI-specific feature.
* After making the changes, find the option to Save and Exit (often the F10 key). Confirm your changes and let your PC restart.
Addressing the "Bricking" Concern
The issues reported on Reddit often stem from systems that are not configured to boot in UEFI mode, or from specific motherboard bugs. Here are the most common points of failure:
* MBR vs. GPT: Secure Boot requires your primary drive to be partitioned in GPT (GUID Partition Table) format, not MBR (Master Boot Record). If you have an MBR drive, enabling Secure Boot will likely cause a boot failure. You would need to convert the drive to GPT using a command-line tool, which can be a complex and risky process.
* CSM/Legacy Boot: If you try to enable Secure Boot without disabling CSM, your system may fail to boot.
* Motherboard Bugs: Some older motherboards have known issues with Secure Boot. If you encounter a black screen or your PC won't boot, a CMOS reset (unplugging your PC, removing the CMOS battery from the motherboard, and waiting for a few minutes) may be necessary to reset the BIOS settings.

So this game is not for me as i will not reinstall my computer for one game. I was really curious to play it, but i will not change my computer settings. I need the bios for AI and development stuff. I will deinstall it and return to COD. I saw already some cheaters from a friends computer, so it is anyway useless.

My drive is good, I disabled CSM in bios, and the option to enable secure boot is just sitting there completely greyed out. Asus mobo. Says Secure Boot state- User and I can't do anything to change that. The only options I have are to clear or save the secure boot keys. I'm sick of it man, I'm so over it. Ended up downloading this stupid beta AGAIN and tried to sort out this secureboot trash, but at this point I'm taking it as a sign. I don't think I'll play a single second of BF6. It's too late anyway, BF has been slipping for so long that I don't even care if I ever play again. All it took for me to drop every ounce of hype I had for BF6 was this stupid secureboot drama. And for what? Cheaters were still raging on day ONE of the BETA. So guess what, I hope this game gets infested with cheaters and hackers, and I hope it goes out with a whimper as people flock to BO7 a month later.

Turn off internet right as you start it, after the pop up it will make a window for the game, plug internet back in. Eat that EA!

this does work

Is this a joke? I prefer to uninstall! I have 300 games, I'm not going to do all that every time for completely useless developments! This is nonsense. And what's more, even with all that, you can easily cheat...
