How to Launch S.T.A.L.K.E.R. GAMMA from Steam (Using CoP)

I’ve seen a few people trying to get this working, and none of the guides helped me — so I figured it out myself. Hope this guide will help.

Before we begin, make sure you have:
• Anomaly installed
• GAMMA properly set up and running

I won’t explain how to install Anomaly or GAMMA — there are plenty of guides for that already.

1. Install a BAT to EXE converter (just search on Google).
2. Open Notepad and paste this:
→ Replace the path if your GAMMA is installed somewhere else.

3. Save it as:
LaunchGAMMA.bat

4. Drag that file into your BAT to EXE converter and convert it using default settings.
5. Save the new .exe somewhere (like your desktop).

1. Go to your Call of Pripyat install folder:
D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Stalker Call of Pripyat

2. Backup or delete:
• Stalker-COP.exe
• bin\xrEngine.exe

3. Move your new EXE file into the CoP folder and rename it:
Stalker-COP.exe

4. (Optional) Copy it into the bin folder and rename as:
xrEngine.exe

Just launch Call of Pripyat through Steam as usual.
→ It should open Mod Organizer 2 from your GAMMA folder.

From there, launch GAMMA like you normally would.

Bonus: Steam overlay, playtime tracking, and controller support work this way too!

Just restore your backups of:
• Stalker-COP.exe
• bin\xrEngine.exe

Or use Steam’s “Verify Files” option.
