Resources, what are they good for and why do I need them?
Too often I see people ignoring valuable crafting mats, probably unaware of what they are supposed to look like or what to do in order to acquire them. All upgrades in this game need some sort of resource in order to unlock or craft. This guide aims to precisely show you how and where to get each one.
GATS

How you gets: Do stuff. Shoot stuff. Do missions. Come on guys this one is easy.
ROMPHUS

How you gets: On Titan City or Gravity Farms maps. Occasionally you'll find enemies with these red plant stalks growing out of them.

(It's on the flying dingus near the center of my screen.)

Break the part the resource is growing on to make the resource drop.
GUSSULA

How you gets: On Flourishing Desert and Gravity Farms maps. Be on the lookout for orange spherical virus looking plants.

Once located proceed to give em a good whack (default melee key is V) and watch em grow. They go up a little bit off the ground on a stalk.

For a short time after they grow you will have an empowered jump that lets you reach them for another solid smack to make the resource drop.
BEEZIA

How you gets: On Flourishing Desert and Moldy Tundra maps. Look for small hexagonal blue container.

Press E on them. You'll be thrown into a very simple minigame in order to unlock the container. Once the minigame is complete the resource will drop.

Here's the various minigames I've found and how to complete them.

Just click the red part. Easiest "puzzle."

An evolution of the last one. Just click each red part to turn them all green.

Hold A or D in order to spin the red part so it matches with the white notch in the center circle.
YEUCO

How you gets: On Titan City and Moldy Tundra maps. Look for these radioactive piss colored balls. These are bombs.

Hold E a little bit to pick them up.

They have a relatively small blast radius but do your best to throw them at groups of enemies for more value. Once thrown the cores of the enemies will start dripping in radioactive piss. That's your queue to start blasting.

Once the core is destroyed the resource will drop.
SAXONITE

How you gets: You're not gonna find this one on any particular map. Instead it's an RNG reward for completing any mission starting on Threat level 2. Here's a handy chart:

Threat 2 → 3%
Threat 3 → 10%
Threat 4 → 25%
Threat 5 → 50%
Threat 6 → 60%

You can also acquire it from special objectives like the Fungal Analysis community goal.
Thanks for reading!
Final notes:

You don't actually have to collect resources or even mods that drop. Anything you don't pick up will be in a little lost mission loot dispenser. Just look for the colored question mark near the drop pod in the HUB. In addition to this the moment they are dropped on the map you can leave and you'll still get the resources added to your dispenser. This might be an oversight as it makes farming the three non-mobile resources quite easy. (And the one mobile, ROMPHUS, is just gotten from killing stuff.)

What's also bit odd to me is that every character has a unique voice line to call out GUSSULA, BEEZIA, and YEUCO bombs. But if you don't need to pick these things up then why do I have to automatically call it out to my team every single time? YEUCO bombs make a bit of sense as your team can help destroy the piss covered enemies but still. Minor gripe. I love this game. I'm excited to see where it grows.

Get out there and collect all them fancy resources for all those cool unlocks!

That's a Self-Replicating Blob. Complete the Ground Zero mission to earn one. You can only do it once a week though.

This was helpful.

@Zealous re: oysters

I actually encountered an Atlas Oyster once on a map, it was like my third game. It's an oyster shell sticking out of the ground and you press use (e) to activate. Then out pops the atlas oyster pickup.

You get oysters from dismantling skins

There is also a purple rarity consumable called Atlas Oysters (there is a poster of them in Roachard's room). You can feed them to Roachard to get skins. IDK why they dropped

I think this is actually brilliant design. You immediately know what that person all by themselves is doing usually. Or, maybe in a previous build you had to pick up everything manually and they realized that SUCKED.

I did not know those existed. Once I have them for myself I'll add it to this guide. (And probably spoiler tag that section.)

There is another resource specifically for unlocking oddity rarity upgrades (5 tier upgrades)
it's just drops randomly very very rarely
