Description
Sensor driven helper drone. Will follow around players and provide light/cargo space.

Ah, override to inert. Yeah, that'll slow it down nicely. It's a heavy ship, he won't turn it alone. Thank you.

@Visvires Oh man, I never throught about that. I usually attach to a station or large ship when building. Make sure you're projecting from a largeish small ship and put all the gyros on override with no pitch/yaw/roll. That should slow him down at least. You can also turn off the sensors/gyros as they're built so they dont make him spin.

Is there a way to project and build this that doesn't involve the projecting ship spinning as soon as the sensors come on line? Its causing havoc. I tried getting out of 50yd range; it does it anyway.

Yesss, need to learn how to properly use scripts so we can make them remain oriented to the ground, keep a set altitude and so on. Should be fun making them smarter and smarter

Looks like Keen added some powerful waypoint stuff into the remote and programmable blocks. We can make them a lot smarter now!

Oh wow, did something very similar yesterday with my Helpie drone... Even named it similar.
Should've browsed the workshop a bit more beforehand :D

and dont forget weaponize like i did lol. he just stands around till he sees an enemy. great on stations or security while you mine.

Thanks Speed, glad you like him. I'll eventually work on some more, smarter drones once the programming blocks become more feature complete. Having a little helper that can be commanded to drill/grind/weld as well as follow you and ferry supplies home is the end goal.

i love this little guy acctually. he became my best friend :) a lil retarted at times but that just his personality. hes great for endless laughs too. i made a security bot version of his. he fires widly. he so bad at aiming hell get his target every time. i give a rate up on this lil guy. if you make other small followbots like this id like to get them.

Ah! Very good point, thank you. When I set these guys up I was in a hurry to beat the drone rush, and never really used him in a game, besides getting him to work as he is now.
