Trove: A 100% Steam Achievement Guide (made by someone who did it in February)
By AurumSandy
I couldn't find a single Trove 100% achievement guide when I decided to try this game, and I'm not sure if there is one. But as someone who got every achievement months ago, I thought I'd give my 2 cents on how I got all of these achievements. It was. A grind.

Introduction

Hello! I'm going to be fast with this, because I'm sure you came here to achievement hunt, not for lore exposition. Just a couple of things I need to clarify.

1. As the title states, I earned every Steam achievement in the game in February, so all of the advice I give will be given by someone in February. So I dearly apologize if anything here is outdated, and I especially apologize if anything here is incorrect.

2. I will be honest. Trove is a game that takes a lot of time and grinding if and only if you don't spend money. If you spend money, it will speed up the grind. But it is definitely possible without money, and I will share alternates to the people who don't wish to.

Just to clarify that I am not promoting spending money, I'm just being honest and saying that achievements are easier with money.

Thank you to TrueSteamAchievements by the way, you guys are lifesavers.

Now that that's out of the way, let's begin! Feel free to add your own tips in the comments for anyone looking to get every achievement! I'm sure there were much better methods than mine.
Stay Subclassy!
Select a Subclass

TLDR: Once your character's level 10, click the fifth square of your character sheet and pick your subclass.

Pretty simple. Get to level 10, and on your character sheet, there's a fifth box you can click on. Do note that you need said character to use their subclass. So you need a minimum of two characters.

If you don't get the achievement upon picking the subclass, try talking to Queebly.

Beaucoup Bombs
Throw 5000 bombs in Bomber Royale

TLDR: Get it randomly or try using Gunslinger in the Shadow Tower

This was arguably the most confusing one of the bunch. The most normal method is to, well, obviously throw 5000 bombs in Bomber Royale. However, how I got it was through defeating Dreadnaught in the Shadow Tower as Gunslinger.

Weird, right?

But while researching this, I wasn't the only person who got this from the Shadow Tower. The most common consensus was due to playing Gunslinger (I was also Gunslinger). But people have gotten the achievement with Shadow Hunters and Fae Tricksters and Boomerangs.

I assume certain abilities or items are coded like bombs or explosions.

I don't know, this is a very glitchy achievement and I don't believe it's been patched. Try using Gunslinger in the Shadow Tower. Or maybe you'll just get it randomly.

Don't stress on this one.

Top Bomber
Win your first Bomber Royale match

TLDR: Win a Bomber Royale match

Obtaining this achievement is honestly pretty easy, as most Bomber Royale players go afk to farm the Bomber Royale rewards. You might have to fight one or two players, but winning first place should give you the achievement.
Shadow Hydrakken Achievements
Enter the Shadow Tower and defeat the Shadow Hydrakken on Normal Difficulty

Enter the Shadow Tower and defeat the Shadow Hydrakken on Hard Difficulty

Enter the Shadow Tower and defeat the Shadow Hydrakken on Ultra Difficulty

TLDR: Beat them in the Shadow Tower.

I'm not sure how else I can TLDR this.

Truthfully speaking, there really is no optimal strategy. I just played the game until I could do it.

If you want to know my strategy, I got my Gunslinger to 30k power, grabbed the Valorous Vial that has a chance to regenerate when dealing a crit, used the Arcane and Surestrike Emblem, and the knight subclass. I just spammed Run and Gun in the air, constantly moving left and right at a safe distance to avoid getting hit with the acid.

If you want to dramatically speed things up, ask for help. Whether it's the discord, or someone else. Forming a party will help you get this achievement faster.

Note: You have to beat up every Shadow Tower boss in Ultra Difficulty before you can fight Hydrakken, and you will have to do this every week as the counter resets.
Darknik Dreadnought Achievements
Enter the Shadow Tower and defeat the Darknik Dreadnought on Normal Difficulty.

Enter the Shadow Tower and defeat the Darknik Dreadnought on Hard Difficulty.

Enter the Shadow Tower and defeat the Darknik Dreadnought on Ultra Difficulty.

TLDR: Win.

Same as above, you'll most likely have to play the game and get to a state where you can either do this, or ask for help and get a party of people to fight it.

My strat to this was similar, except I got the ring polisher to give me Berserk Slinger and took advantage of the lifesteal my class has.

Dreadnought is annoying in that his laser usually always hits you, so lifesteal is a requirement for classes like Gunslinger unless you wish to lose fast.

Note: You have to beat up every Shadow Tower boss in Ultra Difficulty before you can fight Dreadnought, and you will have to do this every week as the counter resets.
Reap what you Sow + Plant's Best Friend
Both achievements are together because they're farming related, and I might as well explain it all at once.

Harvest from 50 plants.

TLDR: Either get it alongside Plant's Best Friend or go to Cursed Vale and pick weeds.

Water 1,000 plants.

TLDR: Buy a lot of plants and golden watering cans and water them in a 3x3, or make a lot of plants and watering cans using the Gardening Bench.

First achievement is easy, to be honest. It's the 2nd one that's a grind. So it's either a lot of time, or a lot of money.

The Not Money Way:
1. Craft the Gardening Bench using the Builder's Crafting Bench.
2. Get to Gardening Level 150 and craft the Harvesting Station.
3. Make a lot of Compost Heaps. See Reduce, Reuse, Recompost.
4. Make a lot of seeds, Qubbage is a good one.
5. Plant them in a 3x3, the watering can waters in that radius.
6. Craft the watering can in the Gardener section in the Gardening Bench.
7. Water your crops and let them grow or regrow. You'll have to wait a bit to be able to water them, unless if you use Insta-Grower.
8. Repeat.

The Money Way: Buy watering cans or golden watering cans, buy enough Glim and create enough organic refuse. Buy the materials to get to Gardening level 150 easily, and buy the materials for the seeds. Buy Insta-Grower to grow them fast. You can either water them and wait, or buy so many watering cans and seeds that you'll get this achievement done in one session.

Reduce, Reuse, Recompost
Compost 10,000 items at the Compost Bin.

TLDR: Use the compost bin at the area with the Karmaic shrine and compost 10,000 materials.

This achievement is simple but it takes some time, especially if you're new.

The Money Way: Buy 10,000 of an Eye of Q'bthulu, and compost it.

The Not Money Way: The Eye of Q'bthulu is a pretty simple grind. Just use the Loot Collector to loot collect shadow gear or farm shadow caches through the Delves or Shadow Towers. Or just play the game and worry about it later. You should be able to get a total of 10,000 materials by the time.

If you don't get the achievement, it might come after restarting your game a couple of times.
Starting Spelunker + Super Spelunker
Get your first GAS module upgrade.

Fully upgrade your GAS Module

TLDR: In Geode Sanctuary, find the Module Forge and get the materials to upgrade your GAS module.

It's a pretty simple achievement, albeit it takes a lot of grinding.

In Geode Sanctuary, the Module Forge allows you to upgrade your mining gear, one of them being the GAS module. Get the materials needed and you'll get the achievement once for upgrading it, and then maxxing it.

Quirkstone - 110
Sparkzite - 340
Sun Sap - 20
Wallflowers - 420
Metamatter - 54

The Money Way: Buy every material on the market except for Metamatter.

How to get metamatter? Three ways.
1. Geode Mastery rewards not only give you some for your first levels, but give you a lot of Reliquaries.
2. On that note, Reliquaries will give you a lot. Mastery Reliquaries give you 3 metamatter, with the lodestar giving you 2 more. That's a total of 5 metamatter. Not just that, but Luminous Reliquaries while expensive can grant you 8-12 metamatter!!!

WARNING: USING THE LODESTAR ON THE LUMINOUS RELIQUARY WILL GIVE YOU ONLY A GUARANTEED 3-5 METAMATTER.

3. The Crystallogy Workbench lets you craft a Metamatter Manifesto, which gives you 4 metamatter a week when fully charged. Builds up, so I'd suggest crafting this as soon as possible, it'll help you in the Geode Mastery achievements.

The Next Step + Further Heights
Achieve Geode Mastery 20

Achieve Geode Mastery 100

TLDR: Grind a lot of materials, craft items that grant Geode Mastery XP, and get unique companions.

Oh boy, what a grind. There are a lot of methods to getting Geode Mastery XP, but it will take a lot of grinding, and all of these methods.

Method 1: Companions.
Companions can be hatched using eggs at the Egg Incubator. Each time you get a new unique one, you get Geode Mastery XP. Personally, I didn't get every single companion, but they can give you a LOT of XP.

Companion Rarity
Mastery XP
Common
50
Uncommon
100
Rare
250

There are 11 pets in each rarity. Getting every single one could net you a load of levels.

Method 2: Delves.
By doing delves, you'll be able to craft Delve Allies in the Delve Workbench. Some allies can grant you 50 Geode Mastery XP, with there being 29 Delve Allies to craft.

Method 3: Module Forge.
Upgrading your gear in the Module Forge gives you Geode Mastery XP. I honestly don't know how much, but it's a lot that it shouldn't be ignored. Although with how slow obtaining metamatter is, it's a process that'll take a long time.

See Module Forge + metamatter discussions in the Spelunker achievements.

Method 4: Crystallogy Workbench.
A lot of the permanent items (costumes, tomes, allies etc) grant you Geode Mastery XP if you craft them. Look over the collections to see what gives you Geode Mastery XP.

The Money Tip: Look over your collections for Geode Mastery collection items. See if you can purchase any in the market, and it'll grant you XP.

If there are any more I forget, please let me know.

The Gem Forger + A Builder's Focus + Perfection!
Using the gem forge, upgrade a Stellar Gem stat to max.

TLDR: You can get a Stellar Gem by chance or in U-9 Adventure worlds. Max the Stellar Gem to 25 and upgrade one of its stats at the Gem Forge to 100%

Using the gem forge, upgrade all of the stats on a Stellar Gem to max.

TLDR: Max a Stellar Gems and upgrade all of their stats to 100%.

Using the gem forge, upgrade all of the stats on nine Stellar Gems to max

TLDR: Max 9 Stellar Gems and upgrade all of their stats to 100%.

Oh boy, this was the worst achievement in my opinion. All of the others were grindy, but none were as annoying to work with as this one was. You know those 365 daily achievements? This one reminded me of them.

Step by Step:

1. Craft the Gem Forge, you can get tentacles through loot collecting shadow gear.

2. Obtain Gems.
Some things to note, while you can use any 9 gems, provided that they're stellar, each of them will have a certain percentage completed in the gem forge. Some might have a green stat and two yellow ones, while others may have one yellow and two red stats.

If you want to make this much easier, I'd suggest upgrading gems with higher stats.

3. Max gems.
Easy way to max gems besides grinding boxes out in adventure worlds?

Gem Booster Boxes have a chance of giving you gem sparks, which give you 30000 gem dust. Huge.

Use Ninth Lives at level 20-25 gems if you want the highest chance of maxing them out and saving gem dust.

Class Gem Keys can be used in Shores of the Everdark. Not only can they grant you Stellars, they can grant you Crystal Gems, which can be loot collected to give you gem sparks. I maxed all of my gems using Shores of the Everdark.

4. Bound Brilliance.

Now this is where it gets annoying. To upgrade gems, you need Focuses.

Focuses upgrade your gems by a set amount. Usually it's

Builder's Rough Focus: 1%
Builder's Precise Focus: 2%
Builder's Superior Focus: 3%

Sometimes, however, due to the stats of your gems, the percentages'll either increase heavily, giving you sometimes whopping amounts like 9%, or sometimes it'll deflate like a balloon and your Rough Focus won't even give you 1%.

However, to craft these Focuses you need Bound Brilliance. There are multiple ways to get these, and to be fair I was feeling burnt out, so I didn't do all of these and so it took me a long time to get Perfection.

Book of Bound Brilliance: When charged, gives you 5 Bound Brilliances a week.

Bomber Royales: You will see Bomber Royales, hug them and kiss them and thank them. Bomber Royales give you tokens, and there are 2 prizes (3, but later), you can get from them. A whopping 3 Superior Focuses, or a huge 10 Bound Brilliances. Note that you'll need 60 tokens, but you can easily get that by both the daily quests and the Bomber Royale tomes.

Corruxion: There are two dragons that alternate each weekend. Luxion, which lets you vote for whatever merch he has, or Corruxion, who spawns under Luxion.

His shop sells up to 10 Bound Brilliances for 20 Chaos Cores, or up to 10 Lustrous Gem Boxes but those are a waste of an already rare material in my opinion.

How do I get Chaos Cores? A chance from chaos chests, or guess, guess! Bomber Royales, which give you 3. Corruxion spawns every 2 weeks, allowing you to get 6, so that's a guaranteed 3 free Bound Brilliances.

Leaderboard: People will recommend you to get every class up to certain levels to get rewards. I'm not sure how true this is, because to be honest I didn't do it. But every week on the leaderboard, there will be contests for a set of classes. Earning a score of 125+ on these contests will grant you 7 Bound Brilliances, so theoretically you can get 21. Don't quote me on this.

Gem Days and Daily Adventures: Every week, you might find a daily adventure. On I believe Tuesdays, you can do one for 3 Lustrous Gem Boxes, which are very nice to have. On Gem Days, you can also get up to 3 Lustrous Gem Boxes in Dungeons, or 6 if you're a Patron.

Events?: Sometimes events can let you get boxes that can give you Bound Brilliance or Focuses. This is unreliable, however. I've only gotten the chance to get these on one event, and this was before I even know how frustrating these were.

You can only money your way into gems, not Bound Brilliance.

Question: Which focus do I get? If you were lazy and burnt out like me, you just grabbed 10 Rough Focuses and left, but through grinding, you could very well get Precise Focuses. Doing Delves each week can also net you Superior Focuses as long as you have the Diamond Dragonite.

Upgrade 9 gems to max stats, and you should get it. Have fun!
ok thats it
As I said before, if there are any tips and tricks or corrections you'd like to say, please say it in the comments!

I'm aware Trove has more achievements, but I'm only talking about the ones officially on Steam.
