Basics
1. Don’t be a hoarder. You don’t need even half of the items you find on the ground.
Your number one priority is the antidote and batteries because they open doors to antidotes. and electronic parts to craft batteries (electronics + scrap).

2.Watch your inventory so you don’t carry too much of things you don’t need, such as medkits, infected blood, painkillers, heavy melee weapons (mauls, hammers, spades), and ammo you’re not using (for example, 300 rifle rounds weigh about 10 kg, which is 1/5 of your starting inventory).
When you carry too much weight, your stamina recharges slower, and you also lose max stamina faster.

In my opinion, medkits are one of the worst items. They heal 100 HP, but you’ll rarely need more than 1 or 2 per run. They also weigh a lot and take too long to use.
Painkillers heal 50 HP over time but aren’t very necessary either. Bandages are usually enough—they heal 15 HP and you can craft almost unlimited amounts of them using clean water and cloth.

3.When you arrive on the map, the first two things you should do are: repair your car so you don’t have to do it when you’re running away from someone, and use the slow motion/map mode to see where you need to go. .

4. When there are 1 to 5 zombies, you can use your fists or melee weapon—no need to waste bullets. But once you start using your gun, keep in mind the game has a weird reloading mechanic: press R, then wait until the reload bar reaches the green zone, and press R again to reload very quickly.
How to Loot and Roam
5. Your mission is to reach the end of the map, not to clear every zombie or loot everything. Keep that in mind. When you arrive at a location, first try to find a gas can. If you have enough gas to get to the next location, move on. Every location has loot, but don’t waste your time or antidote unnecessarily.

6. Where to loot? Never skip the electric boxes—they almost always contain batteries or electronic parts.
Always check garages, shacks, and mechanic rooms—they have a high chance of containing batteries, gears, and other rare items.

Later in the game, you’ll find military cars and military boxes, which have a high chance of containing good weapons and ammo.

7.Don’t waste your batteries on loot containers if you don’t have a few spares.

Also, don’t waste batteries on learning stations. Instead, use your knowledge points at the base or later when you get a perk that lets you use them without batteries.
How to spend knowledge points
8. First of all, you always want to learn Knowledge Retention and Life Lessons—they increase your XP and knowledge points.

9.The second skill you want to train is Stamina, so you have more energy for actions.

10.Learning Fuel Scavenging is a big deal because it lets you find 3–5 units of fuel instead of just 1–2. This way, you can fill up your car for 2–3 locations or even skip some to finish faster.

11. The last knowledge tip is to learn these four perks.
Bolt Cutters — Allows you to enter doors and gates that were previously locked.

H.E.R.C Codes — Allows you to loot H.E.R.C stashes and enter H.E.R.C bunkers, which almost always contain good loot and antidotes..
H.E.R.C Stash

Modified Radio — Allows you to detect small stashes scattered across the maps. It emits a beeping radio noise when you’re near one.

Small stash loot isn’t as valuable as H.E.R.C stashes, but it can still contain good items sometimes.

Radio Jack — Allows you to use radio stations without consuming batteries.

miscellaneous tips
12.Don’t open the H.E.R.C laboratory unless you have infected blood to make an antidote. All the boxes require batteries and usually contain poor loot. .

13.NEVER pick up lightbars—you will NEVER use them, I promise. All dark spots in this game automatically light up enemies or loot objects anyway (plus, you have a flashlight on F :D). Lightbars are heavy and useless.

14.Later in the game, you’ll encounter fire zombies and burning ground or cars. If you catch on fire, you need to roll (press space) three times in a row, or you’ll die very quickly since you can’t heal it fast enough.

15.Having trouble killing special zombies? Don’t worry—they’re actually VERY easy.

1. Leaper - Wait for the leaper to scream, then dodge its jump attack. After that, spam melee attacks on its back to stun it, or just shoot a few bullets to kill it quickly.

2. Charger/Armored charger. - For a regular Charger, just shoot him down and dodge his rage charge.
The Armored Charger can be a bit scary sometimes. Aggro him and wait for his rage charge—be ready to jump aside. When he hits a wall or obstacle, he’ll be stunned. Quickly get close and spam him with a knife to break his armor. After that, you can shoot him down or, if you have the max melee perk, you can kill him while he’s stunned.

3. Spitter and Flamer:
For the Spitter, just shoot him with a few bullets and dodge his poison spit by pressing space. The Flamer is even easier—shoot him down from a distance and don’t get too close, because he will explode.

16. When you change locations, try to head for the one with a shopping van.
You can sell items you don’t need—like explosives, food, melee weapons, and grenades—to the shopping van in exchange for knowledge points.

Conclusion
If you use these tips in your gameplay, there’s a 99% chance you’ll finish all your runs to the last locations without any problems or mutations.
