Introduction and Tips
This guide concludes tips for beginners and People who are unsure how to complete the game for the first few times. It contains spoilers for decisions.

Default automations: Food jobs high, raw-fod yobs medium, resource jobs low, construction high, exploration low. This fits for most occasions.

Important settings: Cap jobs to construction x, Run empty food once x, Low explorations halt x, Always auto-refill, don't override exhausted.

Don't worry about speedrunning. Your first runs will be inefficient. By far. If you complete your game you get perks for your performance. Each of it will boost your completion time. If they grow ineffective you can worry about speedrunning. After 1800 hours I am far away from it.

Enjoy your playthrough. The first one will be a lot about exploring everything. You have the time to explore it all.

Don't skip anything for long. If something optional is too hard, skip it for now, but come back later for it. The intendet gameplay is, that you take everything with you. At the end, there should only be the dropped decisions missing. Especially the health doublers are worth to check frequently if they are completable.

If there is a decision, you can do both paths before you have automated it. Simply click right on an exploration to halt it before completion. After you have automated either decision, you would have to stop it every time to activate both paths. That's not worth it in the most cases.
Quick Walkthrough by decision points
The minepath is more effective than the riverpath in the long run. At chapter 10 they it will be no difference. This is my opinion, see for yourself.

Pack everything in your routine that you can. You need the EXP later. The monastry in chapter 3 has lessons that can be delayed, but for beginners it is safer not to skip them totally. You pay the waiting price anyway. The goat lesson can be delayed until you board a boat, the parrot lesson can be delayed until you have to use your speech, both in chapter 4. This has the benefit that you have more food at hand at the monastry.

At chapter 4, choose emerald, second gem, ruby and small shrine before you take emerald, saphire, ruby and get all gems for the tools.

At chapter 5 you have to choose between bow and shovel. You can swich through the generations which is more needed, but if you want to choose once and then forget it, pick bow. My opinion.

At chapter 6, take the river part before you can conquer the jaguar. Kill the gorilla when you can, propably short after the jaguar after you swapped chapters.

At chapter 7, take the shield until you have nearly no more options for boosting hp at chapter 10, hunt the bull (!) and keep the meat when you don't need it to progress anymore. Till chapter 10 there are occasions when you can use it to boost progress.

At chapter 8, consider swapping chapter 6 and 7 until you make it. For seals: capture seal highest, cook seal and falcon high, capture falcon medium. Walrus highest.

At chapter 10, upper, hut, middle, salad, down, mushrooms --> middle, low, tackle dog and crows up --> low everything, up everything, middle for all tools

At chapter 11, dodge, dodge, dodge to trip, and backshoot to 80, then attack to 80, shoot ceiling and then beehive, shoot at titan as much as you can, train backshoot/attack to 40, make block/counter ready for 20, from then on, only attack till 20, tackle with counter and backshoot until it is over.

Congratulations.
I hope I could help.
