Beginners Tips & Tricks
Resource Management

1. Utilize Cardboard Boxes:

Since backpack space in Doloc Town is limited by item slots rather than weight, and early-game slots are scarce, it's highly recommended to use cardboard boxes for storage while traveling.

Each cardboard box can store up to 5 items.

Store non-consumable but readily obtainable items like wood, stone, and fibers. This frees up backpack space while still allowing you to craft directly from materials stored in your boxes at anytime.

Ways To Make Profit

1. Early Game Income: If you're short on money early on, consider becoming a scrap collector or fisherman. Fishing in Doloc Town requires no bait, and scrap piles are abundant, often yielding useful materials.

2. Seasonal Selling: Goods prices tend to increase during the dry season when growing crops becomes difficult. Therefore, it's wise to hoard items and sell them in April for maximum profit.

Farming Tips

1. Strategic Tree Planting: Tree seeds can be planted anywhere, even outside your farm. Plant them wisely around your farm to ensure a constant, nearby supply of wood.

2. Efficient Harvesting: Use a sickle to harvest multiple crops simultaneously, as long as they are within the sickle's range.

Adventure Tips

1. Water Sources: Fill empty watering cans and plastic bottles at ponds found in the wild. Drinking from a filled water bottle restores health.

2. Hive Structures: Did you know that the below structures in the wild can be destroyed? Destroy the hive-like structures found in the wild using time bombs to receive valuable rewards.

Out of all tools to upgrade, the pickaxe is the easiest first choice. There are simply too many things you'll need it a better pickaxe for. Bigger junk piles is definitely a good reason, but ore is the more important one. You're going to need a lot of it, and having a better pickaxe means getting more of it faster. Advanced farming equipment and other important things ultimately need iron ore for one reason or another.

There are several important permanent upgrades available to buy at the beginning of the game; Increased inventory space through Hult, upgraded tools through Merlin and expanded farm space through Mody. Extra inventory space should be the top priority - Cardboard boxes are nice but they can only get you so far. The last 10 slots of extra inventory space is a bit expensive for the early game so you can hold off on it for a bit if needed. Expanding your farm is expensive, but worth it, even if its a lower priority. If you're happy with the amount of space you have, then that's fine. But it'll feel too cramped eventually. More space equals more storage, more crops, more buildings...you get the idea.

Got some more tips for you!

Don't forget to check in with Licca every Sunday! The food items and early access to crops you can't grow yet are nice. But arguably the most important thing is that you can buy extra seeds through her since Villain closes up shop the same day.

Turning things into Sacco is a good idea. You get some money for each one turned in and having extra info is always appreciated. Crops that can be harvested more than once benefit from this the most; telling you how many times you can harvest them total and the number of days in-between each harvest.

The hives can also be destroyed with the copper pickaxe.

Oh, here's a tip! Containers that have items in them can be picked up and stored away, but you can't stack them with the same container that's empty. Those will have a number in the bottom corner.
