Dune Awakening Achievement Guide with Descriptions
By SadKittyKitty
Here is everything I could find to help everyone get every achievement. Please let me know if there are any errors and I'll work to correct it. Good luck.

Thanks to TheRedKing for help with his co tributions, especially for his help with the Survivor's Guilt achievement information relating to Harkonnen aligned players obtaining the quest.

This is a work in progress. More details will be added, as well as screenshots.

Welcome to Arrakis
Welcome to Arrakis- Complete the introduction.
Simple as that. Complete the introduction.
Echoes of the Past
Echoes of the Past- Complete the first part of the story.
This quest is part of the "A New Beginning" chapter and involves entering an ancient cave, interacting with an altar, gathering Fremen components, and crafting a stillsuit. Players must also complete the "First Trial of Aql" in the Hagga Basin South. It is unlocked by completing the first part of the story, specifically by finishing the "Echoes of the Past" quest.
The Assassin's Handbook
The Assassin's Handbook- Complete the second part of the story.
This part of the Journey begins after you’ve completed the final Trial of Aql. Here's a walkthrough guide: https://www.ign.com/wikis/dune-awakening/The_Assassin's_Handbook
In Their Footsteps
In Their Footsteps- Craft a Stillsuit, Static Compactor, Thumper, Stilltent, Crysknife and place a Fremen Deathstill.
Everything except for the Stillsuit I believe is unlocked by completing the Fremen Trials. The tricky part, I've found in my late stage PvE playthrough, is making a Crysknife. To make it, you must have a sandworm tooth. This is obtained by getting eaten by a sandworm (make sure you're naked) and TURNING DOWN the offer from the man who speaks to you in the spiritual realm after you've been eaten. When you respawn, you will have the sandworm tooth and can now craft a Crysknife. Turning down the offer will also grant you the "Lisan Al-Gaib" achievement. Note that a Fremen Deathstill requires Steel, which is plentiful in places like Jabal Eifrit Al-gharb, Jabal Eifrit Al-janub, and Hagga Rift. It also requires you to Complete Journey: The Footsteps of the Fremen.
Job's Done!
Job's Done!- Complete any contract.
Simple as that. Go to a mission board, like the one at Griffin's Reach Tradepost in Hagga Basin South, and complete a mission found there.
Scrap Mogul
Scrap Mogul- Complete the "Scrap Mettle" contract chain.
Obtained from Sarem Urchok in Hagga Basin South. The chain can eihter be started by picking up a contract item from a scavenger camp in Hagga Basin South, starting SCRAP METTLE: Belated Delivery or SCRAP METTLE: Copper Required can be picked up from the Contract Board at Griffin's Reach Trading Post.
Kirab Instigator
Kirab Instigator- Complete the "Payback" contract chain.
Picked up from the mission board located at the Anvil tradepost in Eastern Vermillius Gap. The first quest should be called "Stealing from Thieves".
Infiltrate and Neutralize
Infiltrate and Neutralize- Complete "Finding Sehmo" contract chain.
Picked up from the mission board located at the Anvil tradepost in Eastern Vermillius Gap. The first quest should be called "Missing Sister".
Silver or Steel?
Silver or Steel?- Complete "Monster Slaying" contract chain.
Picked up from the mission board located at the Anvil tradepost in Eastern Vermillius Gap. The first quest should be called "Put Out the Eyes".
Survivor's Guilt
Survivor's Guilt- Complete the "Absent Colonel" contract chain.
If you are alligned with the Atreides faction, go to Helius Gate in the Eastern Shield Wall and pick up the contract named "Absent Colonel" from the mission board. If you are aligned with the Harkonnen faction, go to Riftwatch and pick up the contract named "Cleanup Detail" from the Harkonnen base there. It will still give you the achievement despite the different name. I picked up this mission after I finished the Harkonnen faction questline, but it may be available to get sooner.
The Scorpion’s Sting
The Scorpion’s Sting- Complete the "Counter Insurgency" contract chain.
Picked up from the mission board located at the Pinnacle Station tradepost in Jabal Eifrit Al-gharb. The first quest should be called "Scout the Enemy".
Intelligence and Counter-Intelligence
Intelligence and Counter-Intelligence- Complete the "Payload" contract chain, or "Counter Agent" contract chain.
Picked up from the mission board located at Helius Gate in Eastern Shield Wall. The first quest should be called "Find the Alecto".

Note- For players that are aligned with the Harkonnen faction, the Harkonnen version of this quest is started at Riftwatch (the Harkonnen fortress) in Hagga Rift. (Contribution of TheRedKing)
Culling the Fanatics
Culling the Fanatics- Complete "The Cult", "Dangerous Dealing", and "Cutting Edge" contract chains.
All of these contract chains can be found at the Mysa Tarill tradepost mission board.
Imperial Testing Station Investigator
Imperial Testing Station Investigator- Complete the Imperial Testing Station related contracts “DO NOT OPEN”, “Hostile Takeover”, “Execution Order”, "Lost and Found", and “Find Olmen”.
“DO NOT OPEN”- Started by accepting mission from Asmara Efendi at the Griffin's Reach Tradepost in Hagga Basin South.
“Hostile Takeover”- Obtained from the Anvil tradepost mission board.
“Execution Order”- Obtained from the Anvil tradepost mission board.
"Lost and Found"- Obtained by going to Imperial Testing Station No. 29 and finding "CHOAM Communinet Transceiver" and "Employee Records".
“Find Olmen”- Obtained from the Mysa Tarill tradepost mission board.
Among the Hawks
Among the Hawks- Visit Helius Gate.
The Atreides base found in the bottom right of Eastern Shield Wall on top of the cliff. You can either go left or right of the cliff to get there, but I recommend going right (as if you were heading to the Jabal Eifrit Al-gharb tradepost, then make two left turns to get up on the cliff) to avoid as many enemies as possible.
Among the Griffins
Among the Griffins- Visit Riftwatch.
The Harkonnen base found in the most southern part of Hagga Rift. I recommend heading east of the tradepost in Eastern Vermillius Gap, as it is the shortest path.
Harko Village
Harko Village- Visit Harko Village.
You can either pay to go there or fly there yourself. If you pay to travel, go to any of the four tradeposts (and maybe even Riftwatch and Helius Gate too) and find the ornithopter pilot. Pay them 2,500 Solaris to travel there. Keep in mind that you will need 2,500 Solaris to get back home! If you fly there, fly your ornithopter to any edge of the map. Once you are in the ornithopter traveling realm, fly south of Hagga Basin. Keep in mind that you can also track your destination from the map menu so you don't get lost.
Arrakeen
Arrakeen- Visit Arrakeen.
Once you are in the ornithopter traveling realm, fly east of Hagga Basin. Keep in mind that you can also track your destination from the map menu so you don't get lost.
Sea of Sand
Sea of Sand- Reach the Deep Desert.
You can only get to the Deep Desert by flying your ornithopter there. Fly your ornithopter to any edge of the map. Once you are in the ornithopter traveling realm, fly north of Hagga Basin. Keep in mind that you can also track your destination from the map menu so you don't get lost.
Desert's Grasp
Desert's Grasp- Reach the top of the Hand of Khidr.
Found in Jabal Eifrit Al-janub. There is a passage located at the south side of the mountain, pretty much on the ground inside the base that you can easily climb to get to the top without an ornithopter. This entrance is locked by progress and becomes accessible during the story when you reach the part where you have to assassinate the Glutton. Alternatively you can try climbing or flying up and finding an outer ledge path to climb to skip this.
On Top of the World
On Top of the World- Reach the top of Mirzabah.
Found in Eastern Vermillius Gap. There is a passage that you can easily climb to get to the top without an ornithopter.
Dentist
Dentist- Reach the mouth of the Stone Sentinel.
Found in Eastern Shield Wall. There is a passage on the behind the lion's face (on its back) that you can easily climb to get to the top without an ornithopter. It is too high to reach with an ornithopter.
Explorer
Explorer- Survey all regions in Hagga Basin.
There are 12 regions. Hagga Basin South, Eastern Vermillius Gap, Western Vermillius Gap, Jabal Eifrit Al-gharb, Jabal Eifrit Al-janub, Jabal Eifrit Al-sharq, Hagga Rift, Eastern Shield Wall, Western Shield Wall, The O'Odham, Mysa Tarill, and Sheol. Use a "Survey Probe Launcher" with "Survey Probe" Ammo (both crafted at a typical Fabricator or Survival Fabricator) and shoot it at a sufficient elevation in each of the 12 regions.
Merchant
Merchant- Visit all tradeposts in Hagga Basin.
There are only four. One in Hagga Basin South, one in Eastern Vermillius Gap, one in Jabal Eifrit Al-gharb, and one in Mysa Tarill.
Across the Sands
Across the Sands- Construct a Sandbike.
Can be achieved by crafting a Sandbike Mk1, which requires a Chassis, Hull, Engine, PSU, and three Sandbike Tread. All parts listed are specifically Sandbike Mk1 parts. It will cost you in total: 43 Copper Ingots and 19 Advanced Servoks.
Above the Sands
Above the Sands- Construct a Scout Ornithopter.
Can be achieved by crafting a Scout Ornithopter Mk4, which requires a Chassis, Cockpit, Hull, Engine, Generator, and four wings. All parts listed are specifically Scout Ornithopter Mk4 parts. It will cost you in total: 241 Aluminum Ingots, 82 Cobalt Paste, 46 Advanced Servoks, 22 Particle Capacitor, 22 Armor Plating, 8 Complex Machinery, 8 Industrial Pump, 14 Diamondine Dust, and 7 Carbide Scraps.
Vehicle Master
Vehicle Master- Construct all vehicles.
You only need to build one of every type of vehicle (like one type of sandbike, one type of buggy, etc.). You are not required to craft the parts yourself. You can obtain or borrow the vehicle parts from someone else and still have the achievement pop up. Here is every type of vehicle listed out. I excluded making vehicle add-ons (like scanners and storage), assuming that you would only need to build the basic required parts to drive it.

Note- You are not required to actually craft the parts for every type of vehicle. TheRedKing has unlocked this achievement by crafting only a Sandbike Mk1, Buggy Mk3, Scout Ornithopter Mk4 and Mk5, and an Assault Ornithopter Mk5, and was given the parts of a Carrier Ornithopter Mk6 and a Sandcrawler Mk6 by his guild and only put the pieces together. Make good friends with someone or a guild that will let you build the pieces for quick progress. (Contribution of TheRedKing)

Basic Machinery
Basic Machinery- Place a Fabricator, a Small Ore Refinery, a Fuel-Powered Generator, a Blood Purifier, and a Small Chemical Refinery.
In your base, build and place all above mentioned items. (280 Salvaged Metal, 45 Copper Ingots)
Advanced Machinery
Advanced Machinery- Place a Weapons Fabricator, a Survival Fabricator, a Vehicle Fabricator, a Garment Fabricator, a Medium Ore Refinery, a Wind Turbine (Omnidirectional?), a Wind Trap, an Improved Blood Purifier, a Spice Refinery and a Fremen Deathstill.
In your base, build and place all above mentioned items. An Omnidirectional Wind Turbine is assumed in the total resources cost found here. If the achievement does not pop up, try building a "Wimd Turbine (Directional)", which is 120 Duraluminum Ingot, 160 Cobalt Paste, 50 Calibrated Servok, and 3 Spice Melange. (160 Duraluminum Ingot, 530 Steel Ingot, 205 Cobalt Paste, 204 Silicone Block, 292 Complex Machinery, 40 Calibrated Servok)
Ultimate Machinery
Ultimate Machinery- Place an Advanced Weapons Fabricator, an Advanced Survival Fabricator, an Advanced Vehicle Fabricator, an Advanced Garment Fabricator, a Large Ore Refinery, a Large Wind Turbine, a Spice Powered Generator, an Advanced Fremen Deathstill, and a Large Spice Refinery.
In your base, build and place all above mentioned items. For "Large Wind Turbine", there is no such craftable item that has the name. I am assuming that it meant "Large Windtrap", and have included it into the total resources cost found here. (2,320 Plastanium Ingot, 480 Duraluminum Ingot, 1,756 Cobalt Paste, 2,940 Silicone Block, 1,855 Spice Melange, 1,120 Complex Machinery, 70 Calibrated Servok, 115 Armor Plating, 50 Industrial Pump, 40 Military Power Regulator, 30 Thermoelectric Cooler, 135 Advanced Machinery)
Weapons Manufacturer
Weapons Manufacturer- Craft a Lasgun.
Obtain the "Black Market K-28 Lasgun" Unique Schematic from an imperial testing station found in the Deep Desert. Once obtained, craft it in the Advanced Weapons Fabricator. (90 Plastanium Ingot, 58 Cobalt Paste, 37 Mechanical Parts, 28 Plasteel Composite Gun Parts, 8 Thermo-Responsive Ray Amplifier, 93 Spice Melange, 21 Spice-infused Plastanium Dust, 530ml Water)
Stake Your Claim
Stake Your Claim- Place a Sub-Fief Console.
Simple as that. Build and place a sub-fief console.
Bannerman
Bannerman- Place a Banner in your base.
Atreides get their banner from the Atreides Dining Room Furniture set bought from the Atreides Quartermaster in Arrakeen.
Harkonnen get their banner from the Harkonnen Dining Room Furniture set bought from the Harkonnen Acquisitor in Harko Village.
Both banners are found in the Wall Deco tab and built with a construction tool.
Feels Like Home
Feels Like Home- Decorate your base with at least 20 pieces of furniture, 5 carpets, 10 lights, and 5 ornaments.
Not too complicated. Build and place all of the above mentioned items in your base. If you do not have something, go to a tradepost or travel to Harko Village/Arrakeen and buy a decoration set to build.
Reuse
Reuse- Repair 100 items.
Build and place a repair station, and repair 100 items. You can repair the same thing multiple times.
Eco-Friendly
Eco-Friendly- Recycle 100 items.
Build and place a recycle station, and recycle 100 items. You can recycle equipment you have found in the world, not just the items you've built. Be careful not to recycle equipment you are currently using!
Deathstiller
Deathstiller- Use a Fremen Deathstill to deposit 100 corpses.
Simple as that. I recommend building multiple deathstills and having a storage container filled with corpses to constantly keep it filled. (Not an automatic process, you have to manually place the bodies in the Deathstill.)
Miner
Miner- Mine 10 000 units of all resource types with a handheld mining tool.
Based on assumption, I am guessing that this requires you to harvest all resource nodes with a handheld mining tool (cutteray). Do not use a vehicle mining tool towards this progress.
Granite Stone
Copper Ore
Iron Ore
Carbon Ore
Basalt Stone
Erythrite Crystal
Aluminum Ore
Jasmium Crystal
Stravidium Mass (Deep Desert)
Titanium Ore (Deep Desert)

Note- Current internet forums describe the Miner achievement being bugged as of writing this (July 30th, 2025). Check back later for when they fix this. (Contribution of TheRedKing)
Strength In Numbers
Strength In Numbers- Join or create a Guild.
Simple as that. Either join a guild or create one. Keep in mind that creating a guild costs solari, and you can only join a guild depending on the faction you side with. Join the official Dune: Awakening discord if you're looking to join a guild.
Hawks and Griffins
Hawks and Griffins- Join a faction.
Accept and follow the faction questlines from the Harkonnen or Atreides faction recruiters found at the Anvil tradepost in Eastern Vermillius Gap.
Trader
Trader- Trade with another player.
You must successfully trade (give, receive, or give and receive) an item with another player. A good place to try is Harko Village or Arrakeen. Just type in the global chat that you'd like to trade an item for an achievement and someone will likely help out. Bring an item or Solaris to trade. Approach a player and select the trade option. They will accept and you both will see a trading user interface appear.
House Operator
House Operator- Reach rank 5 with any faction.
No easy way to go about it either than to accept a faction and stay with them and do the entire questline.
Political Influence
Political Influence- Donate a vehicle to the Landsraad.
While in a guild, pay attention to the currently active Landsraad missions available. One house will ask for a specific vehicle to be donated, so drive to your allied faction's helipad (Atreides will go a few meters north of Helius Gate in Eastern Shield Wall to donate, while Harkonnens will go a few meters northeast of the Harkonnen base in Riftwatch), leave the vehicle you wish to donate in the open platform, and speak to the guy next to the hologram symbol to confirm your donation. Either faction can donate to any house, but you must donate through your chosen faction. For instance, I donated a Scout Ornithopter to House Vernius through my Harkonnen contact in Riftwatch.
The Divided Messiah
The Divided Messiah- Cook 100 meals with Muad’Dib.
You only need 20 mouse corpse, not 100. One mouse corpse makes 5 meals. Make them at the Survival Fabricator. Hunt mice (Muad’Dib) in the open desert. They appear around you periodically, I'd say every 2-5 minutes. They appear more frequently near spice.

Note- Mice (Muad’Dib) also spawn at the start area of the Deep Desert, making this a safe place to farm on account of there not being a sandworm to worry about. (Contribution of TheRedKing)
Staring Contest
Staring Contest- Escape the Sandworm's grasp and have it stare at you.
Pretty much you are recreating the scene from Dune Part 1. Go to any open sands and stand in the opening, but stay within running distance of safe land. Disturb the sandworm in the open sands. Stay in the open sands long enough and let it chase you. It is chasing you when it glides along the sand's surface with an open mouth. At the last possible moment, get to safe land. This should cause the sandworm to sit up and stare at you for a moment, and then return to the sand.
Those Who Control the Spice...
Those Who Control the Spice...- Gather 2000 Spice Sand from compacted spice mounds.
Use any kind of Static Compactor (basic one crafted at a Survival Fabricator after it has been unlocked by finishing the Second Trial of Aql in The Deep Struggle location in Eastern Vermillius Gap and have researched it) and find any spice sand locations around the map. Harvest all you can hold. Assuming you can gather 200 sand spice per spice node, it will take 10 spice nodes to be harvested.
Eye-Opening
Eye-Opening- Consume spice.
The ability to consume spice is locked behind the fourth trial. The Fourth Trial of Aql is located in The Hollow Hammer, in the Eastern Vermillius Gap. Finish it, and you will be able to consume spice. I am not sure if the achievement counts consuming spice infused food or not, but if all else fails try consuming Spice Melange after you have refined it in a Spice Refinery. It will cost 100 sand spice to make 1 Spice Melange.
Thirst Quenched
Thirst Quenched- Take 1000 sips of water from a container.
This is a long effort. Equip a container in your quickslot and drink whenever you can. Try not to drink from a water source. Just fill your canister with the water, then drink it. This is a long grind.
Time to Relax
Time to Relax- Sit in a chair.
Either build a chair and sit in it at your base, or go to any location with a chair and sit in it, like a tradepost.
Past, Present, and Future
Past, Present, and Future- Awaken Prescience.
Achieved after finishing the fourth trial. The Fourth Trial of Aql is located in The Hollow Hammer, in the Eastern Vermillius Gap.
Pressures of Thirst
Pressures of Thirst- Buy a cup of water.
Buy a cup of water from a tradepost merchant, or a water merchant/bartender at Harko Village/Arrakeen.
Water Shippers Hate Him
Water Shippers Hate Him- Dew reap 50,000 ml of water.
Get a Dew Reaper (crafted at a Survival Fabricator) and several empty containers. Find an area with several dew fields and continuously harvest water. Prime time to harvest water is at night.
Vampire
Vampire- Exsanguinate 50 000 ml of blood.
Continuously harvest blood from slain enemies until you get this. Higher Mk blood extractor grades means more blood is drawn per corpse. Higher Mk blood bag grades means more blood you can carry. Farm npc blood at lower level Enemy outpost locations.
Silent Assassin
Silent Assassin- Pilot a Hunter Seeker 25 times.
This is found in the Mentat skill tree. Complete this class's questline to obtain.
Fear is the Mindkiller
Fear is the Mindkiller- Recite the Litany Against Fear 25 times.
This is found in the Bene Gesserit skill tree. Complete this class's questline to obtain.
Blast Off
Blast Off- Release a Suspensor Blast 25 times.
This is found in the Trooper skill tree. Complete this class's questline to obtain.
Spin to Win
Spin to Win- Perform Eye of the Storm 25 times.
This is found in the Swordmaster skill tree. Complete this class's questline to obtain.
Planetologist
Planetologist- Complete all Planetologist training.
You begin this questline with the planetologist found in Hagga Basin South. Afterwards, you continue it by finding him in Imperial Testing Station No. 197 in Western Vermillius Gap.
Trooper
Trooper- Complete all Trooper training.
You begin this questline with the trooper found in Hagga Basin South tradepost. Afterwards, you continue it by finding the trainer in Arrakeen (Second floor of the center plaza, along the balcony).
Mentat
Mentat- Complete all Mentat training.
You begin this questline with the mentat found in the Harkonnen base (Riftwatch) in Hagga Rift. Afterwards, you continue it by finding the trainer in Arrakeen (First floor of the bar to the right when you first enter the center plaza).
Swordmaster
Swordmaster- Complete all Swordmaster training.
You begin this questline with the swordmaster found in the Jabal Eifrit Al-gharb tradepost. Afterwards, you continue it by finding the trainer in Harko Village (in the bend of the back alley behind the bank).
Bene Gesserit
Bene Gesserit- Complete all Bene Gesserit training.
You begin this questline with the Bene Gesserit found in Helius Gate in Eastern Shield Wall. Afterwards, you continue it by finding the trainer in Harko Village (the mouth of the alley past the Imperial (House Corrino) building).
Boss Rusher
Boss Rusher- Eliminate 50 boss enemies.

Any unique enemy counts as a boss. You can regocnise them when they give 80+ XP upon killing.

Easy way to farm: One outside on a landing pad in Khidirs Shadow, middle top part of base. Just exit your orni and kill him. The other is inside Mysa Tarill. Get the ID band at the altar, go inside and kill the melee enemy that has bene gesserit powers. (Contribution of TheRedKing)
Second Chance
Second Chance- Help yourself or someone else out of downed state 100 times.
Either play with a friend or group and help revive them, or go it alone and just revive yourself.
Own Medicine
Own Medicine- Use a Spitdart Rifle to eliminate 50 marksmen.
You must use a weapon that is called a spindart. It will not count if you use a Unique spindart. For example I used "Thufir's Best", which didn't get me the achievement until I switched to an Adept Spindart rifle.
Scrappy
Scrappy- Eliminate 500 Scavengers.
Mostly found in Hagga Basin South.
Kirab Killer
Kirab Killer- Eliminate 500 Kirab.
Mostly found in Eastern and Western Vermillius Gap regions.
Slaver Slayer
Slaver Slayer- Eliminate 500 Slavers.
Mostly found in all Jabal Eifrit regions.
Desertion Equals Death
Desertion Equals Death- Eliminate 500 Deserters.
Mostly found in camps underneath the surface across all Haga Basin regions.
Strike Breaker
Strike Breaker- Eliminate 500 Sandflies.
Mostly found in Eastern and Western Shield Wall.
Heretic Hunter
Heretic Hunter- Eliminate 500 Maas Kharet.
Mostly found in The O'Odham and Mysa Tarill.
Master Assassin
Master Assassin- Eliminate 500 House Troops belonging to your rival House (Atreides or Harkonnen).
This does not mean that you need to kill PCs in Deep Desert. This achievement only refers to killing the rival faction troops that appear at certain locations in Hagga Basin.

There are 2 bases per faction in Haga Basin to get this achievement.

To kill Atreides, go to the Aegis and The Passage of Artemis in Western Shield Wall. (Contribution of TheRedKing)

To kill Harkonnens, go to The Edge of Acheron in northern Sheol and The Beast's Claw in Eastern Mysa Tarill. (Contribution of TheRedKing)
Lisan al-Gaib
Lisan al-Gaib- Turn down the offer from the vision inside the sandworm.
Get eaten by a sandworm. Make sure you're naked before doing this! Then, you will speak to a guy in the spirit realm who will make you an offer. Refuse his offer to get this achievement, as well as a sandworm tooth that can be used to craft a Crysknife which is needed for the "In Their Footsteps" achievement.
