Ursus
Bears. Need I say more?

Two main saddles, Ursus saddle and Greater Ursus saddle. All bears can be told to sit in their radial wheel for increased healing. Ursus Saddle is used for Panda and Black Bear. Greater for Grizzly and Polar.

Ursus americanus (American Black Bear)
- Spawning: Beaches, Jungles, Redwoods, Sunken Forest, Sanctuary City
- Tameable: Passive
- Taming food: honey, raw mutton. (Same as direbear)

Skittish, will run away if players or their tames approach. Will attack if attacked first, but will prioritize fleeing when below 75% HP. An excellent early-game mount and harvesting companion.
- Fiber, berries, honey, thatch and vegetables only weigh 10% of its weight in their inventory.
- Veggies and Honey get extra preservation in inventory.
- wood weighs 75% in inventory
- Stone weighs 80% in inventory.
- When ridden, gives immunity to bees
- Left click bite. Harvests corpses, fiber, honey.
- Right click claw attack. Knocks down trees for thatch and wood. Can also pick up hand-harvestable resources like palm fronds, pearls, etc.
- C key aesthetic roar.

Kretzoiarctos (Extinct Panda relative)
- Spawning: Jungles, Sunken Forest.
- Tameable: Passive
- Taming Food: Raw Bamboo.

Rare jungle dwellers crucial for buffing herbivores. Tames off Raw Bamboo, which is grown from the Bamboo crop (not dried bamboo).

- Drastically reduces the weight of wood in inventory.
- Left click bite. Same damagetype as thorny dragon, harvesting wood.
- Right click claw attack. Same base damage, and effects, as Black bear's.
- C key aesthetic roar.
- When attacked in the wild, nearby herbivores will rush to its aid.
- when tamed, whenever it is attacked, nearby allied herbivores get a temporary 25% melee and speed bonus.


Ursus arctos horibilis (Grizzly Bear)
- Spawning: Redwoods, Sunken Forest, Snow Regions, Tundra Biodome, Center Tundra Grasslands.
- Tameable: Tranq
- Taming food: raw mutton, raw prime fish meat, honey (direbear taming + prime fish)

Dangerous and powerful bears an upgrade to Direbears, meant to be combat-oriented. Whether it's something their size or larger, they can deal surprising amounts of damage and command immediate presence.

- Can sprint-swim
- Uses no stamina when running
- Left click bite. harvests berries, fiber, corpses, etc. When harvesting a corpse, grants an argent-styled HP regen buff.
- Right click: Rearing slash that hits twice for high base damage. Targets larger than 425 drag weight receive the trike stun debuff. Targets smaller than that receive the Broken Bones buff.
- C key: Fear Roar. Rears up on its back legs to give off an intimidating roar to anything 600 drag weight or less, inflicting them with Mammoth intimidation.
- "Ursine Fury" passive: when nearby any un-allied creatures with Pack (NOT gang) mechanics, gains a buff that grants it +15% attack and defense.

Ursus maritimus (Polar Bear)
- Spawning: Tundra Biodome, Center Tundra Grasslands, Snow Regions
- Tameable: Tranq
- Taming Food: raw prime meat, mutton (rex taming foods)

Larger and marginally stronger than the Grizzly, Polar Bears offer a slightly different niche that make them horrifyingly powerful in their own rights.

- Can swim and sprint swim at high speed
- lacks an oxygen stat
- deals 50% more damage to Aquatic and Amphibious dinosaurs.
- grants the rider an insulation buff.
- Left click bite. Harvests corpses.
- Right click: Rearing slash that hits twice for high base damage. Targets larger than 425 drag weight receive the trike stun debuff. Targets smaller than that receive the Broken Bones buff.
- C key: Fear Roar. Rears up on its back legs to give off an intimidating roar to anything 600 drag weight or less, inflicting them with Mammoth intimidation.
- Immune to Freezing
Mockatoo
Spawns: Jungles, Oasis, Green Desert
Tameable: Passive

Herbivorous birds that, when tamed, provide the various seeds of the mod in their inventory as craftable resources!
Moo-Cow
- Spawns: Sanctuary City, Grassland, Beach, Jungle, Sunken Forest, Green Desert, Oasis
- Tameable: Passive

Herbivores mostly meant as livestock.

- When tamed, can be milked for... well, milk. It's its own resource, separate from Wyverns and Bison. Spoils into cheese!
- When killed, gives Raw Steak and Raw Oxtail. Raw Steak can be used similarly to Prime Meat, and Raw Oxtail is a mutton equivalent!
Chicken
- Spawns: Sanctuary City, Oasis, Grassland, Green Desert, Beach, Sunken Forest
- Tameable: Tranq

Livestock, no more no less.

- When killed, drops feathers (used for arrows) and Raw Poultry. The latter is a prime meat substitute!
- Lays eggs over time like dodos, used as the same.
- Males will crow every morning.
- Tames on seeds, prefers them over berries when tamed for feed.
Boarhog
Spawns: Redwoods, Grasslands, Sanctuary City, Sunken Forest, Green desert.
Tameable: Tranq

Omnivores, can be used as livestock or low-tier mounts.

- Weak, but extensive gang bonus.
- Drastic weight reductions and harvest multipliers for mushrooms of all kinds
- Left click bite. Harvests corpses, fiber, etc. Also grants a regen buff when eating from corpses.
- Right click headbutt, for knockback.
- C key sniff. Scan the area and grant yourself temporary predator vision
- spacebar to jump
- When killed, gives Raw Pork and Raw Spare Ribs. They are Prime and Mutton substitutes!
