I tried all the other fixes and none worked for me. I found files that made it work soi decided to share.

Just copy all the files to the main folder of alone in the dark the new nightmare.
Run the game with the .bat file. If the game still has a black screen, run the original Exe file, exit the game, then run the .bat file. you can add the game to steam with non steam game with a trick of change the .bat to .exe then change it back to .bat in the file line. This was the only thing that worked for my game. this file has all the dreamcast files in it and i dont know who to give credit to for the download. but i didnt make it.
