This is not a walkthrough or character list about Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days. Instead, this guide explores the symbolic and ethical structure of the four current endings, and what they might represent about real-life struggles.

This is not about philosophy, but about mechanisms, outlined in a condensed form, with no further details, concerning something wrong, profoundly wrong, even diabolical.

Flooding the villains with truth, exposing the violent laws and their crimes, is the only legal path to resistance and survival, even at the cost of suffering and loss.

The Network is an underground sewer-based system run by traffickers harvesting organs. This paradox (justice through crime) questions whether a corrupted system can be used to fight itself.


Trusting lying, slaver psychopaths, who kill and laugh instead of rescuing, leads to certain death. A society that believes its oppressors is doomed to extinction.

This is a warning about misplaced trust in evil structures disguised as saviors.


Escaping with truly honest people, those who use knowledge, patience, and compassion, is the only way to flee danger without severe harm or death.

The hospital rooftop evokes healing, risk, and transcendence. It becomes a place of liberation, but only if you’re with people who know how to save others without exploiting them.


Fleeing without fuel, a metaphor for knowledge and science, leads to failure and death.

Desire alone is not enough; preparation, foresight, and understanding are vital. Without intellectual and moral fuel, escape becomes another form of self-destruction.

Human reality mirrors all of these scenarios, at small and large scales, in all societies, throughout history. The true, eternal struggle is discernment:

• To recognize who is healing vs. who is harming.
• To distinguish compassion from manipulation.
• To protect life with joy, not by spreading suffering.

This is the daily work of a conscious human being, and the deepest message behind many survival stories: to be against torture and the illegal trade of human bodies.
