Character selection and campaign tips
1. Pick Jenny Barnes and only her. She has a balanced sanity value of 6 and stamina value of 4. And with her special ability she always has valuable items and trophies at her hand, if you use her right. Don't pick any other character, as they'll be gathering her items and trophies and waisting the precious time before the Doom Track is full. After all, at the end, only one character can beat Cthulhu and Jenny has the best odds of surviving and gathering sufficient amount of items, which are mandatory for beating Cthulhu.

2. In the first part, the Museum, try to gather the 7 Elder Signs as fast as possible, before Doom track advances. A good result is 7:0 or 7:1. It'll provide you plenty of time to gather items, talismans and find Ryleh. If you're lucky enough, you can manage to get even 8 Elder Signs in the Museum (by picking an adventure with 2 Elder Signs as reward, when you already have gathered 6). Not that it matters, because you'll get the last 4 Elder Signs for beating Cthulhu and you need only 11 in total. Some adventures provide "-1 doom token" as a reward. Don't waste this reward, if the Doom Track is empty. Save this adventure for the end of the first part, as chance to have "-1 doom token" will come so rarely in the second part.

3. In the second part, Ultima Tule, your goal is to gather all three talismans. It is not possible to beat Cthulhu without them, as they unlock the common items, unique items, clues and spells. You also need to reveal location of Ryleh, where Cthulhu dwells. You need to spend 30 exploration tokens for that purpose. Don't waste your trophies on tokens in the shop, because you will spend them in the process of completing the adventures. Just remember to spend all the spare investigation tokens before completing the last task (it's easy to forget, if you're rushing trough an adventure). It's likely that you'll reveal Ryleh before you find the last talisman.

4. There are certain priorities to consider when choosing the adventures. They're following: 1. locked glyphs (priority order: green-red-yellow); 2. midnight events (consider the time when the clock hits midnight - every 4 turns); 3. monsters (especially, the Deep Ones), because some of the midnight events are punishing for any monsters present in the game; also it's much more difficult to beat several monsters at the same time than invidual monsters alone – don't let them multiply; 4. Elder Signs/ talismans/ special items as a reward (Cthulhu symbol on them). Also be careful with adventures that spawn monsters or have terror glyph around them. You don't want to have a monster in a terror adventure and you don't want too many monsters in the game at the same time.

5. Always keep sufficient amount of items at your disposal – at least 2 clues or 1 clue+1 common item/spell (for harder adventures you need even more clues). Restock at the shop or easier adventures. Plan ahead! Remember that Jenny cannot turn the unique items into a red and yellow glyph. And you can't exchange or sell them. Since, you can have only one yellow and one red glyph per adventure, it's smart to spend red glyphs from time to time, instead of keeping them and converting other items into the red+yellow pair.

6. When you have gathered 15 trophies, spend them on special items (3 extra glyphs, blue monster removal card, "-1 doom token", "+ 5 exploration tokens" or sometimes even a missing talisman. It's a good idea to spend your trophies also because some of the entry costs require to remove all the trophies. And it would be painful to loose all your trophies, wouldn't it? If you can, try to avoid the latter type of adventures before you have spent all your trophies.

7. If you have acquired the blue monster removal card, save it for the last. Although you risk loosing it due to midnight event that takes away a random item, take the risk. Because you'll need it when the Dogon priest spawns. He's especially nasty one, because he locks the red glyph (or red+yellow) and tends to spawn in numbered adventures in the last position.

8. Heal, when necessary. There are midnight events that take away -1 stamina for each Deep One or -1 sanity in general. Keep your stamina and sanity values atleast at 2. Don't leave nothing to chance!

9. Converting. Common items are the least of value to Jenny, because she can convert them to yellow+red glyphs anyway. The second least important are spells. Convert healing items, only if you don't have any other option. Try to convert clues, only if you have more than one.

10. Take your time! When you have gathered all the talismans and Ryleh is revealed, the last thing to do is to gather sufficient amount of items. The more you have, the better. The easiest way is to buy them. Before entering the final battle, I bought 7 clue tokens and a spell. I converted one of the clues into red+yellow glyphs and had a full healing item at my disposal from the adventures in case I'm not going to make it. It was just enough to beat Cthulhu without any problem. Try to have the special 3 glyph item for the final battle, if you can, but often it's not possible.

11. The last point to enter the final fight is when the Doom Track advances to 8 (even 7 is a risk). Because after that point there's a risk that it can advance to 11 during one turn.

12. When entering the final battle, have Jenny's sanity value atleast at 5 or a sanity healing item at your disposal. Because the penalty for failing Cthulhu battle is "-4 sanity." Atleast you'll have a second chance, if you fail and still have some items/trophies left.

13. Remember the odds, remember the dice sides! There are 3 sides with Investigation glyphs (1-3, + 4 for yellow and red), 1 with peril, 1 with terror, 1 with lore. The numbers fall more frequently. It should be random. But somehow with harder missions the distribution is not as even, as you would expect. Have extra items at your disposal, when entering adventures with devastating penalties. When having two adventures with the same amount of glyphs, it is likely that the one with the softer penalty, will be easier. Always consider the risk of investment (ROI). Is the reward worth the risk?
Reward
The reward for beating Cthulhu is Treasure Hunter, Leo Anderson (5/5). He get's +1 extra trophy for each adventure he succeeds at.

Impressive! Took about four tries to get past stage one, but after that it went right through to the end. I would have never thought a single investigator was the way to do it.
