You'll catch fish in other spots, but very rarely. However, each fish has its own preferences, where the drop is greater.

Something that might help to note, since this is a complete fishing guide, is that fish can be caught outside of their weather, location, and time of day preferences.
And maybe weather or not they require a certain level of fishing pole (club) upgrade

Like for example, I caught Little Beard in Ladle's Jetty on a Dry day and it was either Dawn, Morning or Afternoon when I caught it.
