Everything I know so far about the items, spells, craftables, zones, mechanics, etc... I know there is another guide, but the lack of content pissed me off (no offence) so I put everything I could think of in this one

Introduction
Sup, this is the coolest guide containing all the things I (superior archivist wizard) found in this game. Enjoy and send me some reddit karma while you're at it.

This guide may contain inaccuracies due to it being based from my vast experience (like 4 hours). Feel free to enlighten me in the comments if you want to help.
Materials
Description
Materials are ressources used to either craft items or give to the soup guy to get soup/potions that provide somewhat useful effects

List
  • Log
  • Rock
  • Toad

  • Crystal

  • Bounce Mush - When on the ground, can be jumped on for a big bounce
Soups
Description
Soups are consumables that give various effects. They are created by giving a material to the soup man:

Each time you consume a soup, an empty bowl replaces the soup in your inventory. These disappear when you drop them, but they can be traded with the gnomes for extra value.

List
  • Crystal Soup - Provides a small boost in speed and spell power (Stackable)

  • Toad Soup - Periodically extends a frog tongue that makes the player it touches drop his held item (Unknown if Stackable)

  • Log Soup - Heals or overheals for additional health that is gone once it tanks damages (Stackable)

  • Rock Soup - Makes your voice heard from longer distances (Unstackable)

  • Mushroom Soup - Provides a small boost in jump height (Stackable)
Craftables
Description
Craftables are items made by combining two other items. There is a small recipe guide on the crafting table to aid you in your crafting journey

List
  • Toad + Crystal = Dart Gun - Throw darts that invert a player's controls
  • Toad + Toad = Frog Balloon - Removes fall damages, lower gravity a bit and gives a big jump boost

  • Toad + Rock = Frogleather blade - Cool sword

  • Toad + Log = Frog Spear - Swing to make the frog extends his nasty tongue. If it pokes a player, his held item is dropped

  • Toad + Bounce Mush = Spore Frog - Releases a cloud of spore that obscures vision

  • Log + Log = Walking Stick - Boosts movement speed when held

  • Log + Bounce Mush = Fungal Walking Stick - Like the walking stick, but provides an additional boost to your jump

  • Log + Crystal = Levitator - Makes a player target levitate (gravitygun type shii) by left-clicking on them. You can also target yourself by aiming at the ground

  • Bounce Mush + Crystal = Shrink Ray - Temporarily shrinks a player

  • Rock + Rock = Thrumming Stone - When used, creates a big zone around the user that nullifies all spells it touches

  • Rock + Crystal = Golem - Creature immune to magic that, when dropped, follows the one that dropped it and attack its ennemies (by throwing crystal fragments). (Small tip: if you want to make it stop following you, try to grab him with a full inventory, he will fall to his side). (Can be killed with melee weapons I believe)

  • Bounce Mush + Bounce Mush = Mushroom man - Creature that, when dropped, follows the one that dropped it. can be jumped on to give the player a big bounce (Small tip: if you want to make it stop following you, try to grab him with a full inventory, he will fall to his side)

  • Rock + Bounce Mush = Mushroom Swerd - While using, can be collided with a surface to give a bounce in the opposing direction. Can also bounce off other players

  • Rock + Log = Silverseed Bramble - When used, creates a zone of roots where the user looks that hurts moderately when stepped on

  • Crystal + Crystal = The Orb - Can be used to see what an opponent sees (maintain left click to activate)

  • Excalibur Hilt + Excalibur Blade = Excalibur - A sword that kills a player permanently (currently bugged, players do respawn)
Spells
Description
Yeah... say the spell name and you cast it. As you level up, spells become stronger (e.g. the fireball spell has increased area, knockback power and damage) and, for the found spells, gain a reduced cooldown.

Additional infos and stats are courtesy to u/Keeprun on reddit and, as he says it: (may be inaccurate)

Starting Spells
  • Fireball (hotkey : 1) - Throws a slow fireball affected by gravity that explodes when it comes into contact with a surface or target.
    -Damage: 70 - (distance × 10) + (level × 3) (minimum 5)
-Stronger at close range, extra +3 damage per level
-Burns for 8 - distance + level seconds (up to 10 seconds)
-Knockback increases with level and distance
-If you hit yourself, damage is reduced (divided by 1.5)

  • Freeze (hotkey : 2) - Throws a small projectile affected by gravity that damage and freezes a target
    -Damage: 15 + (level × 5)
-Freezes the target in an Ice Box
-The frozen player can break out over time

  • Worm and Hole (hotkey : 3) - A two step spell that summons linked portals for transportation and trickeries. Cannot be used in either bases. Fireballs can go through portals and freeze closes them.

  • Magic Missile (hotkey : 4) - Throws three missiles that deals damage
    -Damage against Player: 10 + (level × 2)
    -Against AI: either fixed 10, or 14 + (level × 2)
-Automatically homes in on the target
    -Disappears after 5 seconds

Found Spells
  • Blink - Teleports a short distance in front of where you look at. Can be used to go through walls and to prevent fall damage by blinking to the ground while falling.

  • Dark Blast - Summons a long ray that deals damage and pierce through targets
    -Fixed 8 damage
    -Burns for 1 second
-Hits in a long narrow box (70 units long, 0.7 units wide)

  • Divine Light - Heals players in a zone
    -No damage
-Heals all nearby players by 50 HP
    -40-unit radius

  • Wisp - Throws a homing light wisp to track opponents. Do a bit of damage (long burn).

  • Thunderbolt - Summons thunder where you look at. Cannot be used when there is a roof since it comes from the sky and it will hit the first thing it come in contact with
    -Damage: 50 - (distance × 5) (minimum 5, maximum 100)
-Deals more damage if you're close to the strike
-Burns the target for 8 - distance seconds
-Can hit 1 to 3 times depending on level

  • Rock - Summons a big boulder that lasts for about 20 secs. (tested at level 1)

Areas
Description
The map (capture the flag mode) of Mage Arena is made of randomly assigned zones in between two base zones, so you may not always see all of these in your games, but they are there. There is a large map and a medium map you can choose. You can open your map by pressing 'q' and see what your current map has to offer and where your teammates are.

Claimable Areas
The claimables area provides countinuous exp and ressources to the team that claims it (except for the bases of course). The exp is countinuous throughout the game and the ressources are sent directly to the front gate of your castle via small goblin carriers. I have seen multiple ressource area of the same type in a map

  • Castles/Bases - It's where the main flag for the team is. As a reminder, you cannot respawn if it is claimed by the other team, so be careful with it. It starts with a chest containing random materials, a crafting table, the soup man and a mirror that can be activated by saying "mirror, mirror" to answer questions with "yes" or "no". There is a gate that can be shut or open which is longer to open from the outside if you are not from the team it comes from. Also, the chest takes longer to open if you are not from the team it comes from.

    Mirror off/on:

  • Crystal Caverns - Caverns that provide crystals and exp

  • Forest Hills - Dried forest with hills that provides logs and exp

  • Frog Bog - Disgusting swamp with one-shoting enemies and difficult terrain (the water slows you and makes it hard to go back to a walkable surface without jump boosts items and such... be careful) that provides toads and exp

  • Mountains - Tall mountains that has strong displacing winds that provides rocks and exp

  • Mushroom Biome - Big hole with mushroom pads to get to the heightened part in the middle that provides bounce mush and exp

Unclaimables Areas
The unclaimables area provides items and interesting encounters

  • Cemetery - Zone with an explorable building in the middle and a knight npc that talks about the two excalibur parts that can be found inside. The mausoleum is a dark multiple room dungeon with each of them being separated by doors. Rooms sometime contains two skeletons, vases you can break for loot and/or braziers that can be activated with your torch for a small light. It sadly contains a roaming skeleton mage that throws a kind of white fireball that deals a lot of damage. The excalibur's material are coded so that they always spawn as far away from eachother as possible, so you may never see them near eachother.

    The two excalibur parts:

    Sleeping skeleton:

  • Magma Castle - Zone where there is a castle surrounded with magma that hurts and burns. can be looted for four chests each located in a different tower of the castle (on each corner of the castle). The chests refills after a short while. The castle also has respawnable (may not be) red wizards that roams inside and attack on sight.

    Map icon:

    Chest:

  • Gnome Forest - Forest zone with a small gnome village in the middle where you can trade with the gnomes (can trade again after a cooldown) any items for random found items or material (I have never seen them give me a craftable item)

    Map icon:

    Gnome:

  • Beach Cave - Weird cave somewhere on the beach (the beach is surrounding the whole map) that has a weirder blood pit in its main chamber. I had a time where there was three red wizards around the pit (only one respawned at a time). I currently have no idea what it does. You can blink inside the well, but this leads you stuck in a black space. Blinking again may lead to you dying due to some "spikes"/"Thorn" hurting. (I have not tested this myself so it may be inaccurate)

Creatures/NPCs
Description
These are all the creatures/npc I believe you can find in this game (except for the soup goat and the goblin in the tutorial). These do not respawn except if told otherwise and they do not seem to drop anything

List
  • Skeleton - Location : Cemetary/Mausoleum [Hostile] (not that dangerous)
This bastard has a lot of sustainability when hit in smaller doses because his limbs can fall and he'll still live. He begins sleeping and follows you after waking up. Can open doors I believe

    Sleeping State:

    Attacking State:

  • The Lich - Location : Cemetary/Mausoleum [Hostile] (dangerous)
This skeleton mage (called him the lich cuz it's cooler) roams the mausoleum. He open and closes doors and begin casting a white fireball at you when it sees you. Dies to like 1 or two fireballs depending on your spell level

The Lich, casting his white fireball thing:

  • Red Wizard - Location : Magma Castle & Beach Cave [Hostile] (kinda dangerous)
Respawnable casters that roam and begins attacking on sight. I've seen them cast fireball, magic missile, freeze and wisp. They die easily, but due to them being able to cast fireball, they are kinda deadly

    The wizard lol:

  • Big Toad - Location : Frog Bog [Hostile] (will one shot if near)
A bit hidden in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ water of the frog bog, they will grab you with their tongue and eat you.. leading to a one shot. You may be saved if someone attacks it before it eats you, but this has yet to be tested (may be inaccurate). You can cause them to go underwater by attacking them I believe

    Toad, hidden in the distance:

  • Gnome - Location : Gnome forest [Neutral]
Fantastical being that can be traded with. Easy to kill. Other gnome will panic if one is killed near them, but they never attack

    Gnome:

  • Knight - Location : Cemetary [Neutral]
You can interact with him to hear about the excalibur. Quickly dies after his lines tho... His design is the inspiration behind the Dark souls series' iconic character: Solaire, I think

    The knight:

  • Gnome Carriers - Location : Everywhere when you have at least one claimed ressource zone [Neutral]
They carry the ressources from the claimed zone to your castle's gate. They drop the ressource they are carrying upon death and vanish. They also vanish when they succesfully deliver a ressource

    Goblin:

  • Ravens - Location : Everywhere [Neutral]
Fly away when you get near... cannot get killed. Decoration type ♥♥♥♥

    Raven:
Other items
Description
Those are the items that can be found in the game other than the craftables and the excalibur parts

List
  • Player's Spellbook - Contains all the basic spells and bound to the player. Can be dropped and traded tho so be careful

  • Torch - Light the area when held... useful since when it's dark, it tends to be hard to see. You can also attack with it and apply a burn to the target I believe
  • Weed of the pipe - Puff smoke that reduces spells cooldown and augment spell level for 15 seconds (may be inaccurate)

As far as I can tell the only things that hit through freeze are thunder bolt, dark blast, and excalibur. Haven't tested with rock yet.

do enemies still take damage when frozen? I swear it feels like fireballs dont hurt them while frozen

BrawurowyBandyta, I don’t think so

Alter ego, closer to the fireball

[txc]SparkStorm, raid the magma castle and/or mausoleum with a walking stick or something to make you go faster as soon as the game starts I guess
[txc]SparkStorm 31 Jul @ 6:11pm
my name is sparkstorm and i must cast thunderbolt, whats the best way for me to get it as often and quickly as possible
alter ego 31 Jul @ 4:02pm
I'm still a bit confused about the "close range" part of the fireball damage.

Does the fireball do extra damage if you are close to the player, or if the player is close to the fireball?
BrawurowyBandyta 31 Jul @ 10:46am
Does the mirror let you talk to the other base? Might be innacurate bc someone could drink the louder voice soup on small map but i was hearing players from the other base
