Introduction
Before reading this guide, i highly recommend doing a blind run first, as exploration is where a lot of the fun in the game comes from

skill Weight (attacking/using an item), and the Weight of your equipment that determines your speed both use the same term "weight" which makes things needlessly confusing, especially when effects start referring to "weight" and you have to figure out which weight it's referring to.

The gameplay is turn-based, but uses a timeline-style battle system called an "action-gauge"

Skill weight determines how far down the timeline you move after performing the action (represented by the red portrait).
Speed determines how fast you return to zero from that position and are able to act again (and is calculated based on your equipment weight and Agility). So it's possible the enemy can still move before you even if theyre further down the timeline, if their speed is high enough. Speed also determines who makes the first move at the start of the battle.
if your speed is fast enough, you can even recover fast enough to attack twice before they can react.

Skills that attack also slowly build up your heat gauge. Once full, you become overheated and your lose your next turn.

To avoid confusion, i will be referring to Skill Weight, as RECOVERY for the remainder of the guide
First Tournament + City expansion
During the first tournament, you will want to spend your first two days doing scavenging work for money.
On day three, buy missiles, instant barrier, and two pieces of scrap to upgrade the missile from the garbage shop. Dont worry about the final missile upgrade piece, it's a reward for winning the first round of the tournament.
The missile is a major help during the first month as the damage is static, and doesn't scale of any stats. its effectiveness will diminish later on however.

After this, a scene will play with Aunt Om, and she will reward you the SP recovery. As long as you agreed to help Negiron, helped Snare, and helped Aunt Om; your karma should be high enough to go to the recycling plant.

After visiting the recycling plant, visit Trustudio's residence and be rewarded with the maid outfit. This outfit is marginally better than the default equipment, so feel free to equip it (don't equip the maid arms or the junk arms however, as the default arms have better Dex, which is what the knife scales with). The Maid headgear is actually really good early game, not for it's actual effect, but because it has an extremely short recovery, so you can quickly refresh your weapon cooldown.

This event opens up the babysitting work activity, doing so will advance Rubs storyline. Make Rub's Storyline your number one priority, as it gets you probably the best piece of equipment in the game, +80 EP, and a new hairstyle, and if you decide to move in with Rub, she will pay all future food fees for the rest of the game. This allows you to buy EP upgrades without suffering the downside, and also saves you a ton of Nem.
However, you won't be able to advance Rubs storyline any further after you get your raise, until after the tournament is over.

After you have enough Memory upgrade points, upgrade your knife with "Double slash". This and the upgraded missile should easily get you through the firs tournament.

Post-Tournament
Once the tournament has concluded, you're able to open the city districts to explore one at a time. The order doesn't matter too much, but make sure to do the residential district last as you'll require the rewards from Rub's storyline to have any chance of beating it.

From here on out, focus on complete the final 3 days of babysitting for the reward. Afterwords, repeatedly visit the match-girl in Boutique station to eventually earn the burner sword and open up her shop. You will be using this weapon for the remainder of the game (don't forget to re-equip Junk arm now, for the added STR)
Build + Strategy
For my build, i went with a tank build that specializes in Heavy fire damage, and fire resistance

With this build, i was easily able to achieve an 80k+ score, and i used the same build for every ending without struggle.
With proper time planning, you can reliably get every single part before the end of the first month, leaving the remaining 2 months for you to do whatever you want.
You should have plenty of weapon slots to spare, so you don't need to worry too much about them.

You'll be able to beat every boss the game has to offer without even coming close to depleting your SP (except maybe for tutorial battles), and still have time to use the "talk" command on everyone in battle.

Weight is exactly 150, so extra -15% dmg taken

Junk armor [Rub's storyline reward]
The MVP of the game. Tons of EP and SP; Mandatory item.
-80 dmg
-20% dmg taken
EP/SP/Str/Dex/Agi +20%

Burner blade [Match Girl's, 2nd meeting]
Capable of insane damage. in some runs i managed to get it over 635 ATK
only 1-turn of cooldown, easy to use. alternate between using it, and using an item with short recovery.
Applies 20% overheat to the opponent, not too useful against minor enemies as they'll die before they overheat anyways, but useful bonus against bosses (except scarlet since she can't overheat)

SP recovery [Acquired automatically after meeting Aunt Om]
At LV3, you can restore 70% of your SP. With the Junk Armor, this Heals you for a TON; Mandatory.
Only 17 recovery.

Safety spikes [randomly appears in Shiina's stall]
Prevents being moved by enemy attacks. unbelievably helpful; Mandatory item.
Additionally provides +10 Agility.
(If for some reason you're unable to get this item, Junk legs work well too, but you'll be missing out on a good amount of DMG from the dragon legs.)

Effect remover [always the 2nd item the TV shopping channel sells]
The actual description is incomplete for some reason.
Removes 1 type of effect, if you have multiple stacks of that effect, it removes ALL of them. Also prevents you from being afflicted by that status effect again for a set time. Very useful.
Only 17 recovery, with up to 3 uses. Doesn't require an action slot

Cooling unit [Match girl's shop]
Removes your Heat, preventing an overheat.
Only 17 recovery, and doesn't require an action slot

Stun Bomb [Supply Location B]
Enemy is stunned on their next turn, good for stalling out enemy buffs

Double Instant [garbage shop]
Reduces damage, up to 2 uses

Fire Helmet [Match girl's shop]
-15 dmg taken
+30 fire dmg
-30% fire dmg taken

Reinforced gas [Match girl, 3rd meeting]
+30% fire dmg

Dragon legs [Dragon's shop]
-40 dmg taken
+30% fire dmg
-30% fire dmg taken
3 MOV

Reinforced Shield [Dice's shop]
-20 dmg take
-20% dmg taken

Junk arms [Acquired automatically after tutorial fight]
High strength, that's about it. Rarely the attack can be useful if the opponent is almost dead and your sword is on cooldown

STRATEGY

The main strategy is to just rush your opponent and attack with the burning sword. For enemies that play at a distance, just corner them. When your sword is on cooldown, use an item like SP recovery, cooling unit, instant barrier, effect remover, or stun bomb; as they have quicker recovery than using the "wait" command. This allows you to continually attack as quickly as possible while providing buffs.

Dont need hover legs, or anything to negate field effects. You can spend a few turns cornering pretty much every opponent in the game (as long as you have safety spikes) while tanking anything they can possibly throw at you, even the ones that play keep-away. The only annoying enemy is Anubis since he has a skill that can move through you, but he also just randomly charges into your range, letting you kill him in 2-3 hits.

Counter to what one of the NPC's says, building an anti-fire build works just fine against Scarlet, despite her having electric attacks too. Her fire attacks only deal 1 hit each now so she avoids using them, and her electric attacks barely scratch my SP. She resists fire, but your attacks are so powerful you can just brute force it.
Shop Info
Dice, Lion, and Match-girl's shop play an event upon first entering, which end the day even if you haven't bought anything. Dragons shop is special and plays an event the first two times you enter. These aren't signposted beforehand for some reason.
Flea market, Shiina, Bookstore, and Smith's shop don't play any events so those are safe.

Make sure to buy as much as you can in one trip, as buying an item ends the day.

Shiinas shop
Must do wharf event at port to unlock
Random items everyday (Don't worry if you miss an item, they will keep showing back up)
bonus item changes every month in this order (Extended EP, Extended weapon slot, gear pack)

Flea market
appears every Monday and Tuesday in Park district

Smiths shop
items get resupplied every month

Tv shop
Every thursday
The first few items (extended weapon slot, then Effect remover) are always the same, but the rest are completely random

Dice's Shop
click on Dice a few times and she will give you a discount
Additional Info
Memory Locations:
Supply location A- Gun and combo gloves
Supply location B- Stun bomb and gear parts
Supply location C- Rifle and Sniper goggles
(You do not need to visit prior supply locations to visit later ones. You can also unlock Weapon slots through the memory upgrades. Careful not to accidentally lower your karma)

Suit TV:
plays every Wednesday, at the waste area

sometimes the waste area list gets so big, you need to scroll to show the rest of the areas.

No matter the battle, you are always able to lose and continue the story if you choose "keep going" option, and even be given new dialogue. There are no mandatory win battles, and you can even continue even if you don't meet the rank requirements for a tournament.

Use the "Talk" command, it can give you Wise, memory, or increases their bond. Sometimes it gives the enemy a buff/debuff as well

Beating the game once will unlock an additional difficulty, allowing for manual saving.
You can have multiple manual-save games going at the same time, but you can only 'overwrite' your saves. So you can't create multiple saves points in one run

When living with Rub, Even Suzuran's food is free

It's better to select skills with your mouse wheel while keeping your mouse pointer on the top view in combat, where you decide where to move. otherwise it feels a little clunky.

To acquire Emma's scissors, simply visit her shop after she introduces herself, then visit her shop immediately after defeating her (but before defeating Aurora).

If you use the (complete) maid outfit during Emma's fight, she will refrain from using her stronger attacks. She is already pretty easy without this, but still cute nonetheless

Despite the security robot looking for a "suspicious robot", he's not actually involved in Mamo's event despite her title being "suspicious robots". He's only involved in Bestra's storyline, but she's not the robot he's after as her ship hasn't crash-landed yet (unless you went out of your way to trigger the event early)

You don't need to visit the Arena, as you'll have plenty of upgrade points, and will more than qualify for the tournaments without it.

You can differentiate between robots and humans by their eyes.

When viewing endings in the gallery, Evens default disguise name will be "Thin"

It's possible to have a Cat, Ghost, Ninja, Yandere housemaid, and roommate (Rub, Bestra, etc) all in your room at once. Their positions change depending on who you're rooming with.

Your character uses a mix of Agility and equipment Weight to determine speed, which makes figuring out a leg-parts effectiveness more complicated than it should be. I also don't believe the exact formula is ever mentioned in-game either.
So Just because a set of legs is heavier, that doesn't mean it's slower than a lighter pair, as heavier legs also usually have higher Agility, and the opposite can also be true.

there are two types of damage modifiers: +X / -X , and +X% / -X%.
for the most part, percentage modifiers are better

Can see Amaryllis's ex in the background during your 2nd fight in her home

It's probably possible to beat the game using only the default gear by upgrading them using your memory upgrades; but i haven't tried it. Other than that, memory upgrades don't have much use outside of supply locations and the extra weapon slot

The Artbook is actually an additional launch option when you boot the game, and you get a new home menu with new animations, descriptions for all the characters, and even a custom battle mode where you can change your equipment and choose your opponent. Highly recommend it

Overworld confusion
The games overworld can be very inconsistent and confusing at times.
When highlighting over an area, it will usually show you portraits of the characters who will appear. -If there is a queue of people who can show up, then most of the time they will show up along side other characters, but sometimes this just isn't the case, and i don't know why.
For example, both Amaryllis and Mirrel can be encountered in the plaza after doing Crum's event there; but their portraits don't show up, and are hidden, and only the portraits for Crum's event are shown. The same is true for Suzuran street event before doing the street event that introduces you to the candy shop owner
-Queued portraits also don't seem to happen in any consistent order either. Both Amaryllis and Mirrel are queued up at the same, but in some runs Mirrel's event happened first, while Amaryllis event happened first on other runs.
-Some event will also temporarily override other events. During Smiths robot hunting event for example, he will eventually make his way to the plaza (where Crum and subsequently Mirrel/Amaryllis is). This will end up hiding the Crum event and his portrait won't reappear until after clearing the Smith event. This isn't because it's a new event either, as the Amaryllis plaza event occurs after the Crum plaza event, but the Amaryllis event is the one to get hidden, despite being newer.
-There are also pre-requisite events, but these are pretty easy to figure out and are mostly self-explanatory. For example, the scrapper event is a pre-requisite for finishing the Basil event; and the Nigreign event is a pre-requisite for finishing the Dice event

These little quirks with the map system make it more difficult than it should be to finish some stroylines. Especially in the plaza area of the park district for some reason. There's a lot of events that happen there
Alternate Endings Guide
You can achieve multiple ending in one run. You do not need to beat Scarlet in order to unlock most of the endings.
The endings not mentioned here are pretty self explanatory and don't need me explaining them

This is when the odd overworld issues start to become apparent.

Bestra's ending
Must acquire at least three of the four ship parts after meeting her in Waste area
-Machine shield: should find after scavenging 2-3 times
-Solid fuel: sold by match girl
-other item: sold at Shiinas shop at random
-Pillow: sold randomly on TV shopping channel on thursdays, after starting the Bestra storyline

After agreeing to help her with her ship, you will need to meet the security robot twice more. The first time is in the garbage street, if you haven't unlocked Emma's shop yet, then you must do that event first to trigger this one. The 2nd one is at the hill of scrap iron. If you haven't dug up the ninja there yet, you'll have to do the first too before you can trigger this one.

Once you have completed her storyline, you get the option to go back to her planet with her, but you can't if you are already living with someone.
You will still get the ending, even if you don't go with her

(you can also see her crash-land if you go to scraphill before you fight her in the tournament)

Amaryllis ending
The Hints for Amaryllis ending is incorrect.
"Defeat Amaryllis with MarkeTV" should be "Defeat Amaryllis IN markeTV"
i assume the translator thought it was an item

You also do not need to befriend Suzuran a lot, like it says. i finished it without doing the infiltration mission at all.

Once you Beat Amaryllis in the tournament, she will stalk you in a battle the next day. If your wise is high enough, you can skip the fight.
Afterwards, you can find her in the Plaza of the park district. If you don't see her there, then finish Crum's event first

After completing her event, she becomes your housemaid

Sumire Ending
Meet up with Sumire in the childrens park in the residential district.
After meeting up enough, you will find a cat, you have to choose to take care of the cat.
After continuing to meet up, Crum will ask to buy the cat off you, refuse this option.

To continue Sumire's story after this, you must advance Crum's story as well, as it is tied into her story. Either complete Crum's event in the plaza, or if you've visited the lighthouse and met Anni, you will get a different Crum event back at the childrens park. you can only do one of these Crum events before his butler changes models, which triggers the continuation of Sumires story.

After this continue following her storyline through school, meet the ghost girl, and continue Sumire's storyline until she goes missing. She was kidnapped by a teacher at her school, rescue her with the ghost and crew.

After she is saved and everything is saved, meet back up with Sumire. An option will pop up to move-in with Sumire. You can't move in if you're already living with someone.
You don't actually need to move-in to unlock the ending

Zizic Ending
to start this event, you will first need to acquire the guitar. to do so, do the garbage dump events, until you are tasked with beating scrapper, and you will be rewarded the guitar.
After meeting back up with Grail, you will be given the option to play you guitar as 'work' activity

Do so for a while, until Grail mentions getting more members. At this point, you will want to find Zizic at the Plaza area in the park district. Continue doing band work and checking the map for events

This will unlock both Zizic AND Grails unison skills

Basil Ending
Help Basil deliver pizza in the residential neighborhood. Continue her storyline until you are able to get a job at the pizza place

Once events stop popping up, you must go to the waste area, and do the garbage dump events (the same ones you do to get the guitar). Doing so will start a new Scrapper storyline, and he will eventually join as an employee at the pizza place

continue the storyline until you meet up at the university. She will discover her crush has a girlfriend and get depressed. continue working your shifts at the pizza place.

When you and your coworker meet up at her house, you must confess your love with her to break her out of her depression and clear the storyline

(fun tidbit, but choosing the "im in love with him too" option at the university brings up another option to confess to Basil early. this doesnt change the plot in anyway though. also not sure why the option says that, as EVEN actually says "im in love too" which makes more sense. mistranslation maybe?)

Mirrel Ending
To start, find Mirrel at the Plaza area in the park district. Crum and butler might be there too, hiding the option, so do that event first if you haven't already
Continue spending the day at the plaza to continue the story, until you are presented with the choice of joining Mirrel as an idol, choose that option

After entering the idol agency, you be able to do 'work' as an idol now. Continue working as an idol to advance the story. At one point you will be gated out, and need at least 2,000 fans to proceed, but this is very easy to do by just joining tournaments. A few more idol gigs and the storyline will conclude

Idol money scales off the size of your fanbase i believe, which leads to insane profits in the final month. upwards of 10k+ nem each time

Mamo Ending
To start the Mamo storyline, purchase an evil book from the bookstore. after acquiring max evil karma, an event will play. when asked if you would like to see her shady business, accept it

When asked to join her shady business, REFUSE
When asked again to join her shady business, REFUSE again

After this, her Storyline will open up. To continue, you need do the garbage street event to be introduced to Emma's shop (if you haven't already), then continue along with Emma's event.

after a while, you will get the option to open up a teddy bear stand. work this for a while until the storyline continues

this will unlock both Mamo AND Emma's Unison skill

(while refusing the job is how you get the ending, i highly recommend joining her on a different playthrough, as it's an entirely separate full-length event)

Hakumu Ending
Complete Suzuran storyline. To do so, you need a certain amount of evil karma. A quick stop to the bookstore can give you max evil karma, or if you're only a little off, there are negative karma upgrades in the memory recovery.

when the option to hire Suzuran pops up, choose that option. She now helps you whenever you choose "work", as well as increases the success rate. However, food price doubles

Complete Hakumu's storline. If you can't find her after the port area, you need to do the STREETS event in the residential area. her storyline concludes at the high tower bar, don't worry about her unison skill, as it unlocks during the Scarlet fight
Alternate Endings Guide (cont.)

Pretty self explanatory. Must have a minimum of "Good+" karma to start.
After a while of doing police work, Lade will start to suspect there's a traitor in the police department.
Once this scene plays, go to the commercial district and speak to Dice in the parts market, and she will give you a tip off. Afterwards, just follow the storyline like normal.

Smith Ending
On Oct 19th, join the optional tournament. After winning, Smith will ask if you can help him out. After you accept, Go to his lab in the commercial area and you will be given a special arm. Equip this arm, and win the following match in the next tournament.
After winning with the item equipped, a short scene will play afterwards and Smith will congratulate you. Go back to his lab and you will be given another item, spider legs this time. Win the next match of the tournament with these legs equipped, and after the rest of the tournament is over, Smith will congratulate you again.
Go to his lab again, and be given a chest piece this time. Do the same thing of having it equipped during your next match in the following tournament.
Finally, you will be given your final item, a weapon this time. On Nov 8th, the tournament will be interrupted by a mysterious robot. defeat him (you don't have to beat him with Smith's weapon, but you DO need to use it at least once), and then visit him once again and he will explain that there's a bounty on the robots head.
Finally, on the next tournament, the MarketV tournament, enter with the weapon equipped again and win the match (again, you need to use it at least once), then the final scene will play afterwards.

After this, smith's 2nd storyline will begin. It is pretty self explanatory, with you chasing around the mysterious robot around the map. You no longer need to use any of Smith's weapons from here on out.

After capturing the robot, he will become a spear for you to use. During the final fight against the commander, you need to have him equipped when you defeat him. You don't actually need to use the weapon this time, just having it equipped is enough.

(You do NOT need to have all the items equipped at once. for example, once you gain the spider legs, you no longer need to use the arm in the future battles)

Machine Ending / True ending
Complete 3 of these questlines:
-Warehouse at port
-Dice's storyline
-Police storyline
-Smith's 2nd storyline (the one where he captures the robot)
-Suzuna

After completing each one, you should see a blue question mark appear at the park area. Repeat this 2 more times, and you will be locked down the true ending path after beating Scarlet

if you are having trouble getting her to appear, try doing Dice's, the police, and the warehouse storylines, as those are the ones i did to achieve it. There are probably other storylines that count, but these are the ones i can confirm
Other Achievements
Many a little makes a mickle
Donate to the garbage shops tip jar 10 times in one run

Jackpot
Buy the bunny suit from Emma's shop, equip it, and use its jackpot attack until you get "777"

Shopaholic
Buy every item that appears on the TV shopping channel (every Thursday)

Repair Memory
Either fully repair Memory, or enter "Even" as your name when starting.
This will give you full upgraded default equipment, but you won't be able to beat scarlet

Be careful not to overdrink
Drink granium liquid 5 times in one battle
Yuri Scenes
  • When Nigreign requests you to help him with Dice, you can ask her Dice what she likes. She says, "you" and this starts a misunderstanding with Nigreign thinking that you two are a couple
  • When Bestra is being interrogated by the waste area security, you can claim to be her lover. This flusters Bestra, and before heading out she says you can start off as friends
  • In Basil's ending, you can oonfess your love to her, and ask her out. She then breaks out of her depression and states that she's decided to marry you. In her ending story, Dr.Wake even refers to her as your girlfriend
  • Zizic, in Basil's storyline says "i think two girls or a human and a robot can be together, but..."
  • Amaryllis entire storyline is dedicated to being in love with Even
  • Mirrel and Mirrela compete with Berry and Grape during their storyline, fighting over who loves their sister more. Berry chimes in saying "i love my sister so much, i could marry her", with Mirrela following along with "we can get married too yknow" and "Mirrel, i love you! Please marry me". Berry then follows that up with "Big sis i love you, please marry me"
  • Machina says "i love you", but it's probably in a platonic way, as her ending has her become your sister while you travel the world together
  • Emma gets excited seeing Machina dressed in her bunny outfit, and starts panting while calling her sexy
Character Unisons
When finishing certain characters storylines, your bond will deepen and you will receive a passive buff for the rest of the run called a "unison skill". Not every character has a unison circuit, and even fewer have a unison skill.
Some character only reveal their unison skill during the final match, so don't worry if you haven't unlocked it yet.

Anni doesn't appear to have a unison circuit for some reason, despite having an overworld portrait, and a Storyline.
Eyes and Rouge have separate unison circuits.

(i probably should've made a table for this graph, but that's a lot of work)
