The Tips:
1. Unrestricted Classes
You can use any weapon from any class at any point in the game by changing tabs at the top in the Trader. Letting Ninjas carry Medic guns, Sharpshooters carry Ninja swords, Commandos use Grenade Launchers, or Engineer benefit from Firebug's Dragon Breath shotgun.
You can even use the sidearms of other classes! Here's an image of Ninja's loadout with Sharpshooter's sidearm and Firebug's primary.
1b. This is even more useful when you combine a weapon's ammo attachment slot to your class' abilities.
For example: At Level 8, Ninja has a perk that increases their CUT weapon damage when aiming with ranged weapons. You can change the ammo type on the Commando's assault rifles to deal CUT damage to benefit from your Class' perk!

2. Know Your Enemy!
The CODEX tab gives you detailed information on where to find specific loot, damage types, characters. I've also included a link to a few user-created guides at the bottom with even more helpful information.
The Enemies tab will show you weaknesses and abilities of the Zed's you're up against!
Bonus tip: On Normal Difficulty, a Ninja with Dual Katanas only has to hit the face of a Scrake 2 or 3 times with heavy attacks to kill it! Dont bother with body shots and utilise the Ninja's ability or grenade to hold the Scrake still!

3. Daily Challenge: Deal Gadget Damage.
Some classes start off with relatively weak grenades that make it seem like you'll spend a dozen matches just to do one Daily. But as you play the game, you'll complete these Daily's faster and faster.
You'll want to get to at least Level 4 to get Grenade upgrades. They often increase the damage of your grenade letting you complete it much faster.
2b. Also using the Ammo Bag will let you resupply for an extra grenade and some ammo during the wave.
Level 10 will also let you carry an extra grenade.

4. Explosive Door Locks
After applying an Explosive Door Lock, there will be a health bar that displays how much health the door has before detonation.

You'll also be able to temporarily re-open the door by pressing E (default button), allowing you to quickly get on the other side without destroying the lock! And if you have a Multitool, you can repair Door Locks!
4b. Currently there is a bug: If you apply an explosive lock to a door that's already received damage from zeds, the health will be incorrectly displayed as full until the door is hit again.

5. Slicing and Dicing Accurately
The angle of your melee attacks changes with movement direction (Left, Right, Forward and Backward). Holding down for a heavy attack and moving around will show you how you can change the angle before striking.
Remember to still go for headshots with melee weapons!

6. Weapon Inspection
Tap R [Reload] when fully reloaded to play the weapon inspection animations. Some weapons have 3 unique animations.
(Weapons that are out of ammo cannot be inspected.)

7. Looking for Loot
Some objects can be destroyed for crafting loot. They appear around the map and even far out of bounds. Keep an eye out! Different maps will also contain more loot than others.
One Solo Match on one map (Horzine Factory):
One Solo Match on another (City Streets):
Mutation waves will further mix up how much loot you bring back, as zeds drop specific materials.
7b. Shooting these objects also awards a small amount of DOSH!

8. Solo vs Multiplayer
It's easier to play Solo than on Multiplayer with a full team: Boss Health is greatly reduced and there are less zeds to deal with per wave. You can even complete some challanges like 'Give Dosh to players' by dropping it and picking it up yourself! (More on these achievements in Tricks).

9. Donating Dosh
If you're having issues with giving Dosh to players, try opening the pod and using the menu on the left! You can also use this method to directly give players specific amounts without greedy players swiping it off the ground.

10. Animated Player Cards
Completed the 3rd tier of a challenge (e.g. Kill 150 Husks) you'll get an animated version of the reward player card!

11. Difficulties and YOU
It's recommended you level up your class accordingly when attempting higher difficulties as not to drag down the rest of the team. My recommendation (as a Solo player):
Normal -> Level 1 - Level 12
Hard -> Level 12 - Level 20
Hell on Earth -> Level 20+
Of course, earlier is completely possible. I myself can do it with a Level 10 Ninja or a Level 8 Firebug playing Hard Solo.
11b. Depending on the difficulty, your starting wave balance might be:
Normal = 1000 Dosh
Hard = 500 Dosh
Hell on Earth = 50 Dosh
15c: Left over Operational Budget does not transfer into the starting wave.

12. Turrets and Traps can be reused for free!
Any turret or trap activated by a Multitool can be used again for free after the cooldown - even if you dont have a Multitool equipped and even if you weren't the player who activated it - by moving up to it and holding Activate.
12b. HOWEVER, if you do have a Multitool and you use the Multitool to reactivate it, it will cost you a Multitool use! Be aware!

13. No Text Chat
In the absence of text chat, you can hold ALT (default button) to bring up the Comms Wheel.
Middle-clicking while it's active will bring up even more options.
You can also press Y (default button) to Ping areas and enemies for your team!

14. Slide, Aiming and Zip Line Distance Challenges
The sprinting distance challenge will probably be your easiest and simplest to unlock, as well as aiming distance. As for 'Zipping Along', I think the longest zip line might be on Army Depot.
As for Sliding distance, you slide faster down stairs and ramps, and the longest ramp I've found is on Army Depot too! Just underneath the zip line in the previous image.
And you can Aim while Sliding and Zip Lining to get that movement distance while aiming challenge done. Aim and Slide distance also takes into account height, allowing you to progress faster when dropping from a ledge!

15. Multitool Doors
After using a Multitool to open a door, they cannot be closed again after opening.
My advice is to open them as a last minute escape route when holding out in a room, so you can focus fire on less doorways and have a clean getaway when ♥♥♥♥ hits the fan!
The Tips (Part 2):
16. Making the most of your Operational Budget
Leftover Operational Budget does not carry over into the first wave when you start a game. So after picking your starting items and hitting ready, take notice of how much Operational Budget you had left. This image shows I had just enough to bring another attachment into that first wave!

So after that game, I went back and created a new loadout for my pistol, crafted an attachment within that leftover budget and saved it alongside my better pistol loadout.

Notice my leftover Operational Budget and my pistol's Dosh value now!
Before:

After:

Now I have even more trade-in value on my starting weapons, essentially giving me more Dosh to work with during the match!
17b. Note that weapon attachments can only be saved to one loadout at a time. If you want the same Scope you have on your first loadout, you'll have to craft a new one.

17. Zed-Time
Kills/Damage to Boss during Zed Time (Blue Bar) will slightly extend Zed-Time by a small amount.
Kills/Damage to Boss made when Zed Time is in cool-down (Yellow Bar) will not accumulate Zed Time!

18. Protect your neck!
Don't put your back to Zed holes!
The Tricks:
Multiplayer Achievements / Challenges done Solo
The 'Give 500 Dosh' Achievement and 'Play 10 Matches' Achievements can all be be done Solo! Just pick the Multiplayer option in the Main Menu and tick Matchmaking off when choosing a map. Give yourself Dosh by dropping it on the floor (B is the Default button) and picking it back up!

Some things in life ARE free!
Save those syringes! Activating the pod after a wave ends will heal you to full health for free! This is great for Solo players, but otherwise, it's best to let the Medic on your team heal you for extra Dosh. Upgrading your armour will max out your armour health too, so don't repair before upgrading, just upgrade. Furthermore, buying a new gun will give you a surplus of ammo - the ammo from the previous weapon will not transition even if it's the same weapon but with a few attachments. So, if you're using your pistol to shoot all those loot objects, consider buying the upgraded version after you've spent it's ammo!

Perfect Block
You can perfect block Siren's projectiles and the Impaler boss' rockets! Will test with other enemy projectile weapons in future!
Edit 1: User 'Bonesaw' reports you can even perfect block the Scrake's grapple attack (even with a knife!) and the impact damage (not explosion/fire damage) of Husk rockets! Potentially triggering your Ninja perfect block skills more often!

"Get Over Here!" - Scorpion, Mortal Kombat
When using the Ninja's grapple ability, you will pull yourself towards most enemies. Except the Husk and the Crawlers, they instead get pulled to you!

Seeping through the cracks
Did you know the Medic, Firebug and Engineer can damage enemies through doors? Try throwing your grenade at a locked door that is getting attacked and the zeds on the other side will take damage! These classes can also use their abilities to damage through doors, but the Engineer's Ability will just stumble the zeds on the other side and you wont be able to open the door while the ability is active. Can even explode barrels from the other side of the door! Sharpshooter, Engineer, Ninja and Commando grenades will not effect zeds on the other side of doors.

Explosive Executions
Executing Fleshpounds or Scrakes will explode the area around you! Just beware, there's a second or two between the execution and explosion where you're still vulnerable to the zed's around you!

Resupply
Remember you can Resupply from the Trader DURING a wave.
This is especially useful during Boss Waves when money doesn't matter, but healing syringes do!
Hold F (default button) during a wave to paint the way to the Trader during an active wave.

Zoomies
You slide faster down staircases! As mentioned in the tips section, this is good for that Slide Distance challenge completed. Also, you can apply your crouch buffs (like the first perk for Sharpshooter) while using a zip line by activating while crouched!

Faster Movement
User 'Greed' advises us that while sprinting seems the most natural way to get around quick, you should also throw in your Dash while sprinting too, by either looking or moving slightly off centre and pressing the Dash button. Thanks for the great advice Greed!

Save your ammo!
Destructible objects such as loot objects and hazards can both be destroyed by bashing or by the medic pistol's rechargeable darts! (Medic darts dont immediately destroy these objects, but instead do Damage Over Time to them lol it just takes a second after one dart).
Also, remember you have a knife! So if you're feeling skilful, consider using it on weaker zeds that are alone or in very few numbers, so as not to risk further armour repair costs in your efforts to reduce ammo costs!

Cheat of the Week
Turns out the Weekly doesn't always have to be on Hard difficulty! You can change the difficulty of the Weekly Challenge but quickly changing it in the menu before it locks!
Easter Eggs & Secrets:
LOL
You can replace the files in "Steam\steamapps\common\Nightfall\Nightfall\Content\Movies" to play any video you want for main menus, loading screens or in-game computer screens.
Check out my new main menu!
"JUST DO IT!"
You can also delete the Logo start-up files to get to the menu quicker!

Possible Future Maps?
A screen on the map 'Convoy' reads through breached Horzine facilities, detailing a few in-game locations like Army Depot (Hargis Army Depot), Convoy (Parkman Air Force Base), Radar Station (Carmichael Radar Annex) and some not currently in-game: 'Baker Air Force Base in Tomball, Texas' and 'Fort Malone in Selma, Alabama' as well as another location but all details are CLASSIFIED.

(Will try to get clearer images next time I'm on this map!)

Scene from Announcement Trailer
The scene from the announcement trailer can be found on the map 'Horzine Factory'.
Scene is at 0:52

Possible Future Weapons/Classes
On a wall in the armoury there are outlines of some past weapons, some with differences (like the M16 not having a grenade launcher) and a new weapon that looks to be a Skorpion. Beneath there is a note that reads "Bad Santa, please bring more guns!". Bad Santa could be a nod to Baddest Santa from KF1 or Badass Santa from KF2.
Possible future weapons for all classes? Return of the SWAT class? Christmas release date? Return of Santa character? Time will tell!

Note: None of these weapons where featured in the Roadmap 2025 Rearmament Update image except for one, near the bottom right that looks like a double-barrel shotgun. This gun's in-game name is going to be the "Streik Dual Defender Shotgun".

BioCola
A soft drink brand that's appeared throughout the franchise, BioCola advertisements, vending machines and bottles can be found as props on some maps like Army Depot.

Maneater and Red Orchestra 2:
Screenshot I took during the Beta, these items can still be found in the main room, underneath the TV screen. There are a few duplicates around the main hub too.

Maneater / Crocodiles in the sewers!
User 'bad@chaos' informs me the alligator in the Sewers map is 'Rosie', the first boss from Tripwire's previous game Maneater. (Thank you for your contribution bad@chaos!)

G.I. Joe player card
Obtained via pre-order, the G.I. Joe player card's description is a variation of the line "Fighting for freedom, wherever there's trouble" featured in the G.I. Joe Movie Theme Song.

The line is at 1:10

Locked Door
In the main hub, you may notice a large orange vault door called "Doorway 31". This is the message displayed when activated:

Perhaps this will be a new area added to the hub in a future update.
My best guesses are the return of the Dosh Vault or the return of PvP (maybe Player vs Zed mode again). Who knows!

Horzine Mark 7 Armour
You may notice some dead soldiers wear something similar to the Horzine Mark 7 Armour, first introduced in KF1 with the DLC character Agent Wilkes.

Big Brother
Cameras will follow you when in close proximity. How ominous!

RnD Lab Experiments
User 'Greed' blesses us with another find. This time a computer in the map RnD Lab that reads
"Speciment Notes: Camouflage Efficiency at 96%. Research shows pigment granule decay every 13.78 sec. Subject Specimen deemed not yet fit for active combat."

Potentially hinting at the 'Stalker' enemy from past Killing Floor games that could turn invisible.

I also noticed this screen when exploring the map that hints at some sort of Zed Fight Club experiment that pits zeds against each other in one of the larger rooms of the map.

Misc Bug Info:
Broken Keybinds
In the event your keyboard starts to have a mind of it's own / your keybinds break for no apparent reason, delete the item "EnhancedInputUserSettings.sav" located in:

C:\Users\_____\AppData\Local\Nightfall\Saved\SaveGames

In the past I've deleted the whole folder without anything going wrong, but I think it's that specific file, according to what users have said.

Video Settings
The developers have acknowledge the game needs optimising. In the meantime, I've already linked a great guide below for performance settings, but for quick advice; you should absolutely turn off 'Lumen' in 'Global Illumination' setting. It's very demanding!
My Current Settings (5060 Ti, i7):

Reflection Method - SSR
Global Illumination Method - None
NVIDIA Reflex - Enabled + Boost
NVIDIA DLSS - Quality
Depth of Field: Off
Motion Blur: Off
Dont be afraid to turn some things down. I've seen a few people say turning Effects down to Low solved their FPS issues. Give it a shot!

Things During Gameplay You Should Be Aware Of:
  • If you apply an explosive lock to a door that's already received damage from zeds, the health will be incorrectly displayed as full until the door is hit again.
  • If you have a Multitool equipped and you use the Multitool to reactivate a turret (using the gear button from a distance to activate a turret after it was already unlocked), it will cost you a Multitool use! You want to reactivate it for free with E (Default Button) by running up close to it.
Other helpful guides:
Battling the unoptimisation:
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3533867721
This is a guide by user 'fx' I used to combat the lag. I have a 5060 so I'm able to increase some of these settings to High, but I dont recommend all Ultra and definitely not play with Lumen turned on.
I also recommend turning off things like Motion Blur, Hitmarkers, Crosshair. Just to clear things up so you can see where your bullets are landing. I also set my FOV to 95, sometimes 100.

It's important to note that sometimes your settings wont save between sessions and you may have to reapply them whenever you load up the game.

Battling enemies:
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3533358490
Here is a guide by user 'Tiwill' that includes a helpful graph of damage types and zeds, letting you plan ahead for your Class/Weapon builds. Pick a type of zed you have trouble with and gear up efficiently.

Battling crafting:
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3534712663
Here is a guide by user 'Ceaseless' showing what items you can destroy around the map to get more loot for crafting attachments.

As I said earlier in the guide, some of these items can be found OUTSIDE of the map's playable boundaries and some maps have more loot than others.

Battling weapon mod RNG:
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3534670661
This guide put together by user 'Miaoven Winter' details the bonus abilities weapon modifications can give you when you craft a new mod and unlock them by upgrading them to their highest tier. Something worth paying attention to BEFORE you spend the crafting materials upgrading them. I myself keep getting Teammate bonuses but I generally play Solo, so I have to keep recycling them until I get something good, like Deadly Resupply for example.
Thank you for viewing my guide!
You can subscribe to the comments thread below where you and other players can post their findings and I post the occasional Changelog there for this guide so you know if I add any new content.

Other than that, I'd appreciate a thumbs up on the guide if you can spare the click - thanks again and happy zed slaying <3

Get the clip you want to put in-game.
Open "Steam\steamapps\common\Nightfall\Nightfall\Content\Movies"
If you want to replace the main menu it's the 'MenuVideos' folder.
Rename your clip to the same name as one of the files in that folder.
In this case, I think it's MainMenuLoop.mp4 or something like that.
Put your clip in that folder and replace the game's file.

Simple as.

How did you change the videos in the menu? Do you just place as a certain file or rename it like Left 4 Dead 2?

Thank you again @Greed for making the guide even better! I'll edit those in.

Thank you @bad@chaos, ah I was wondering why it would have a pink bow on it, it must have been something, but I would never have guessed! Thanks again!

Changelog prior to these findings:
+ Started another Tips section because I guess I've hit the character limit in the first!
