Viper Ning- The OG
Viper Ning is probably the single most annoying character in the game, due to her ultimate granting a long stun time that usually means a death sentence. Despite her ult being rather OP, Viper can be a very, very fragile glass cannon in terms of taking hits and survival.
Survivabilty: C
Damage: Average
Ultimate: A or S
Tips: Don't play Viper unless you have a team who can swoop in during the enemy stun time and destroy them. Be careful during her ultimate: if you're using the one that stuns, she can't attack during her ultimate.
Feria Shen- ROBOTS!
Feria Shen. Giant robot. Not much else to say. Just kidding. Feria Shen is a great support and has good survivablity, though her own damage output can be less than stellar depending on what rarity of weapon you have equipped before activating her ult.
Survival: A
Damage: B
Ultimate: B
Tips: Her first skill is a hotkey for quick escapes. Her second skill can be activated anywhere, and you have about five or so seconds to aim the shot. Her robot can enter cannon mode by right clicking, with more powerful shots- but remember, you can't move during cannon mode.
Tianhai- The (Mostly) Peaceful Monk
I have had very little experience using Tianhai, as he's never appealed to me. From what I've seen, he has excellent survival, and his ult can be very deadly if used right. However, there's a lot of counters to his ult, so beware, especially if there's a rogue Lannie on the loose.
Survival: A or B
Damage: Average
Ultimate: B
Tips: His skill knockbacks nearby enemies and blocks attacks during its duration. His ultimate state can't jump very high, and can be tricky to move around.
Valda Cui- Queen of the Sea
Valda Cui seems pretty basic on first glance, and she might not vibe with you. Despite her basic moveset, she's an overall solid character in all categories.
Survival: A
Damage: Average or A
Ultimate: B to A, depending on which one and how it's used
Tips: Her second skill is hard to aim, so be prepared if it doesn't land in the right spot. Both of her ults are good, but most people use the second ult as it can be more helpful in more scenarios, allowing you to throw multiple water spears that trap or apply soaked to enemies.
Yoto Hime- Dark Magician Girl Cosplayer
Yoto Hime, the Cursed Blade. She was one of my favorite characters to use when I first started out, because her kit was straightfoward and easy to understand. That still stands to this day, and, unlike some other damage-based heroes in the game, Yoto has decent survival ability.
NOTE: In the recent update, Yoto's moveset got a huge change. I haven't used her new ult yet, so it won't be taken into account here.
Survival: A
Damage: A
Ultimate: A or B, can be hit or miss
Tips: Her skill is super helpful. It can blocks all enemy attacks, so don't be afraid to use it liberally. In most cases, pop Yoto's ult when enemies can't move or otherwise can't move, as enemies tend to book it once you pop her ult.
Temulch- Sandman
A character I don't have much experience with, and doesn't seem to be used very often. Overall, decent survivability due to his skills and ult being able to stop enemies in their tracks. His kit, however, doesn't do direct damage, it relies on the player.
Survival: A
Damage: Depends
Ultimate: B, can be helpful in risky situations
Ziping Yin- The OG Healer
I'm going to say it right now: it's true, Kurumi is better than Ziping in terms of healers. But that doesn't mean Ziping is bad. Rather, her kit can be trickier and since it heals less on average, she can be hard to utilize. Her ratings here assume you're an average player and not someone who mains her.
Survival: Average
Damage: Usually, you won't be dealing damage yourself, instead keeping your damage-dealing teammates alive instead.
Ultimate: B to C, it can come in clutch but the healing is often too little or too slow, resulting in death anyway.
Tip: Do a small jump then dodge after casting her skill, and you get an extra dodge that doesn't cost stamina.
Tarka Ji- The Constantly Drunk
This character is a beast. His damage output can be downright terrifying, and if he pops his ult, he becomes harder to hit than a house fly. His only problem is that he is THE glass cannon of glass cannons, so you need to be both careful and aggressive.
Survival: C
Damage: S
Ultimate: A
Tips: He does take some skill. Don't be afraid to try him though!
Matari- Ninja In All But Name
One of my personal mains. Matari excels in mobility, and can snipe people with her skill and ults, throwing off opponents and helping teammates in danger. As her ult turns everyone invisible and restores their health/armor, she is also an excellent support character.
Survival: A
Damage: A
Ult: A
Tips: Snipe people trying to run away with your skill. Remember to hold down the skill button to charge the skill and do more damage. Her ult, if you pop it off in time, counteracts Viper's ult, making it not connect.
Yueshan- Guan Yu Outfit!!
Not much to say about him in my experience with him.
Survival: B, his skill gives him a good survival option.
Damage: B
Ultimate: Can be good, but people tend to book it when you use his ult.
Tips: As mentioned, people tend to run away when you use his ult, so make sure they can't get away easily or are immobilized before using the ult.
Wuchen- 'Erm, Actually'
Wuchen is used in competitive trios for a reason- he's good. In the right hands, he becomes terrifying. With his skill granting him a temporary Mortal Defiance effect and restoring armor, and his ultimates either teleporting teammates away from danger or immobilizing enemies with a stream of spirit blades, Wuchen is scary.
Survival: A
Damage: S due to his spirit blades ultimate
Ultimate: S
Tips: Use the first two of his skill blades to restore armor, then keep the last one. As long as this last one is still out, if you take a fatal blow, you don't die and will restore some health.
Justina Gu- Let It Go
Justina Gu is a support based character, so remember that when you play her. She's perfect for breaking up possibly bad situations, rescuing teammates, and tripping up the enemy.
Survival: A
Damage: Average
Ultimate: A to S. Don't underestimate the power of being able to temporarily freeze opponents and/or increased mobility.
Tips: Most people use her second ult, as it can be cast at 50 percent rage and is easier to use. Her first ult has crazy mobility with her freeze dashes.
Takeda- This Guy Killed Me Too Many Times
A bit of a rare find currently, Takeda isn't to be messed with regardless. I still remember when my whole team got bodied twice by one lone Takeda in ranked trios- in back to back matches, no less. Sometimes, his damage output doesn't cut it, but he can be a good choice if you're willing to spend some time with him.
Survival: B
Damage: A
Ultimate: A, for its huge knockback effect
Tips: His skill can be a panic button if you're low on health and an enemy is about to kill you.
Kurumi- Umbrella Collector
Kuurmi is considered a better healer than Kurumi, due to being easier to use. With her skill, she can revive someone without actually being next to them, helpful if your teammate's remains ar ebeing camped out. Her ult restores armor rapidly, which is usually more important than health.
Survival: A
Damage: Average, you're probably not trying to kill someone. She does have an easier time of dealing damage as she's more self-sustaining than Ziping.
Ultimate: A to S tier.
Tips: While you're using her skill, YOU CANNOT ATTACK, GRAPPLE, etc. Left-click to teleport and knockback nearby enemies, useful to give teammates a break.
Akos Hu- Eye of the Tiger
Akos Hu is definitely a character that takes time to get used to. His all mobility centered kit can be disorienting and tricky for new users. However, he becomes clutch and can be a powerful option once you have experience using him.
Survival: B to A
Damage: C to A, depending on how well you can use him
Ultimate: C to S, again depending on how well you can use him
Tips: PRACTICE. He's not easy.
Zai- Naraka's Sonic.exe Murderer
Zai is a damage dealing powerhouse like her brother, Tarka. She's focused on both mobility and damage, meaning you need to be able to move well to use her well. Like Tarka, Zai is a glass cannon and can be shredded to pieces if you're not careful.
Survival: B, though her dash during her skill can be a lifesaver
Damage: A to S
Ultimate: A to S
Tips: Her second ult, the one that burns enemies when they're hit, is useful for trios and duos. Use her first ult for solo or in situations that you need more recovery effects. Both of her skills are great, though it's easier to control and aim her second skill.
Tessa- Naraka's Diaochan
Tessa is usually not beginner friendly. Her kit is tricky and using her right takes time. However, her disrupting enemies potential makes her a great option as a support, as a less fragile version of Viper Ning.
Survival: B to A
Damage: Average, though her ults hit enemies with good chunks of damage.
Ultimate: C to S, depending on how it's used and skill level
Tips: Her first ult REQUIRES YOU TO AIM at the enemies you want to hit. Her second ult doesn't, as it automatically hits all enemies within range. Her second ult is for trios or duos.
Hadi- I Believe I Can Fly!
I have no experience with Hadi, as I don't have him unlocked and he's a very rare find currently. He seems like he has good potential for being a disruptor, flying around like Lannie and dealing damage.
Shayol Wei- You're Under Arrest!
Based entirely around survival, Shayol is also a powerful asset to help protect your glass cannon damage dealers or weak supports, as her ult makes her impossible to hit and allows her to launch powerful counterattacks.
Survival: S
Damage: A
Ultimate: S, you won't believe how much it comes in handy.
Tips: Due to how her kit is designed, she can be played in solo, duos, or trios without any problem. Her first ult is preferred over the second, as the first allows you to counterattack enemies.
Kylin Zhang- Like A Dragon
Another mobility based character, again a damage-dealer. Like Tarka and Zai, he requires some skill, but is less fragile and can take more hits. He can also play defensively with his ult, and can even use its shield as a guard against shadow corruption sometimes!
Survival: A
Damage: A to S
Ultimate: A, it can be tricky to use but dishes out a lot of damage.
Tips: His Parry skill where he grabs enemies or knocks them back is very useful. Use it as much as you can to trip enemies up and save teammates from sticky situations.
Lyam Liu- Perfect Dwarven Material
A rare find currently. He is a support character, but also a healer to some extent and a damage dealer/disruptor. Think of him as a jack of all trades.
Survival: B to A. His skill can makes enemy counters FAR less punishing and save your skin.
Damage: Average to A
Ultimate: B, while they both disrupt enemies to a great extent, they often fall short of the mark.
Tips: Most people use his second ult.
Cyra- Sunshine and Rainbows!
Cyra is a damage dealer and healer, who can shoot a giant laser beam like some kind of sci-fi character.
Survival: A, her skill allows healing and an extra dodge
Damage: A
Ultimate: B to S, her knockback blasts and constant fire can whittle enemies down very fast. The only problem is that her ult often ends too fast.
Tips: Not really any, you just kind of mess around with her and have fun!
Lannie- Sleepy Head
I main Lannie, so I'm probably more qualified to talk about her than anyone of the other characters. She is based again around mobility and damage, and is an EXCELLENT counter to almost any ultimate, like Tianhai, Feria, Yueshan, Zai, Kylin, Cyra..... anyone who needs to be up close and personal or is huge and easy to hit, Lannie's ult can help demolish.
NOTE: Apparently, Lannie was 'nerfed' in the latest update, but so far, I've seen no change in her damage output and usefulness.
Survival: B. Can be poor if you're not playing her right.
Damage: A
Ultimate: A to S, her ult is clutch and handles any situation with ease.
Tips: Her first ult is the only one I've used. Her second ult has more staggering power, and is better for solos than her first. Her skill can be aimed anywhere, and you can cast it right after a grapple to go even further.
NOTE: Lannie is a 'hit and run' sort of character, you generally don't want her on the frontlines. She's essentially a sub-DPS character.
New Heroes And Notes
At the beginning of August, a new hero called Inor Wan is coming, with a lightning and thunder inspired moveset. We'll also get a new crossover hero added to the game in December/January.

As I play the game more, I'll update this guide as neccessary.

I'm open to any experiences, tips, etc. that you can give me!

Please do NOT start a random ragebait or unrelated post in the comments. There's no reason to.

All of the rankings in this list are PERSONAL rankings, based on how my playing experience was and how I've seen the heroes used elsewhere.

I'm not a pro at this game and have only played for two intensive months, so things may change over time.
