"During a long wait, I decided to try something new. Grabbing a pack of color pencils and some one-sided papers, I challenged myself to draw a rose. It took several attempts to get it right, but I learned a lot in the process!

I was particularly inspired by Sting's 'Desert Rose,' a song I love to sing in karaoke. That desert vibe, paired with the idea of beauty emerging from unexpected places, really influenced this piece.

Unfortunately, my scanner didn't quite capture the subtle soil and sky colors I added, or the airplane I sketched in the background. Still, I'm happy to share the main focus of my efforts. I'd love to hear what you think!"
