Vigilance: Custom Alerts

This is a quick rundown of all the Custom Alerts listed in the Vigilance main quest. Some of the larger, harder quests has their own guide, which I will provide a link to.

Introduction

Vigilance: Custom Alerts is Quest done every week for each character. You perform each of the custom alerts daily quest listed in the requirement 3 times to get the Alerts: Vigilance reward. You can obtain both the Alerts: Vigilance and the Custom Alert's daily quest from LT. Patil, with the exception of Cybermind. You need to do the Cybermind questline from SOCRATE to get this daily. Each of these Custom Alert Daily quest should also reward you with SCR.
Forum Malvanum
In this alert, you're in an arena fighting rounds after rounds against many adversaries until your group is the victor! But before you start, for the love of god, head to the right side of the gate and HIT SKIP. Players value their time and they do not want to stay in an alert for more than +30 min because of the alert's cutscene. If you want to see the cutscene, group up with a few friends that will allow it or watch youtube. If you do not know what it looks like, it that giant symbol on the right.




From here, your group should just go and camp at the spawning area and take out enemies after enemies when they spawn. After the 5th round, a round with three giant Gladiators, this is where you will have to beat each round in a time limit. If the time limit hit zero, the alert ends, but it will count towards your daily quest. That being said, keep on fighting until you hit Round 8.

Round 8, a round where you fight against Duratok and Ironclad. What make this fight fight particularly hard is that both Duratok and Ironclad has Defiance, a giant amount of HP, and you have to beat them within 1 minute and 30 seconds. It is very important that both Duratok and Ironclad should stay close together so the DPS of the team can use their AoE on them. You cannot afford to split them apart and waste precious seconds. Focus on one of the bosses before taking down the other.

Round 9, you're face with an Legendary Tier boss and his/her very tough henchmen. It will randomly pick one of three group:
Black Fang: Dogz
Zoe: Maniac
Purple: Gang
Take out the henchmen as soon as possible and focus on beating down the Legendary Tier boss. The boss has a tremendous amount of HP and you have a very small time limit to defeat it. Your group can easily get a time out if you don't clear the trash mobs in time.

Round 10, you face Firewing himself.
  • Targetable AoE Sphere: The player being target should move away from other players to prevent this aoe from hitting them. Block the blast.
  • Incinerate: Firewing will pick a target and start maintaining a dangerous Incinerate power on that target. If youre not a tank or have a healer healing you, block it.
  • Conflagration : He rain fire at your location. Get out of that spot or block.
  • Giant PBAOE Sphere: He uses Pyre but it can actually destroy anyone if they do not block it.

G.R.A.B. the Money and Run
An extremely short Alert that takes place in the S.S. Bayou Queen. There is a robbery occurring and you need to stop them. The entire ship is fill with Hired Goons and all 51 of them need to be taken out as an objective. Fight each group one at a time so your group won't get overwhelm. Your group will eventually climb upstair, clear a few more hired goon, and fight the member of G.R.A.B.
  • Black Diamond is a Might user that will knock back and use Haymaker. She had Defiance, so taking her down might take a while.
  • Cheshire Cat is a Single Blade user with Lightning Reflexes. Not much to say about him.
  • Hummingbird is a Telepath user that love to use Disorient
  • Bluejay is a Power Armor user that can rip through your group with a Minigun if you're not careful.

Once the G.R.A.B is defeated, head downstairs and grab the reward at the center stage.
Green Dragon
In this alert, you save Red Snake's butt from Green Dragon because he utterly useless. You're really here to save Red Snake's student. You will start out in the enterace of the dojo. When you enter the next room, you're greeted by a group of ninjas at the dry garden room. Dispatch them and head to the next room. The students and ninjas are fighting in the next room, so help out the students. After the first wave of ninjas are dispatch, more will spawn. Keep defeating ninjas until you're able to enter the final room.

In this room, you will see Green Dragon talking smack at Red Snake calling his Martial Art. If your group does nothing and watch, Green Dragon will defeat Red Snake on his own, but this wouldn't cause a failure of the mission. There is nothing special about the fight against Green Dragon as he will just use his giant sword and occasionally summon his ninjas to assist them. After defeating Green Dragon, Red Snake smugly proclaim his Martial Art is better. Grab the reward and leave.
Red Winter

Be sure to get the Daily Quest from the event Vendor, and if able, check with Lt Patil to see if he offers the Alerts: Red Winter is available. You might as well get those SCR on the side. He is found next to Defender in front of the Powerhouse Entrance.

Queue Red Alert. To queue it, just look for the Hammer/Sickle symbol on the Alert Bar, as seen here.



After watching the cutscene, you're task in defeating three bosses and their group in a time limit. Drago has Lightning Reflexes, so taking him down might take a while with all the dodging. White Wolf use a Might set that can knock the player that is aggroing him. He also has Defiance, which make him hard to kill in a prolong fight. Red Dawn use a PA set, but can be taken down relatively fast due to having Invulnerability, which will not help him against your typical DPS player's dps.



Once that done, you're greeted with another cutscene of Soviet Guard, Hammer, and Sickle. They set a timer that they will nuke everything and you have to defeat them within another time limit. This time, you're dealing with 3 bosses with Lightning Reflexes and Defiance. They are not made to kill you, they are build to stall for time. Try to take out one of the bosses out at a time before the time limit expired. Once you're done, you get greeted with another Cutscene follow by a reward circle. Turn in those dailies and get that Single Premium Star and Patriot Store Stars.
Harmon Labs
Right at the start of the alert, you will be in a room full of Commandos and Commanders. They're all munition type enemy that will love to constantly knock you with their grenades. Wipe them out to open up the elevator and take the elevator to the next area. From here, your main objective is to rescue every single scientists in this alert. Each of them are guarded by a team of Commandos and Commanders, so be prepare for many, many knock back from them. At the second to last room of this alert, you will encounter rows of Prototype Power Armor. You only need one of the suit to open up the path to the boss room. The Prototype Power Armor itself is worthless compare to your current build.

You're now facing Warlord. This is a lockout room, so don't recover if you lose. Warlord can be overwhelming in an attrition, so try to take him out as soon as you can. If every single player is defeated in this fight, then Warlord will leave the area and the mission has failed. He will do the following attack:
  • Knockdown Attack: He will hold his cannon arm up for a few second before launching a projectile that will knock back his target. This usually follows by
  • Napalm Shell: He will launch a grenade that will set ablaze at the target's location. This attack will leave a fire patch on a ground that will persist through the entire fight. For the unprepared, this is certain death and the cause of most wipe
  • Flamethrower: He will fire a flamethrower at his target for a set period of time. If you don't have anything to heal or tank it, block this attack.
  • Piercing Rounds: He will fire a few ammo at a target. Extremely weak.
Once this has been complete, congrats and good luck obtaining the elusive DUC.
Red Banner

Be sure to get the Daily Quest from Drifter, and if able, check with Lt Patil to see if he offers the Alerts: Fury of the Dragon is available. You might as well get those SCR on the side. He is found next to Defender in front of the Powerhouse Entrance.

Queue Hi-Pan: Fury of the Dragon. In this mission, all travel powers are disable. If you're defeated, you will be spawned back to the starting point, so try not to die. You and your teammates should be able to defeat every Red Banners group with ease. Knock them off the floating island also count as a defeat. When you enter the final area, a cutscene will play.

From here, your main objective is to defeat Hi-Pan. As long as you're blocking his attack and healing yourself, Hi-pan shouldn't give you or any of your team mate an issue. There is also a time limit, but the time limit is laughable long and you shouldn't run out of time during this fight. The problems comes with two other factor that is happening during the fight.

The first one is the Yin and Yang Circle that periodically spawns underneath a player or Hi-pan. If you or any of the team mates touch the Yang (Black Dot and the Black Half of the circle) part of the circle, you will take decent amount of damage. If you're a Melee character you either stay in the center of the circle or get out of the circle. Try to pull Hi-pan out of the circle if you do have the aggro and if he is on the circle. There is another effect to the Ying and Yang Circle. If a player ran around ahead or on the Ying (White Dot and the White Half of the circle) part of the circle, you will get a buff stack that will increase your damage output, with the max stack of 30 Chi. Try not to kill yourself trying to get this buff since its a long way back from the spawn to this room if you died.
The second factor is the giant celestial dragon that is spiting fireball into the arena. The combination of this and being attack by Hi-pan can overwhelm a DPS player. This can be prevented by hitting the giant gong, which will cause the dragon to stop attacking the players. The dragon will come back and attack, however. Once you're done with the fight, collect the reward and turn all the daily quests.
