Beginner's Marketplace Guide [how to make Corite]
By kumo
Explains how to get started with making Corite and how the marketplace and the various currencies works. Every new player should be able to get around 3000-5000+ Corite at the end, depending on luck and server. Written by someone playing on NA.

Basics
Corite (yellow) is the main currency of the game and the only currency that's used on the marketplace. The only way that Corite is obtained is with real-money or through the marketplace. In this guide, I will share ways that you can make Corite as a F2P or Battlepass player. By the end of this guide, you should have made at least 3000-5000+ Corite depending on your luck as a new player!

I'm writing this guide because at least in NA, you can make enough money as a casual player to where you can reasonably make a good amount of premium currency, and I don't think this game deserves the hate its getting on Steam. Please spread the knowledge, leave positive review for the game, and let's keep this fun mecha game alive!!

First we'll go through some marketplace basics
  • Search is case-sensitive! You don't need to search for the full name either. Partial names are fine.
  • There are two tabs: Sale and Auction. Make sure you are paying attention to the SALE price to get the general idea of how much something *really* costs. I'm going to refer this as the "Buy Now" price. The AUCTION prices are not reflective of the real price since people usually bid on items that are about to expire! I recommend selling most items under Sale instead of Auction as most people would prefer to pay for something immediately rather than wait for Auction expiration.
  • Search only displays the first 20 pages of results! Sometimes, this means that someone searching for something to purchase, like purple Corite Ore, can only see the 20 cheapest items! Since everyone lists them at minimum price, if you want to actually have a chance at selling Corite Ore, you need to list them 1 at a time, or at most 2 at a time.
  • Mission Tokens. Mission Tokens earned from playing the game normally, and can also be purchased from Corite with a conversion of 100 Tokens per 40 Corite ratio at the moment. They can also be converted to Corite by purchasing things from the Matrix Selections and selling them on the Marketplace.
Your First 2000 Corite
EVERY PLAYER can do this and easily end up with 2000-3000 Corite on NA currently.

Supply Crates: Your first priority is to buy out the 30 Supply Crates from Matrix Selections. These are currently selling for 80-90 Corite each, but would sell at 60 Corite at a minimum. This will net you around 1710-2565 Corite. Tip: People are willing to pay slightly more to buy these in Bulk.

The fastest way to earn mission tokens is to do the Missions in Operation Verge. You can complete up to 6 missions per week.

If you already opened them, that's okay! You can check out the "Making Corite from Mashmak" section.
Making Corite from Seasonal Cosmetics
Once you've got your starter money, you can flip your seasonal cosmetics in the shop. Every player gets their own shop every week, and the limited nature of this means that you can sell most of these items for a profit, especially outfits like Mechanic and Athlete.

You cannot sell anything in the STYLES tab! Only in the OUTFIT.

Currently, Mechanic is selling for 3000-4000 Corite, and Athlete is selling for 5000-6000 Corite! But you can buy these outfits for only 1000-1400 Corite.

Even if you aren't lucky with the outfits, you can sell most things at a profit! Just make sure to double check.

After doing this, you should have a healthy amount of Corite to buy some mods, Mashmak weapons etc. Just make sure to keep *at least* 1400 Corite so you can take advantage of this shop every week!
Making Corite from Mashmak
Here is what I've found sells, don't bother auctioning anything unless it's like a top-tier mod:
  • Supply Crates. These sell like hotcakes right now for 80-90 Corite. They can sell for higher if you sell them in a bundle. People like to buy a bunch of them at a time to gamble. You can also try to gamble for a 40k Welkin Battleaxe Skin!
  • Gold Corite Ore. There are a few listed for minimum price (80 Corite), but you can probably get away with selling them for slightly higher. Purple Corite Ore also can sell, but be sure to list them either 1 or at most 2 at a time because of the 20 page search result limit.
  • Gold Mod Boxes. These sell for 300 each. You can try to gamble them, but I don't think the odds are worth it.
  • Weapons. You can only sell Purple+ rarity weapons. Most weapons don't sell, but there are some popular ones that do, experiment with it! Beam Autocannons are the most popular weapon and I can guarantee these will sell.
  • Paints. I personally don't pick these up, but you can pop open the boxes and look for good paints that people want. The rarity of a paint will be tied to the Paint Quality. You can filter for this on the market and check out what people are selling. Paints have RNG with how smooth, shiny, weathered they are. Paints with 100 quality can sell for like 8000 Corite, and paints with 90+ quality can sell for like 2000-4000 Corite.
  • Good Mods. You might be able to sell purple mods to someone looking to buy if they have desireable stats. Think of what people would want on their mecha: Max EN, max HP, max FA, lock-on range, lock-on speed, etc. Something to note is that mods have RNG so a purple Max EN mod might be from 7%-9% for instance. A mod with 8.5-9.0% in this case would have a higher chance of selling. You can filter in the marketplace to search for specific stats.
You can also up-cycle 10 crappy purple mods into random gold mods by spending 3000 Matrix Credits (blue). The menu is in Operation Storm -> Mods -> Mod Assembly.
  • Best-in-slot Mods. If you manage to find a gold mod that has a high roll on a desired stat, you can probably auction it off because this is the best you can get atm. For instance, an 11% lock-on range mod.
Advanced Tips
This game needs whales and people spending real money to keep the marketplace healthy and servers running. We're fortunate in NA that there's enough people doing that where you can get by as an F2P/Battlepass. These people will only play the game if there's other people to play it with, so please spread the knowledge, leave positive reviews, and let's help keep this fun mecha game alive!

Here's some more marketplace tips:
  • DONT FLOOD THE MARKETPLACE. Prices are determined by Supply and Demand. For outfits, skins - there's not a whole lot of people buying it in one day. If you decide to unload a ton of something at one time, it's going to drive the price down. Try unloading them 1-2 at a time to avoid this.
  • Hold down the button to adjust price. When you click the left/right arrows to adjust the price, you can hold it down and it'll be much faster to get the exact price you want.
  • Marketplace fee is 5%. This money is paid out of the seller's pocket after the item is sold.
  • You can mail items to other players. It costs around 18% of the minimum selling price of the item. You cannot mail anything that's not tradeable. Some tradeable items are also not mailable, like Purple weapons.
  • Don’t waste time bidding on items that have a high expiration time. Someone else will just outbid you anyway, and it ties up your money cause you can’t cancel a bid.
  • Mission Tokens are worth Corite! You can buy skins in the Matrix Selections and sell them on the marketplace. These will become worth less and less as more people buy them and try to sell. The conversion rate from Mission Token to Corite is 100:40. Meaning an 18000 Mission Token skin is worth at least 7800 Corite, or that you can spend 7800 Corite to purchase 18000 Mission Tokens.
  • You can list styles on the marketplace, but it costs 200 Corite to publish a style!. Seasun takes a 20% cut of any sales on the style. Be warned that because there's so many people doing this, no one is looking past the first couple of pages. Players can also not edit the styles unless they own the piece, but this lets people who don't have the hairstyle in their marketplace also use them.

Unfortunately on EU the only thing I've ever sold is paint lol for a total of 30 corite.
