Are Ancient Civilization Cores Important?
Yes, completely.

Without them, you stall out on high-tier bench upgrades, shields, homing and sniper modules, and other Level 60 research goodies.
Where to Get Ancient Civilization Core (With Map Locations)
There are three ways to get cores:

1. Defeat raid bosses you summon yourself.

2. Loot the Level 55 Marsh Island and Level 60 Feybreak Oil Rigs.

3. Send pals out on expeditions once you’ve built a Pal Expedition Station (and defeated specific tower bosses).
Way 1: Summoning Raid Bosses
To start, craft a Summoning Altar, slot the finished slab and brace for a serious brawl. Every boss listed below coughs up Ancient Civilization Cores 100% of the time, so don’t leave the arena without picking them up.

Summon Blazamut Ryu
You get: 2 Ancient Civilization Cores (3 on Ultra).
You need: 1 Blazamut Ryu Slab from 4 Blazamut Ryu Slab Fragments.
Find those fragments at: Cherry Blossom Cave Dungeons (Sakurajima Island).

Summon Bellanoir

You need: 1 Bellanoir Slab from 4 Bellanoir Slab Fragments.
Find those fragments at: Most Dungeons.

Way 2: Seizing Oil Rigs
High-risk loot runs out at sea.

Cores have a 93% chance to appear as chest loot in Level 55 Oil Rigs (Marsh Island) and 90% for Feybreak Island Oil Rigs.

Way 3: Pal Expedition Stations
Unlock this station at player Lv 15, slap it in your base, and queue expeditions while you do other stuff (leave it for around 60 in-game minutes).

But to get those cores, defeat these tower bosses first:

Victor & Shadowbeak
Unlocks expedition snow with 100% chance to obtain 1 core.

Saya & Selyne
Unlocks expedition Sakurajima with 100% chance to obtain 1 to 2 cores.

Bjorn & Bastigor
Unlocks expedition Feybreak (Hard included) with 100% chance to obtain 2 to 3 cores.

Here are some quick tips for Pal Expeditions:
  • Send pals with high Gathering or Transport so they haul bigger bundles.

  • Overlap expeditions. The timer keeps running while you raid or build.

  • Empty base storage first so return-loot doesn’t spill onto the ground.

I'm confused by what you mean in the last part when you mention that the pal expeditions could use pals with transport skills, or that the items could spill on the ground. I'm not sure if an update has changed things or if I have misunderstood the tip, but when I go on expeditions, the reward seems based on firepower, and the loot is stored in the expedition menu until I claim it, meaning it wouldn't spill on the ground. Am I confusing a different aspect of the game? Thank you for the great tips!
