By Repulsive Bushman
Ever used Ogryn's bully clubs, saw the slap on special activation, and wondered if it was viable? The answer is yes, yes it is. How to make it viable? Find out here!

Intro
This is a stupid and very viable build for any Ogryn Bully Club, but I specifically use the "Brunt's Pride" Mk II Bully Club because of the punch follow-up to the slap, which means that Ogryn can box. The fluidity of this combo makes the Mk 2 the prime weapon for our purposes, but the "Brunt's Basher" Mk IIIb Bully Club can also be used here for light spam/slap or slap + heavy combo spam, which is less fluid and fast. This is a generalist Heavy Hitter build can be tailored to suit your needs however you want. Somewhat inspired by the Havoc 40 slap only run by Hamdolsun, Ainz, Orjan, and Kejetok: https://youtu.be/Jg9NooSsEzU?si=v_joNYxBkBWIjDME
How do you play?
Slap and clap. Literally. Special -> light attack and repeat. Horde? Slap and clap. Bosses? Slap and clap. Elites? Slap and clap.

Why are we doing a light attack? Because on the Mk 2 Bully Club specifically, this makes your Ogryn throw a punch that does decent damage and is suitable for anything. Watch yourself doing eyebrow-raising amounts of damage. This build is primarily a Havoc build, but as a consequence can work in Auric/Maelstrom. I have personally taken it into H40, with wild success.

Because of the particularities of the slap, you are able to stunlock Daemonhosts:

Note: This stunlock works with the Mk 3 as well, but the Mk 2's punch follow-up to the slap is why we are using it over the others.

Chaos Spawns can also be stunlocked, but require more setup, specifically with full 8 stacks of Heavy Hitter, No Hurting Friends activated, and all the impact nodes in the tree.
Build Breakdown

Strongman rewards us for killing enemies that we should be focused on. This can be potentially swapped with Can't Hit Me...Again for extra Gunner Resist, and if you do swap, you could use that instead of Gunner Resist on your curios, or stack a little of both. However, personal testing has shown that you get less damage resistance uptime swapping off of Strongman. Pumped Up is a strong contender due to automatic uptime over 75% Stamina (which you would not be using a lot of in combat) which is helped by Slam, and can be potentially further augmented with stamina regen perks on your curios.

My preferred sidearm is the Blastoom Mk III Grenadier Gauntlet. If you don't like the GG, you can take any Heavy Stubber you prefer. If you want to use the Foe-Rend Mk V Ripper Gun, you can take that with Inspiring Barrage, and then take the point off of Steady Grip for something else, should you choose to do so. With a proper dump stat Ripper (66% Ammo/74% Collateral), this reduces the magazine size to 19 rounds, and makes RoF blessings like Blaze Away and Inspiring Barrage proc off each shot made, with the trade-off of 17 less total reserve ammo, functionally one less mag, which you will probably not feel. Sounds like a good trade-off to me. Lowering Collateral has the least impact on the weapon. With this setup, Inspiring Barrage can regenerate your Toughness in 2 bursts.

Why no Pulverise? Simple put: The bleed stacks decay too quickly to be of use, compared to applying them manually yourself via Batter.

If there is another Ogryn on the team using Bonebreaker's Aura, you can swap to Stay Close! due to repeating auras not stacking.

Dominate allows us to carry our momentum (which is damage) between elites. This node may not make itself apparent in Auric, but can be of help in Havoc. Ogryn does not generally struggle against armor.

Bruiser rewards us for killing things that we should already be doing, which are elites. Ogryn's role on the team is to take and dish out damage EQUALLY, he does not struggle against single targets. There is no such thing as "letting the lil' uns take care of threats", that's your job.

Alternative pathing to No Hurting Friends: If you path through Attention Seeker and No Pushover, you can get to Hard Knocks which is the equivalent of an additional Skullcrusher, which can ramp up your damage even more.

Why No Hurting Friends!? Because it works globally, that's why. If you don't want free damage boosts from *anyone* taking damage, *anywhere*, which is *always*, plus the 15% TDR at max stacks which are easily to build, then fine by me.

Grenades are preference, but Bigger Box of Hurt can get more mileage in Havoc; You get 3 of them and the AoE stagger is always useful. Enemy health gets more inflated the higher you go in Havoc, and as a result, are more likely to survive a Frag Bomb explosion. Those can still be useful, especially for clearing Daemonhost Rituals; A bomb in the center of the ritual can kill all summoners, but this can be inconsistent.
A Pimp Named Tauntback

Taunt oriented version

Strongman is paired with Pumped Up for more damage resistance uptime compared to Can't Hit Me...Again, from which testing revealed has less uptime overall.

Because of a lack of Steady Grip, A Pimp Named Tauntback uses the Foe-Rend Mk V Ripper Gun with Inspiring Barrage/Blaze Away. With a proper dump stat Ripper (66% Ammo/74% Collateral, this reduces the magazine size to 19 rounds and can proc blessings quicker without sacrificing ammo reserves, and lowering Collateral has the least impact on the gun), Inspiring will regenerate your Toughness in 2 bursts.

For Loyal Protector: Valuable Distraction ramps up damage for *everyone* on the team, including you. Go Again instead allows you to spam Loyal Protector, in the style of Voice of Command, which enables near constant toughness regen and taunting. The choice between these two is ultimately preference. In Havoc, I would say the former edges out the latter in terms of team utility. In Auric, it does not make much of a difference either way due to lesser density and lack of enemy health inflation.

Cannot stagger Chaos Spawns from Loyal Protector due to the lack of the extra stagger compared to Indomitable, but Big Friendly Rocks can.

Curios

Generally, Ogryn curios can be x3 Toughness or x2 Toughness and x1 HP, especially in Havoc. In Auric, HP curios are too excessive.

For perks, it depends; If you have Can't Hit Me...Again, you can forgo 1 Gunner Resist, so it would be x2 +5% HP, x1 Gunner Resist. If you are using Strongman, x2 Gunner Resist and x1 +5% HP. Ability regen on curios is preference. Corruption Resist is viable in Havoc. Ogryn has a lot of stamina and quick regen, so Stamina curios are functionally useless and Stamina Regen perks could be unnecessary. Toughness Regen perks are useless because they only affect *coherency* toughness regen, which is disabled when in combat.
Ending
A full match on Clandestium Gloriana with this build:

Credit to Captain Rex for the name. Why is this called A Pimp Named Slickback? "I was present that game where Bushman wanted to test this on Auric, and since I am a mediocre memester and the slickback cringe from a few years earlier was still burned inside my mind, the connection between a pimp who's internet famous for slapping women and a comically large brute literally slapping the horrors of hell to death just arose from the shrouded depths of my corroded mind. I do not apologize. I regret nothing."

Critiqued and approved by Hamdolsun, the legend himself. Thank you ❤️
