Greetings, traveler.

Whether you’ve stumbled upon this guide by chance or sought it out with purpose, I’m glad you’re here. My name is Everdawn, your captain! and I’ve created this guide to serve as a clear, practical path through a topic that can help you become a better crewmate.

Delegation of work
Hi there, so for our first subject of the night we are taking in the subject of job delegations which i will make in 4 roles
- > The Captain
- > The Pilot
- > The Raider
- > The Ship Gunner

And then for the fun part, which Prospectors are right for the role further down i will give an in general tier list. This is o.f.c personal opinion of what i have found to be the best.

The Captain

And yes its in this order >:D SAL IS THE ULTIMATE BASE MOMMY

Your role as the captain is not necessarily to be the pilot, but rather to shot-call and delegate responsibilities. Your role is dominated by in priority > Objective > Protect > Repair > Drone > Guns

DO NOT BOARD - THE CAPTAIN GOES DOWN WITH THE SHIP YE NERD!
Everything else is secondary - Do your best to steer into victory

Best Equips would be > Repair Drone > Sensor trap > Foam can

The Pilot
> Venture - Samno - Sal - Kae
As a small note Venture is the security system in many ships because of the warning he gets
which funnily enough saves you a slot.

Your role as the Pilot is to be the pilot, TAXI your folk around and show them the countryside...
SIKE. ITS TO BE THE DARN BEST PILOT IN THE WORLD - OUTMANOUVER AND KILL EM FOOLS ♥♥♥♥ YEAH PILOTS ARE THE ♥♥♥♥!!!
A good pilot makes or breaks the game on the HUNTER & SCOUT

Your role is dominated by Pilot the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ship > Drop repair drone so you can keep piloting > and shooting any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bastard that gets in your way > Hit the Shock Field
Trust yourself and cut them fools down with rams

The only gear which you should have on here is > Repair drone > Teleport reloader
It can help you keep up dps and fix your windows <3

The Raider
> Ion - Adrian - Kae - [ Mophs? ]
Any of the three first are great raiders, Mophs not so much unless you got alot of thrusters he lacks range of movement
If you are Ion please go hit their trusters with melee Its V on pc <3

If you’ve chosen the path of the Raider, then you’ve selected BRUTE FORCE. You're not here to command from the backlines or discuss peace. You're here to breach, break, and burn through obstacles—both literal and living.
Your role is dominated by > Raiding > Theft > Gun > Disruption
Be a menace and go kill them all THAT'S ALL FOLKS

But don't forget ships guns are primary dmg, you are only there for disruptions and theft

Double whammy is always welcome

The Ship Gunner
> Anybody but Mophs please for the love of god
No but for real
> Kae > Sal > Venture > Ion > Samno

Kae if on the right ship can hit alot of things around her, paired with a repair bot makes hectic fights less hectic. Less downtime away from guns.

If you’ve taken your place behind the cannons, then you are no longer a crewmate—you are a Ship Gunner, and your hands speak in thunder and lightning.
The Ship Gunner is the primary damage-dealer

Priorities is > Objective > Guns > Repair > Getting resources

You got the most important role in the game, deal consistent dmg and hitting the anti boarding device next to you. You should be dealing with the primary guns and dealing dmg if you aint shooting or dealing with a boarder you are failing.

You are the secondary raider when your ship is running or got a good gun on the back.
Defend your ship and finish them off you stud

Best gears for this is > Sensor trap > Repair drone

To end this section, getting crucial resources like ice and fuel majorly outweighs the likes of droning
you run out of ice and fuel, you're beggin for death
The Ship List
We got 4 Unique Cool ships. with a couple of meta's

Fantastic Maneuverability.
> Fastest ship
> 3 Unsecured doors
> 2 Secured doors
> 8 Utility slots

MAJOR DRAWBACK UNSECURED BACK EASY BOMB PLACEMENT

The things that shine on this baby is speed, annoyance and ram tactics.
it murders everything when it has atleast > Ram > Plama Canon
Outmanouver and kill
Its 100% The easiest ship to succeed on

This ship has The Ram Meta - Artifact Escape Meta

This i will give a rating of
1/5 Defensive
4/5 Offensive
5/5 Speed
2/5 Co-op Need

The scouts big brother, The Hunter

The middle of the road
> 2 Fastest ship
> 5 Unsecured doors
> 2 Secured doors
> 8 Utility slots

It has the same charm as its little brother with a little more bulk and 3 forward cannons, same tactics though a little slower than its brother

This i will give a rating of
3/5 Defensive
3/5 Offensive [Lacking in forwards slots for ram]
4/5 Speed
3/5 Co-op Need

Big Boy Bastion

The Check your Tank privilege
> Beefiest boy, best boy.
> 1 Unsecured door
> 6 Secured doors
> 9 Utility slots + one free security device

Survive and Overcome with overwhelming bulk
Weak to rams RAMS NEEDS NERFIES
ONLY OPEN DOOR IS ON THE ROOF

This i will give a rating of
5/5 Defensive
5/5 Offensive [3 forwards slots for ram]
1/5 Speed [135 speed]
4/5 Co-op Need - Bigger ship higher skill needed

The Too many guns ship
> Long range aggression.
> 4 Unsecured door
> 2 Secured doors
> 8 Utility slots

Survive and Overcome with overwhelming bulk
Weak to rams RAMS NEEDS NERFIES


This i will give a rating of
2/5 Defensive
4/5 Offensive [No ram slot but holy dmg]
1/5 Speed [135 speed]
5/5 Co-op Need - Bigger ship higher skill needed

It might have the highest potential, but requires ungodly good loot
my best guess is getting 4 points of interest, pray for shock and snipers.
IF you get rammed Pray and be on point. this is the hardest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ship hands down to you captain if you can get this thing a victory... dont take this ship casual please... i cry i cry

Hardpoints And You!

Barriers - > Fire > Storm
Preferably goes to back slots that are visible and are probably good stealing targets

Utility - Shields, Ammo regeneration and Smugglers Turn
- Shields are negligible they break to easily anyways and have a huge re-spawn time [Stackable]
- Ammo should only be kept to build up an ammo count great early useless later.
- Sal's the combo slots better than both of them and should be bigger priority
- Smugglers turn gets the biggest W in the right hands this is a game-changer on fast ships

Security devices - > Security device - > Shock - >
MINES ONLY WHEN USED BY EXPERIENCED TROLLS Otherwise they go to the back
Mines do 20 dmg pr nade

These are best at the front where gunners and pilot can hit them
Rams are very situational and are not recommended unless paired with plasma and a good pilot

Something I think is underrated about the privateer is the interior layout. Good luck stealing the artifact or front turrets from a privateer with the crew defending.

Mophs i feel is intended to be a ninja style boarder. as in, he's physically the weakest of the three boarder characters, but with his camouflage ability, he can quickly rush past players who go to check the doors when an intruder is notified (especially if he breaks through the security doors with the drill charge).

Effectively, he's more the gremlin of the boarders. intended to cause as much trouble for the crew on the other ship as possible before he's either found out and taken out, or teleports back to the ship. In a way the opposite of Ion, who's the heavy of the boarder class characters, able to do a lot of damage to the ship.

Depending on ship i would agree, on scout its good on back or front depending on setup

Shockfield is not great to have on the front. Instead, put them on the front-most side panels.

i dont appreciate the mophs slander (but he is weak compared to the rest of the rooster buff ma boi) but i agree with all these talking points from beta to now, pls nerf ram!
