Notice how there usually is a jar of jam or stick of butter near by when you start your epic quest to get toasted? It isn't JUST for bonus points in nommability, but they are ment to help you get to your destination!

Make sure to cover your toast with one full side of butter. Sure it may grant you bonus points, but it also helps you move faster! When your butter side is down, it acts as a lubricant, making your bread slide across the surface. But not just tables, but walls too! It helps when you're spinning your way across a long wall to get to that symbol of toasted divinity.

Jam too has its function in I am Bread. Not only does it make your lovely slice of toast sweet and delicious, but that jam is very sticky! Imagine, if you will, you're using your butter side to spin your way to victory when suddenly that darn GRIP meter is about to run out. Oh no! What do we do!? *splat* Just have your jam covered side quickly flip over so it is now against the wall and "tada" you'll stick! That'll let you regain your grip quickly and still remain on your path to victory instead of landing butter side down on the floor. MAKE SURE you are holding in the direction of the wall or your little buddy will hop off instead of pressing himself to the wall. Remember to flip to the other side after you regain your strength to continue your way to whatever warmth your bread seeks. Whereas the jam can be a life saver, it is extremely sticky. You'll find that you won't be able to move well or even spin on the wall with the sweetness holding you in place.
