[RGON] Stats Leaderboard

Have you ever wanted to see how your stats in the game compare to the rest of the people that also download this mod. Thats what this does. Tab opens the leaderboard and closes it. Use the arrow keys to scroll the leaderboard. (Also works with controller square/x to open and the joystick to scroll the leaderboard)

THIS MOD REQUIRES REPENTOGON TO USE

DISCLAIMER: You gotta do some extra steps to download this mod because Binding of Isaac blocks the ability to make this mod in base lua for safety reasons. This doesn't make the mod unsafe, just more annoying to install.

follow these steps:
1. Download the mod
2. Launch Binding of Isaac normally and check to make sure the mod is installed in the mod menu.
3. Close Binding of Isaac, go to the gear on the right, and browse local files.
4. Go to mods and find stats leaderboard
5. Open the folder and unzip UNZIP ME.zip
6. Drag uploader.exe out of the folder and make sure it is in the base stats leaderboard folder. (you can also now delete the unzip me folder and the zip too.
7. Keep the folder open and go back to the Binding of Isaac library page.
8. Go to the gear again, properties, and look at advanced settings.
9. Copy and paste this command into the advanced launch settings box. (Make sure the file path is surrounded by quotations)

for example, this is what mine looks like:

You grab the file path of the mod by being in the mod folder and clicking at the top where it says stats leaderboard but a little to right. Then you just have to add \uploader.exe onto the end of that.
10. Launch the game and your data should now be uploaded.

Due to limitations with Binding of Isaac (and me being a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ coder), your data is only uploaded and downloaded on game launch. Your data is only downloaded to be uploaded when you go into the stats menu. If your data isn't being uploaded make sure you at least follow these steps in order
1. go into the stats menu on the file you want uploaded
2. relaunch the game
3. check again

If you're having errors with the mod. either screenshot the error and post it to the bug report discussion, or see if you can grab the console before it disappears (the black box that appears). Hopefully no errors happen that would be good.

This mod doesn't auto-update I don't think. If you're having errors launching uploader.exe, check to make sure you are on the latest version of the mod by:
1. uninstalling the mod from the workshop.
2. launching the game.
3. reinstalling the mod and following the steps to download it correctly.
I don't plan on updating the mod if I don't need to since it would be a hassle for everyone to redownload it.

If functionality is ever added to send https requests in lua (either in the base game or with repentogon) I'll remake the mod in base lua so that you don't have to do any of these stupid steps and can just install the mod normally and play.

If you're using Repentence+ with Repentogon (ie using the nightly build) this mod will still work.

PRIVACY CONCERNS: This mod stores no data besides your steam id, steam name, and stats from Binding of Isaac. Your steam id and name are obtained from loginusers.vdf and all stats are from the extra api calls that Repentogon adds. This data is stored on a database on supabase and the full database is downloaded into leaderboardStats.lua every time you launch the game. If you still have concerns for your privacy, I'll put the mod on Github so the source code is available.

That's about it. If you're running into problems, send in the bug report in the discussion and I'll try to help solve it. This mod works best the more people install it because the leaderboard gets bigger. If you ever want your data deleted from the leaderboard, send me a message or post a discussion with your steam id and I'll go in and delete it.
