Windows - Download an app called Everything from Voidtools. Its an amazing search tool for windows. Safe and widely used. You can immediately find things you are looking for quickly.
Linux - You want to use Fsearch. Same concept.
Search for the game ID: its in the link at the top of this page. You want the folder that is inside of the folder called workshop/content/294100. Thats steams mod folder. Open that folder. 3541295970 is this mods folder. Go into patches. Open PatchCore.xml.
Click the link in his comment. Highlight that text from that PatchCore.xml.
Go back to the PatchCore.xml that you opened. Hit ctrl+A to highlight all the text quickly. Hit ctrl+V to paste the patch text into the file. Save and exit.
If you can follow these instructions, dont leave your house. Its not safe for you outside.

IDK why this is happening but was a new organ or something added into 1.6 that prevents this from being backward compatible?
