=CHAPTER 0: Introduction
After the intro cutscenes, we find ourselves on the World Map, with a lot of travel paths, but only one accessible location: Small Forest. If you've played the game before or want to dive straight in, press Enter and skip to the next Section of this guide. If you find yourself lost or overwhelmed, I'll go over everything in detail as it becomes relevant.

Hey, I'm Jesse, and this is my first ever guide, so it'll be text-based while I figure out how all this works. Feel free to give me feedback on stuff I missed or what needs improvement, and I may make more guides in the future.

SETTINGS
Starting in the bottom-right, there's a bunch of buttons. From the top, we've got our Settings screen, where we can adjust the volumes for Music, Sound Effects, Voices respectively. Set these to whatever feels right for you. As for Message Speed, I recommend fastest, but if you struggle with English, you can tweak that a bit.

On the right, we've got Display, which is your window size, how the camera behaves and whether your characters get focused on in battle. Again, set these to whatever works best for you. Back to the world map ('Back' in the top-right).

SAVE GAME
The icon below lets us save your game. This is going to be a good friend of ours, so use it often. The game does auto-save, but nothing beats the certainty of a manual save. Keep one slot for the main save and the rest for backups, if you feel the need. Back to the Map!

MAIN MENU - PARTY
PARTY
This is where the magic happens. We can see our entire party, which is currently only one character: D. We start out with 150HP (health, if it hits 0, you die, standard stuff), 20MP (which lets you cast skills) and 0 SP (which is earned from battles and allows us to improve our characters).

SP
This is our skill tree. It's where we can spend earned SP to improve our characters, one little bonus at a time. At times, they might seem expensive or not worth it, but every little bit adds up. You start out in the Slayer tree, which is one of six classes you can specialize in. More on that later.

EQUIP
Fairly straightforward. This is where you equip your weapon and your accessories (collectively known as Armor). Right now you only have your Evoblade I and no armor, but that will change soon. A few more stats on the right, before we move on: CHG is your super attack and will be relevant later. HP and MP we've covered already. ATK is basic attack power, MAG is spell power, SPD determines how often you get your turn.

SKILLS
All your skills combined in a neat little overview. Right now we only have one, Fire Attack, which we've gotten from the Slayer I tree. It costs 4MP to use and deals Fire damage based on Attack Damage. Neat!

MAIN MENU - MENU
INVENTORY
This shows all the items we've found and bought over the course of the game. Right now all we've got is 3x Heal Potion I, which heal 75 HP each. We can use these by clicking them, then clicking the character we want to heal. We start at full health, so no need for that now.

BESTIARY
This is going to be useful, as it holds information on every enemy we've beaten. It'll tell us their strengths and weaknesses, as well as other information that might come in handy in taking them down. I'll be keeping track for you as you encounter them, giving you the knowledge as if you'd already beaten them!

ACHIEVEMENTS
Fairly straightforward. Milestones we complete during the game (e.g. Chapters or optional locations) are tied to an achievement, as are sidequests and minigames. I'm aiming to cover all of these in the guide and they'll be mentioned when relevant. Also keeps a battle counter, nice.

HELP
If anything's unclear, you can probably find your answers here, but if I do my job here, you shouldn't ever have to check it. ;)

QUIT
Quits the game. Good to know, but failry counterproductive at the moment. Without further ado, into the first area!
=CHAPTER 1: Small Forest
With all of the tutorial explanation out of the way, we can finally play the game. The only location available to us is Small Forest, and this is where our story starts. Enter if you haven't already.

A movement tutorial pops up. Nothing you haven't seen before. Arrow keys/WASD/click to move around. Also chests and enemies are a thing, who'd have thought. Maps in other dungeons might vary, as will encounters, but this one is technically still the tutorial, so we want to blaze through this quick.

Follow the path until you find your first encounter: a slime. These are weak enemies that you should be able to kill in two basic attack hits. They give 15 gold, (which is money), 4 SP (can't ever have enough of that). Sometimes, they drop other stuff, like their card (more on this later), or items.

[ACHIEVEMENT: First! - Win your first battle!]

I'll mention enemies as you encounter them per zone:

Bestiary Number & Name
=Abilities that they can use.
=Weaknesses (100+% damage), Resists (99-1% damage), Immune (0% damage), Heals (negative damage) and how much damage it does, if any.
=Resistances against ailments and debuffs

#001 - Earth Slime
=Earth I
=Weak to Fire (200%); Immune to Earth

For now, keep following the path, dispatching any slimes you encounter along the way. You might take some damage, but if things get dire, you can use a potion. Slimes have a chance to drop these, too. Don't worry too much about it for now. You can choose to one-shot them with your fire attack as they take double damage from Fire, but try to save your mana for the boss.

Once you come across the chest, walk over it to open it and claim your loot.

Final room is guarded by your first boss: Gargantuan. This is actually more of a strong monster for this area, rather than an actual boss, but as opposed to other fights, you can see a big health bar at the bottom. That needs to be 0 and we're going to make that happen.

#002 - Gargantuan
=Impale
=Weak to Fire (125%)

Strategy-wise, this is a simple fight. He's weak to Fire (25% extra damage) and guess who has access to a Fire spell? You can either spam basic attacks, or use your Fire Attack for some bonus damage. Use potions to heal if you need to, but other than that, we'll keep whacking this overgrown lizard until he rolls over. I happened to crit him twice in a row with Fire Attack and that was the end of that. 150 Gold, 26 SP and a Plate I, which is our first Armor.

Another tutorial telling you what I've gone over already. SP and Equipment matters. That said, equip your Armor I for a neat boost of 50 to your HP. Additionally, you can check your SP to unlock your first node, giving a small bonus to ATK. Slayer is a class mainly focused on damage, so there'll be more where that came from. More on that as it becomes relevant. Just remember that D is a Slayer.

Exit Small Forest. Don't worry about healing as the game give you a full-heal almost right away. Enter Medium Forest.
Medium Forest
As the name implies, slightly bigger than the last dungeon, and also the first where enemies respawn. As we enter, we gain our second party member, Lina, who is a Thief. Her Thief I skill tree means she comes with Burst, which is a skill that allows you to throw items at the enemy. Depending on the item thrown, you get different effects, the main one of which is obviously damage. More on that later! Now that you have two party members, that also means your damage output goes up massively. Lina's main stat is SPD, so while she won't be hitting as hard as D does, she'll do it more often.

If you're struggling, you can always leave and go back to Small Forest to one-shot slimes and get some health potions, but you're better off pushing through until we get to the town. Medium Forest is better for farming anyway. We'll be doing plenty of that for resources and materials later. You will likely find some Scrap Metal, which goes straight to our inventory and will be of use to us later.

Always check every room and grab every chest you come across, as they don't respawn. I will only mention the ones with interesting stuff in them (e.g. rare potions or weapons before a shop sells them). They give a bunch of useful items and even weapons/armor. For example, you should find a Gauntlet I in here somewhere. This gives 20 ATK bonus, so that's nothing to sneeze at, at this point in the game. For now, I tend to put that on Lina and keep the Plate on D. Later on, we'll move things around as ATK is D's main stat.

Get in the habit of checking SP after every few battles, as this gives is one of two main avenues of improving your party. SP is shared between all party members, even the ones you haven't unlocked yet. This means that Lina likely has a boost waiting for her, which is a little bit of HP. She'll need it, as you'll face battles with multiple enemies from here. Try to anticipate which enemies take their turn first and prioritize taking them out before they get the chance. That way, you minimize damage taken in combat and thus give you more fights between heals/rests.

Nothing too special here, but there are a few new enemies:
#005 - Goblin (ordinary gobbo)

#006 - Ent
=Poison
=Weak to Fire (200%); Heals Earth (-50%)

Won't be long until you can one-shot them, and chances are Lina already can, now that she has the Gauntlet equipped. Try having her take out enemies that go before your party in the turn order, while D does the same thing on enemies that are slower and take two hits. If you enter a room and the fight seems like a hard one, feel free to exit and re-enter, as it'll likely re-roll the encounter.

Keep exploring until you find the boss at the exit: Rock. Big dinosaur-looking fella in metal armor, wielding a club. Literally can't miss him. Again, check SP for a bit of extra oomph and save to get in the habit of doing that often, too.

BOSS: ROCK
PHASE 1

#007 - Rock
=Impale

Strategy for this boss is the same as the last one, with a few caveats. As you see, his health bar has a heart now. That means he has a phase 2. 210HP is nothing to worry about, but keep in mind there's more coming. Since we'll get to enter the town soon, we're pulling out all the stops. Have D use his Fire Attack and have Lina throw Grenades with Burst. Luckily, he doesn't hit very hard, unless he uses his Impale skill.

PHASE 2
#008 - Rock
=Impale

Great, we've made him angry, and has even more health than he had before! He's slightly faster now, as well, but other than that, it's the same guy. Again, the only worry is the Impale skill here. Another 270HP to chew through, but our strategy remains unchanged: Fire Attack and Burst until he zeroes. 180 gold and 40SP. Neat.

Exit Medium Forest.
Smalltown
Welcome to Smalltown, our first city, with all the benefits that brings. Lina's gone, but we'll get her back in a moment. Before anything else, pull up your SP screen, as you'll likely have encountered a white node by now. These give you a choice between two bonuses. In this example, I went with ATK since that's D's main stat and works best with Slayer skills. Choosing either bonus locks the other and moves on to the next node.

Exit Smalltown and briefly enter Evil Cave to the west, which is our next dungeon. This is just to get Lina back in the squad. Exit Evil Cave and head back to Smalltown.

Lina might've learned Steal by now, which is a great way to hunt for specific items, once you know which enemies drop them. Most bosses have 'Nothing to steal', so don't bother wasting turns trying to steal rare stuff.

THE TOWN
MERCENARY INC
The adventurer's guild. Here you can hunt for bosses and side content such as Monster Defense. It also has a jukebox to listen to the soundtracks, and it allows you to talk to NPCs and companions for a bit of lore, but the quests are what we're after. "Double Crosser" is your first Wanted target, the Slime King, while Zombie Defense is a match-3 minigame. More on that later. For now, accept "Double Crosser" and go back to the town menu.

PET
Unavailable until after we defeat Slime King, but we'll get to this when it's relevant.

SHOP - BUY
Finally, a place to spend our hard-earned moolah
    HEAL
  • Heal Potion 1 - Heals 75HP
  • Cure Potion - Cures stat ailments such as poisoned and other nasties.
  • Revive - Picks a character back up if they fall to 0HP.

    WEAPON
  • Heatblade I - New sword for D.
  • Kris I - New dagger for Lina.

    ARMOR
  • Plate I - +50HP
  • Gauntles I - +20ATK
  • Amulet I - +20MAG

Most things here are stuff we either already have plenty of, will find for free later, or that is too expensive to bother with right now. We'll come back here often, so don't worry about it for now.

SHOP - ARMORY
This place is important. It allows us to spend Scrap Metal to improve equipped weapons and armor for everyone in the party. It's a resource we accumulate over time, so just upgrade what you prefer for now and don't worry about running out/not having enough Scrap Metal.

SHOP - ALCHEMY
BURST
Combining items with other items for bonus effects. This is for Lina's Burst ability. Different types of damage, added effects, or multi-hit. Useful later, but since we don't have much, we can't craft much. Her Fire-damage Grenades work fine for now.

WEAPON
New and improved weapons, and not just swords and daggers, either! Looks like we'll get access to guns and scythes at some point too, but that is spoiler territory. Again, we don't have much, so we can't do much, meaning we'll leave this as is for now.

ARMOR
Same as the WEAPON tab, but as you can see, there is some absolutely broken stuff in here. Auto-casting abilities at the start of battles, or when HP is low. Damage negation. Different stat boosts. Increased rewards. Hoo boy.

ITEMS
Useful stuff, but not required right now and a lot of this we'll get access to later anyway.

DISMANTLE
Any unwanted equipment we can dump here and dismantle it for scrap metal and items. Won't be relevant for a while, but better than having to drop stuff/sell it just for money. Going to be more useful when we start getting equipment dropped on the regular.

SHOP - SELL
Straightforward. Anything we don't want, we can dump here. However, most things are useful one way or another and money is easily farmed, so we likely won't be clicking this much.

BATTLE ARENA
Here you can repeat fights and take on challenging battles. Nothing available now, but it's divided into MONS(ter battles) and BOSS (battles). More on that later.

INN
Restore HP/MP for a fee. Useful after doing some farming or before going in to challenge a boss.

CARD BATTLE
Another minigame we'll go into when we need to. This is what the cards that monsters have been dropping are for. You can earn cards on a victory and lose them on loss, but you can always farm more cards.

Also shows your current funds. Take the "Double Crosser" from the Mercenary Inc bounty board if you haven't already, and back out onto the world map we go.
WANTED: "Double Crosser" = King Slime @ Small Forest
You can do these Wanted quests as they appear or later if you're cleaning up, but I recommend doing this one now, as it unlocks the Pet in town.

Welcome back in the tutorial dungeon. If you've been here before to farm, you'll have noticed that the Gargantuan fight had been replaced by three Slimes. During this quest, however, you'll find your first Wanted target here: the King Slime. At 450+450 for a total of 900HP, it's the chonkiest boss you've faced so far. If you're struggling, feel free to farm Medium Forest or even Evil Cave for a bit before coming back to wipe this guy, but he shouldn't be much of a challenge.

PHASE 1 - 450HP
#003 - King Slime
=Fire I, Water I, Lightning I, Earth I

Strategy is straightforward: D spams Fire Attack, Lina spams Burst->Grenade or basic attacks if she's ran out of stuff to throw. If you've unlocked Bash on D, use that instead to possible stun him and not have him take as many turns.

PHASE 2 - 450HP
#004 - King Slime
=Fire I, Poison, Water I, Lightning I, Earth I

Bosses getting angry when we kill them seems to be a trend. He's got a Poison ability now, as well. Use potions as necessary to heal, and Cure Potions to get rid of the Poison.

165+500Gold, 20SP, 15 Scrap Metal and the Pet Slime. One down, fourteen to go. Exit to world map.
Smalltown, Part 2 & Pet
After cleaning up your first Wanted target, make sure to heal, spend SP and save. Pet is now available! You can play dress-up with the stuff you find for him in the world, as well as claim a gift he procures every so often. There's ten sets and he levels up as you find those.

Also introducing the Pet Whistle, allowing you to summon your pet as if he were an ability in battle, hitting all enemies for the damage displayed. You get a whistle every time you visit your slime, but can only ever have one whistle at a time. As its level goes up, it does more damage when summoned.
Zombie Defense I&II
Head over to Mercenary Inc and grab the Zombie Defense quest. Walk towards Evil Cave and then head north, then enter.

This is a match-3 minigame, where you have to match sets of three, four or five gems of the same color. More gems = more damage. The point is to defeat enemies as they come in, preventing them from reaching you. If you match something with no enemies on the field, the boss takes damage instead. So, as you'll have gathered, this is about speed more than which gems you match. A big combo can win you the entire match in an instant.

Zombie Defense I - 500 Gold + Pet Accessory 2

Head back to town and accept Zombie Defense II, then return to the Zombie Defense Area to do the same thing again.

Zombie Defense II - 600 Gold + Stat ATK

Stat potions permanently increase that stat. That makes this a very valuable reward. I give ATK ones to D since that's his main stat.

Congratulations, that's all quests done in Smalltown! At least, for now. Heal, SP, Save if you haven't already and off to the next area we go.
Evil Cave
Story sends us to the next area: Evil Cave. Finally, a proper dungeon. If you've not done any farming, this is the place to start doing so. No need to go past the point where you get a second skill tree, but I'm not your boss, you do you. Farm as much or as little as you like. It does help a ton to make it a habit and this ensures you usually have enough of everything (gold, SP, scrap, items...)

The quickest way to farm right now is to stay close by the edge of a map without a chest that borders another one without a chest and just step between the two maps until encounters spawn. If possible, neither should be the entrance or exit of the dungeon floor.
Keep track of turn order and who can one-shot which enemies, then take down targets accordingly. Stat ailments disappear at the end of combat, so probably no need to cure that poison if the battle's almost done.
Return to town if you need a big heal in between or want to pick the fruits of your labor.

#009 - Bat
=Silence, Drain
=Weak to Fire, Wind (150%); Immune to Earth
=Strong vs. Blind

#010 - Helper Wisp
=Fire I, Fire I
=Weak to Water (200%), Wind (125%); Immune to Earth; Heals Fire (50%)
=Strong vs. Silence

#011 - Zombie
=Bite
=Weak to Fire (150%); Heals Water (25%)
=Strong vs. Sleep

#012 - Skeleton Armor
=Double Attack

Get some gold and SP, see what you get in terms of items, and if you've got any spare Scrap Metal, don't forget to head back to town to improve your gear.

Things of note (in chests unless specified otherwise):
1F
Earth Charm - Reduces incoming Earth damage, helpful against this area's boss.

2F
=Pet Body 2
=Hackpick-chest: Heatblade I, ATK Flask
This is your introduction to the Hackpicking minigame. Click the arrows to reverse their places on the board and lead Lina to the loot. If you need more time, give her a little circle of 4 arrows to spin in while you set up a path.
As for the loot: that blade is 2.000 gold in the shop we now didn't have to spend. The flask is not a permanent stat-booster, sadly, but useful in battle all the same.

3F
BOSS - DARGON - 446+525=971HP
#013 - Dargon
=Roar, Earth I, Quake I

#014 - Dargon
=Roar, Fire I, Earth I, Quake I

Big bag of hit points, but not very special beyond that. Earth Charm can help mitigate his damage, but other than that, just take him out with the same strategy that's served us well so far. 255 Gold, 60SP

Game auto-exits after the fight.
Smalltown, Part 3
Welcome back to Smalltown and it looks like we picked up a tag-along. You can't alter Phoebe and she doesn't get stronger, but her hammer is a welcome source of extra damage.

Heal, SP, save.

As for SP, if you've made it to the point where you pick your second tree, congrats, you can now multiclass. It tells which abilities will be unlocked and how many nodes of what kind you get. This is where you can specialize your characters. I tend to go for Guardian on D, and Trickster on Lina. If you're struggling, confirm you've spent your Scrap Metal at the Shop's Armory. Alternatively, head back to Evil Cave and do a little more fighting. Nodes cost more SP as you progress through the skill trees, but enemies also drop more the stronger they get. Some fights can be farmed repeatedly in the Battle Arena for set rewards, which you can increase with items such as the SP Ring.

We've got a new quest at Mercenary Inc you can do right now or keep for later. Again, I recommend doing theses as they pop up, since they often give decent rewards and open up new areas for you to clear. If you want to keep this for later, head to the Orc Isle part of this guide.
WANTED: "Press Jump" = Frog King @ Small River
Grab the "Press Jump" quest from the Mercs and head west of Smalltown, then south to Small River. The monsters here are comparable to Medium Forest/Evil Cave in difficulty, and some of them you've seen before. Phoebe can one-shot the Ents, but not others, so either have her target those or use her to help finish off the ones you can't oneshot with D and Lina yet. She does have some useful spells, though! Attack Up All, Heal, Heal All, Quake I and Bash.

#015 - Crab
=Crab Claw
=Weak to Fire, Wind (140%), Earth (125%); Immune to Water

#016 - Frog
=Lick
=Weak to Wind (175%), Fire (125%); Resists Earth (25%); Immune to Water

#017 - Giant Turtle
=Impale, Stampede
=Weak to Wind (175%), Fire (125%), Resists Earth, Phys (50%), Water (25%)
=Strong vs. Stun

#029 - Buggy
=Sting, ATK Up
=Weak to Fire, Wind (150%), Water (120%); Immune to Earth
=Strong vs. Silence, Resist vs. Poison

Things of note:
Pet Mouth 2

Frog King - 1120HP
#020 - Phase 1 - 525HP
=Lick, Poison
=Weak to Wind (175%), Fire (125%); Resists Earth (25%); Immune to Water

#021 - Phase 2 - 595HP
=Poison becomes Poison All
=Wind weakness drops to 150%
=Gains resist to all StatDown & gains Strong vs. Silence, Confuse, Sleep, Stun and Blind

Quest reward: 500 Gold, 15 Scrap Metal.
Orc Isle
Almost every new dungeon from here on out is a great opportunity to do some farming, and I suggest you do. Once again, having access to a decent supply of items, making sure you got all the chests and SP to go around is going to make this game a lot easier. So, don't be afraid to take it slow.

Alright, next dungeon. Heal, SP, Save if you haven't already, then head east from Smalltown. Lots of familiar enemies here, I'll only go over the new ones.

#018 - Orc
=Bash
=Strong vs. Stun

#028 - Bolt
=Lightning I, Large Talon (a variation of Poison All)
=Weak to Water (175%), strong against Wind (25%)

Things of note:
Chest - Kris I
Chest - Pet Eyes 2

BOSS: #019 - Orc Master - 875HP
=Bash, Cleave
=Weak to Earth (125%)
=Strong vs. Stun, Resists Silence
You can use Lina's Armor Down to help D and Phoebe do a little more damage.

300 Gold, 75SP. Phoebe leaves the party. Next! Back to Smalltown.

Smalltown, Part 4 + Beach + Fishing
Mari joins the party! The first order of business is to spend her SP, as she'll have all the SP you've farmed so far. She starts out as an elementalist, meaning she's your mage. For her second tree, I send her up the Healer route. I had just over 1.000 SP to spend on her at this point, to give you an idea how much you've farmed in comparison to how much I did.

Heal, SP, Save and also spend your Scrap Metal. You can buy an Amulet I for Mari, but you'll find one soon enough. Pick up the "HAMMER" quest from the board and head for Beach, to the north of Medium Forest.

BEACH
Slimes as the only enemies, but a few Things off Note
Chest - Stat MAG (I use these on Mari)
Chest - Stat ATK
Chest - Stat HP (Keeping these until endgame and then I'll see who needs them most.)

Boss: Koohii (#213) - 825HP

If your Lina has Poison by now, you can try applying that early for some extra damage over time. Mari gets to shine as your magic damage, but keep her on standby for heals as Koohii packs a punch. Aim for a quick win, as she can throw out a bunch of nasty stat effects and is resistant to most of them, too. 300 Gold, 120 SP + quest rewards (gold and scrap).

Next up is another minigame: fishing. East of Orc Isle, it's fairly straightforward, with the only 'gimmick' being that you get double the Rare Chance at max range. Every time you don't get a rare, it goes up. Shouldn't take you more than 5-10 minutes to catch all three, which can be used in battle to boost stats. Best get them out of the way quick, so you no longer have to worry about it. You're looking for Mega Shark, Carp Dime and Pet Accessory 2, making 3/18 rare fish for the Fisherman achievement.

When you're done, return to town, go through the usual routine and either pick up the next Wanted target in the Water Ruins to the southeast, or head to the story marker south of Smalltown on Small Bridge.
WANTED: "In A Pinch" = Crab King @ Water Ruins
New area, you know what that means. Don't be afraid to explore and take a few extra fights, as the enemies here will be nothing new. Spend any SP you've earned before the boss fight at the end of floor 2, make sure you're healed up if you feel it necessary, and let's turn this guy into past tense.

2F chest - Pet Hat 2.

Boss: Crab King - 1225HP
#022 - Phase 1 - 700HP
=Armor Up, Crab Claw
=Weak to Fire, Earth, Wind (125%); immune to Water
=Resists StatDown, Strong vs Silence, Confuse, Sleep, Stun, Blind

#023 - Phase 2 - 525HP
=Weaknesses go up to 130%
=Loses resistances and strengths.

I managed to open with Poison and land a stun, effectively working through both health bars without him getting a single turn. Target down. Next!
Small Bridge + Green Plains + Orange Pass
SMALL BRIDGE
This dungeon is a literal straight line, as you'd expect from a bridge. Two new enemies:

#024 - Maka
=Lightning I, Lullaby

#027 - Kay-9
Nothing to report on this one. No skills, no weaknesses. Just an ordinary doggo.

Boss: Bop - 1540HP
#025 - Phase 1 - 770HP
=Lightning I, Fire I, Earth I, Water I

#026 - Phase 2 - 770HP
=Stats go up ~20%, gets the usual resistances to ailments and StatDowns.

You know the drill by now. No mercy, we've got a world to save and no time for this fool. He's pretty fast, but shouldn't be anything troublesome. 300 Gold and 112 SP.

GREEN PLAINS
New enemies:
#030 - Seedling
=Pollen, Regen
=Weak to Fire (200%), Resists Wind (50%); Immune to Earth; Heals Water (-50%)

#031 - Gargantuan (Same, but different, but still same. Different entry in the Bestiary to the first boss, so kill at least one here.)
=Impale, Stampede
=Weak to Earth, Phys (125%); Strong vs Fire, Water, Wind (75%)
=Strong vs. Stun

#032 - Earth Golem
=Earth I, Quake I, Guard (a variation of Armor Up)
=Weak to Fire (150%); Resists Phys (80%), Wind (50%); Immune to Water
=Strong vs. Stun

Things of note:
Chest - Blind Ring
Hack-pick chest - Shield I & Grenade x5

No boss this time!

ORANGE PASS
Okay, final dungeon before we wrap up chapter 1 and get into the next town. A few new enemies, as well:

#033 - Fire Slime
=Fire I
=Weak to Water (200%); Resists Phys (75%); Immune to Fire

#034 - Hyena (yet another ordinary doggo, but a different color!)

#035 - Scorpion
=Sting
=Weak to Water, Wind (125); Resists Fire, Earth (75%)

#036 - Stalker
=Blind, Blind All
=Resist vs. Blind

#038 - Bandit
=Quicken, Burst, Quick Attack

Things of note:
Hackpick-chest: Repair-pistol I, Mana Potion I x2
Chest: Pet Body 3

Boss: Demon (#037) - 2295HP
=Blind, Poison, Attack Up, Armor Down, Rend
=The usual boss resists, but immune to Silence.

In my opinion, this is the first challenge of the game. The bosses are getting more tanky, but we're getting stronger too. This one can hit pretty hard, so keep Mari ready for the heals/cure. 420 Gold, 280SP, chapter 1 complete. Head into Dustop.

[ACHIEVEMENT: Chapter I - Completed Chapter I]
=CHAPTER 2: Dustop & sorting stuff out
DUSTOP
Alright, intro done, let's get a little more serious about this.

Heal, SP, Save. If you've made it to the third skill tree, I recommend going with the tier 2 version of whatever tree you started with. So Slayer II for D, Thief II for Lina and Elementalist II for Mari.

The shop has a few new items. I switched my Gauntlet to D, bought Boots for Lina and an Amulet for Mari. This way their main stat gets boosted.

Feel free to experiment, e.g. all Boots to make them faster. Also check their weapons. If you've taken D in a spellblade direction, you might want to switch his weapon to Runeblade. If Lina is debuff over damage, switch to Dirk I that the shop sells you for 2.000 gold. If Mari is your healer more than anything, she might benefit from the Repair Pistol more.

Let's put that new gear to the test.

BATTLE ARENA, PART 1.
Small Town Gang (MONS) and The Small 3 (BOSS) are now available. You've seen all these individually before, so the same strategies apply. Head into the dungeon, approach the question mark and make quick work of them.
For quick sweeps, make sure you do enough damage to one-shot them and then use multi-target abilities along the lines of Cleave (D) and Quake (Mari).

Once again, keep in mind what order you kill them in, as the MONS will be replaced by another enemy until their numbers run out, and the BOSSes will go into their 2nd phase. Utilize weaknesses where you can and check the Bestiary if you can't remember them. You can run these at any time, so depending on how quickly you clear them, it might make for good farming.
For the BOSS ones, try focusing either the main threat or the lowest HP down first. My Mari was able to capitalize weaknesses and oneshot the Frog King on both health bars.

If you're struggling, you can come back later when you've got better stats and equipment, but they shouldn't pose much of a challenge and this guide assumes you do stuff as it becomes available, provided I was able to do it when I got there.

FISHING 2
Before we get into Ch2 for real, head back towards Orange Pass and go north for 3 more fishing rares. Everything works the same as it did the first time. Mega Shark, Angel Fish, Pet Accessory 3.

With all that out of the way, since we can't reach Mummy Defense yet, either grab the next Wanted quest in the Tavern and backtrack west, to Watch Tower... or head to the story marker at Mine.

WANTED: "I am the night!" = Bat King @ Watch Tower
Unless you skipped this and went with the story, this is the first dungeon of Ch2, which means new enemies, new items and some farming to do while you're here. Small, but multiple floors.

#039 - Fire Bat
=Silence, Drain, Fire I
=Weak to Fire, Wind (150%); Immune to Earth
=Strong vs. Blind

#040 - Friendly Wisp
=Fire I, Attack Up, Magic Up, Spirit Up, Armor Up
=Weak to Water (200%), Wind (125%); Immune to Earth; Heals Fire (-50%).
=Strong vs. Silence

#041 - Skeleton
=Double Attack

#042 - Skeleton Archer (Just an ordinary skello)

#049 - Gorgon
=Bite, Stone
=Strong vs. Confuse

#050 - Skeleton Prime
=Double Attack

Things of note:
3F - Pet Hat 3

4F Boss: Bat King = 1232+1487=2719HP
Phase 1 (#053) - 1232 HP
=Silence All, Fire I, Drain
=Weak to Fire, Wind (150%); immune to Earth
Phase 2 (#054)
=Gains resistances to StatDown and ailments
360 Gold, 220SP + Quest reward

If you've done this right away, head back to the Tavern in Dustop and pick up the Mummy Defense quest, then head for the Mine.
Mine
About the same difficulty level as the Watchtower was. Enemies are recycled from the previous areas. If you've reached the fourth skill tree, I'd recommend going for Tier 2 of whatever you picked as your second.

Things of note:
1F Chest - Fire Charm
2F Chest - Pet Eyes 3
3F Hackpick Chest - Airhacker I, MDEF Flask

BOSS: Bandit Leader (#043) - 2380HP
=Burst, Burst All, Blind, Poison, Quick Attack
=The usual boss resists, but immune to Silence.

630Gold, 300 SP

Head back to Dustop and do the usual. Welcome Demon Kaz to the party! New member means SP to spend! He had 5968 on my end. He does not start with any tree, so you can make him whatever. I went with Slayer/Thief as his base stats are ATK and SPD, and gave him a Gauntlet.

The game sends us to Desert next. Pick up Mummy Defense if you haven't already and head over there.
Desert
Seeing as we still can't access Mummy Defense and aren't going to bother with Card Battle until we have proper late-game cards, we've got no choice but to follow the story.

#044 - Vulture
=Large Talon (Poison All), Wing Sweep (Cleave)
=Resists Water, Wind (50%)

#045 - Dune Worm
=Earth I, Quake I
=Weak to Phys (125%), Resists Wind (50%)
=Strong vs. Stun

#046 - Sphynx
=Entomb (Bash)

Things of note:
Hackpick Chest: Boots I, Scrap Metal x10
Chest: Pet Mouth 3

Now that we're through there, we're going to do some cleanup. Head straight for Mummy Defense.
Mummy Defense I&II
Same exact idea as Zombie Defense, just slightly harder and might take a bit of extra matching to complete. Try matching on the lower half of the board, since a big combo will likely instant-win it.

Mummy Defense I - 500 Gold, Pet Accessory 4
Mummy Defense II - 600 Gold, Monocle (Crit+25%)

Easy-peasy.
WANTED: "Zombie Offense" = Zombie King @ Zombie Cave
Grab the quest from the Dustop Tavern and head out east, to Zombie Cave. Don't forget to spend SP, heal and save before you head out.

#047 - Ghoul
=Bite (Poison)
=Weak to Fire (150%), Heals Water (-25%)
=Strong vs. Sleep

#048 - Mummy:
=Wrap

Things of note:
1F Chest: Stat ATK
1F Chest: Pet Mouth 4
2F Chest: Last DEF

2F Boss: Zombie King - 3060HP
Phase 1 (#057) - 1530 HP

Phase 2 (#058) - 1530 HP
=Gains Quake I

WANTED: "Mummy King Alive" = Mummy King @ Okay Tomb
New Wanted target, new dungeon. Boss at 3F

#051 - Djinn
=Guard, Fire I, Fire Attack, Burst
=Weak to Water (125%), Heals from Fire (-50%)

Things of note:
3F - Pet Eyes 4

BOSS: Mummy King - 3230HP
Phase 1 (#055) - 1530HP
=Wrap, Blind, Poison All
=The usual resistances against ailments and StatDown

Phase 2 (#056) - 1700HP
=Gains stats

390 Gold, 240 SP + 600 Gold, 20 Scrap.
Another one down.
The Dead
After completing the Mummy King hunt, you should have unlocked the next BOSS fight, "The Dead", in the Battle Arena. Heal, SP, Save and perform a bit of the ole regicide.

These guys pack a bunch of stat ailments between them, so if you have access to a Cure All/Recovery, that's going to be a massive help. If not, stack up on Cure Potions and expect to skip a bunch of turns. Heal All will keep your HP above critical levels. Just killing one or two of them is already going to make a big difference.

This is a pretty tough fight, but there's an achievement tied to it, so fair enough.

[ACHIEVEMENT: The Dead - Battle Arena]
Great Tomb
If you're on par with the farming with where I am, you'll just have gotten access to your fifth skill tree, giving you access to your first Tier 3 stuff. Same as before, I went with whatever their first ones were. SP, Heal, Save, then head south twice from Dustop to enter the Great Tomb.

Things of note:
1F Blue Chest - Blue chests are locked, contain cards and you need to complete the main story, then back track to open them. There's eight of them before then, so we'll get back to these later. Ignore them for now.
2F - Pet Body 4
4F Hackpick Chest - Runeblade 1, Scrap Metal x10

4F Boss: Malloc (#052) - 4800HP
=Flame Eater, Armor Up, Fire I, Fire Attack, Burst, Burst All
=Weak to Water (125%), heals Fire (-50%)
=Usual resistances to ailments and StatDown

Unlocks Accessory Slot 2! Massive avenue of improvement since you can now equip 2 Armor each, allowing for some cool combos. Also unlocks the MONS battle "Desert Crawlers", which, since you should do plenty of damage and have access to multi-hit attacks and spells, shouldn't pose that much of a challenge. You can probably farm this for decent SP as every clear was 3-4 nodes for me.

[ACHIEVEMENT: Desert Crawlers - Battle Arena]

Oh, and that's the end of Chapter 2.

[ACHIEVEMENT: Chapter II - Complete Chapter II.]
=CHAPTER 3: West Mine
Welcome to Ch 3. If you've farmed the "Desert Crawlers" MONS battle for a bit, you might well be on your sixth skill tree. You might also have gotten some extra Armors to equip and Scrap Metal to improve them with. I went with Gauntlet, Boots, Amulet for D/Lina/Mari respectively, giving Kaz a Circlet to bost him all around. D and Mari get Boots to boost their speed, Lina a Gauntlet to boost her damage, and Kaz a Monocle for 25% crit. Big gains, let's see what this new and improved party can do.

Grab the "Magnet" quest from the Tavern and head to West Mine, which, unsurprisingly, is west of Mine.

Monster-wise, just slimes and the boss.
Things of note:
=Stat SPD
=Stat MP
=Stat HP

Hey, we know that girl!
Boss: Koohii (#214) - 3000HP - She's got a ton of skills, but is also a bit of a pushover at this point. It's basically all the BURST items we can craft.
=Burst, Bio Vile, Wave Emiter, Hypno Wave, Tranq Bomb, Stun Grenade, Smoke Grenade, Slug Bomb, Quick Attack.

800 gold, 700SP, we'll take it.
Quest reward: 700 gold, 30 Scrap Metal. Next!
Tunnel + Fork
Off we go, to the next big town. Familiar set of monsters here, so let's make this quick.

TUNNEL
Things of note:
Chest: Dirk I (Ailments last longer, great for Trickster Lina.)
Chest: Pet Hat 4

FORK
Pass through Fork, which was three empty rooms for me. Something can be found here in a bit and then again waaaay later in the game. Just pass through for now, and into Port Breeze. Pick up the Slimy quest at the Tavern and head back to Fork, which now DOES have something of interest.
WANTED: "Slimy" = Queen Slime @ Fork
Straight line, boss at exit.

Boss: Queen Slime - 7000HP. She didn't get a single turn in for me.
Phase 1 (#081) - 2800HP
=Fire I, Water I, Lightning I, Earth I
=Resistant to ailments and StatDown

Phase 2 (#082) - 4200
=Identical, but angry and about 10% stronger ATK- and MAG-wise.

1050 Gold, 1200SP + 700 Gold, 20 Scrap Metal.
A brief stop in Port Breeze
Few new items in the shop, and most importantly, the ability to buy Scrap Metal at 100G each, giving us something decent to spend money on and a direct way to get 99 scrap at a time quick.

Skeleton Defense is a ways away, so we won't bother with that yet. Grab the Web Swing quest and head to the Abandoned Sewer, east of town.
WANTED: "Web Swing" = Spider King @ Abandoned Sewer
Only one floor, but a new area often means new enemies and this time is no different.

#060 - Cave Spider
=Web
=Weak to Fire, Phys (120%); Resists Water, Earth (80%)

#064 - Swamp Turtle
=Impale, Stampede
=Weak vs. Wind (175%), Fire (125%); Resists Earth, Phys (50%), Water (25%)
=Strong vs. Stun

#066 - Werewolf (Another ordinary doggo)

#067 - Swamp Crab
=Crab Claw
=Weak to Fire, Wind (140%), Earth (125%)

#068 - Poison Frog
=Lick, Poison All
=Weak vs. Wind (175%), Fire (125%); Resists Earth (25%); Immune to Water
=Strong vs. Confuse

#072 - Imp
=Weak to Water (150%); Heals Fire (-50%)

Things of note:
=Pet Mouth 6

Boss: Spider King - 8120HP
Phase 1 (#083) - 3920HP
=Web, Bite
=Weak to Fire, Phys (120%); Strong vs. Water, Earth (80%)
=The usual boss resists

Phase 2 (#084) - 4200HP
=Gains Poison All and 40% ATK/MAG.

700 Gold, 1680SP + 700 Gold, Dice I. Nice find as it improves drop rate, steal rate and flee rate. If you're running a Steal/Pilfer build, you'll want this. Back to Port Breeze.
WANTED: "Job Search" - Skeleton King @ Fork River
Heal, SP, Save. Grab the Job Search Wanted quest from the Tavern in Port Breeze and head east, past Abandoned Sewer. You can see Skeleton Defense from here, but we're not bothered about that right now.

#062 - Brownie (Just an ordinary gobbo)

#065 - Blood Orc
=Bash
=Strong vs. Stun

#070 - Sprout
=Pollen, Regen
=Weak to Fire (200%); Resists Wind (50%); Immune to Earth; Heals Water (-50%)
=Strong vs. Poison

Things of note:
=Emerald - These gemstones are evolution items. Quite rare at this point, so the more, the merrier.
=Pet Hat 6

Boss: Skeleton King - 8400HP
Phase 1 (#085) - 3500HP
=Double Attack
=The usual boss resists

Phase 2 (#086) - 4900HP
=Gains Blind

900 Gold, 1800SP.
Port Breeze + Spider Cave
A new BOSS battle has unlocked in the Battle Arena, "Royalty". This is the three WANTEDs we've just hunted, but all at once. Bit troublesome, as they do a lot of damage and can 100-0 most party members if they get focused. With a little bit of strategizing, should be doable, but if it's not working out, feel free to come back for these guys later. They give a relatively massive SP boost, so it's worth a try.

[ACHIEVEMENT: Royalty - Battle Arena]

Alright, cleanup done. Heal, spend SP an Scrap Metal, save. Might even get to upgrade your first gear using the gemstones we've been hoarding! With the WANTEDs out of the way, grab the Skeleton Defense quest and head south, past Fork to Spider Cave.

SPIDER CAVE
New enemies! Fairly tame compared to that last battle.

#059 - Spiderling
=Web
=Weak to Fire, Phys (120%); Strong to Water, Earth (80%)

#061 - Mothy
=Sting, Attack Up
=Weak to Fire, Wind (150%), Water (120%); immune to Earth
=Strong vs. Silence, Resists Poison

Things of note:
=Pet Body 5

You might encounter the Charge mechanic if you've upgraded a weapon to Tier 2. This makes a character skip their turn to charge a particularly powerful attack, which comes in three tiers. Each tier for each character is an achievement. I'll denote the first set. Second and third set come later, with Tier 3 and Tier 4 weapons respectively.

[ACHIEVEMENT: Dragon's Roar - Used D's Dragon's Roar]
[ACHIEVEMENT: Cursed Dagger - Used Lina's Cursed Dagger]
[ACHIEVEMENT: Sniper - Used Mari's Snipe]
[ACHIEVEMENT: Rend - Used Kaz's Rend]

On to the Barrens.
Barrens + Fish + Swamp
Another 1-floor dungeon.

BARRENS
#063 - Twig (looks like the Ent)
=Poison
=Weak to Fire (200%); Heals Earth (-50%)
=Strong vs. Poison

Things of note:
=Pet Eyes 5
=Hackpick chest - Giant Cannon I, Cure Potion

FISH
Exit. You can fish to the east after you clear Barrens, which means more rares.
=Carp Dime
=Princess Jelly
=Pet Accessory 5.

Onwards to Swamp, yet another single floor dungeon. We're making steady progress, though, and all of these enemies will be familiar.

SWAMP
Things of note:
=Pet Mouth 5
Dead Forest + Bog
Next! Dead Forest. Single floor, no new enemies, but it has a boss.

DEAD FOREST
Things of note:
=Hackpick-chest - Demoncutter I, SPD Flask
=Pet Hat 5

Boss: Giant Lotus - 3510+4680=8190HP
Phase 1 (#073) - 3510HP
=Spores, Poison Tentacles
=Weak to Fire (150%); Strong to Wind (50%); Immune to Earth; Heals from Water
=Strong vs. All;

Phase 2 (#074) - 4680HP
=Gains Blind
=No longer immune but instead resists Statdown and ailments

500 gold, 1520SP. Weed deleted. The dungeon crawl continues, almost done!

BOG
New enemies!

#069 (Nice.) - Lamia
=Bite, Stone
=Strong vs. Confuse

#075 - Evil Skeleton
=Double Attack

#076 - Evil Skeleton Archer (Ordinary skelly)

#077 - Succubus
=Charm, Lullaby, Armor Down
=Weak to Water (150%), Wind (120%); Heals Fire (-50%)

Things of note:
=Pet Body 6
Necropolis + Skeleton Defense I&II
Last dungeon of the chain. It's a big one.
NECROPOLIS
New enemies.

#071 - Cerberus (Another ordinary doggo, this is definitely a trend)

#078 - Evil Skeleton Prime
=Double Attack

#079 - Minotaur
=Cleave, Double Attack, Flame Wall I
=Weak to Water (150%), Wind (120%); Heals from Fire (-50%)
=Strong vs. Stun

Things of note:
1F - Pet Eyes 6
2F - Stat SPD
3F Hackpick-chest - Frostblade I, Amethyst

3F
Boss: Sylandra #080 - 7000HP
=Bite, Stone, Lovesick
=The usual boss resists
650gold, 1520SP

SKELETON DEFENSE
Skeleton Defense is the same as Zombie and Mummy Defense was, just more HP.
Skeleton Defense I - 600 gold, Pet Accessory 6

Head back to Port Breeze. You should have gathered a ton of SP by now, so make sure to spend it while we're here, if you haven't already. Then grab Skeleton Defense II and do that too.

Skeleton Defense II - 700 gold, Last MAG.

PORT BREEZE
Head back and grab the Magic Wand quest. There's a new MONS battle in the Battle Arena, "Swamp Stalkers", so we'll clear that too before we head out. If you want to do some farming, this battle gives a pretty 7200SP per clear, along with a bunch of loot and Scrap.

[ACHIEVEMENT: Swamp Stalkers - Battle Arena]
[ACHIEVEMENT: Chapter III - Complete Chapter III]

=CHAPTER 4: Edge Forest
I decided to farm Swamp Stalkers until I unlocked skill tree #8, but you can do more or less of that. If you're struggling against some enemies, or feel like your party could use a little bit more oomph, I suggest you do the same. It's also a great source of income for gold and scrap metal. Using abilities such as Cleave, or magic that targets all foes is a great way to clear it quick, as it's generally enough to one-shot all four at once, resetting their turn order, essentially ensuring you go the whole fight without any of the enemies ever getting a turn, practically getting the rewards for free. At this point, I had everyone's weapons to tier 2, as well as most accessories (gauntlets, boots, amulet). They go to 11 then evolve to next tier, level 1. The Emeralds and Amethysts we'vve been coming across are used as catalysts here.

Once you're ready to head out, go through the usual steps and then head back in the direction of Necropolis, heading east from Spider Cave. No enemies, just stat potions and... oh, it's her again.

Things of note:
=Stat MAG
=Stat ATK
=Stat MP

Boss: Koohii (#215) - 6300HP
=Burst All, Bio Vile, Tranq Bomb, Stun Grenade, Waver Emiter, Hypno Wave, Smoke Grenade, Slug Bomb, Quick Attack
=Standard boss resists

Mostly a big bag of health that stacks debuffs, so keep your healer in good shape and your damage dealers dealing. Shouldn't be too much trouble with the stats you've got.

1250 gold, 3000SP
Quest reward: 900 gold, 40 Scrap Metal

That's the questing for Port Breeze done, time to move on with the story. Next port of call is Earth Shrine.
Earth Shrine + Crystal Bridge + Crystalia
Head around the lake, in the direction of Necropolis, but head west before you get there. Enter Earth Shrine. This one will be quick.

EARTH SHRINE
Things of note:
=Blue chest - LOCKED (As a reminder, these unlock after the main story completes, so we'll move this to postgame)

And back towards Port Breeze we go. Heal, SP, Save while you're there, then head north towards Crystal Bridge, another linear dungeon. No new enemies here, but we have two returning ones.

CRYSTAL BRIDGE
#095 - Bolt
=Weak to Wind (150%), Resists Earth (50%)

#103 - Mugger
=Quicken, Burst, Quick Attack

Bridge cleared, let's head into the floating town: Crystalia

CRYSTALIA
The shop has a few new weapons, as well as Emeralds and Amethysts for sale at 1k gold each. Additionally, it has a MISC tab, which sells a few passive upgrades for something we'll encounter soon. Buy 1 of each if you can (39k gold total, if you don't have it or don't want to, you can leave this be for now) and then head back out.

Party is D and Phoebe now, so let's get that sorted out and our other friends back. Light Tower, to the west of town.
Light Tower + Lakeside
LIGHT TOWER
Multi-floor dungeon. 2x2 floorplan.

New enemies:
#089 - Gnoll (Another ordinary... doggo? Gnollo?)

Things of note:
1F Blue Chest - LOCKED
2F - Pet Body 7
3F - Plate II

Boss: Rock - 3600HP
Phase 1 - 1600HP
=Impale

Phase 2 - 2000HP
=Slightly faster
1020 gold, 3500SP

Back to Crystalia, Phoebe leaves the party. Don't worry about quests until we get everyone back, we'll get back to questing in Ch V. Heal, SP, Save, then leave for Lakeside, to the east.

LAKESIDE
Things of note:
=Blue chest - LOCKED
=Pet Eyes 7

Boss: Reuben (#094) - 2200HP
=Water I, Regen
He got 1 hit in on me, at 114HP left.
720 gold, 3000SP.
Reuben joins the party.

FISHING
Do some fishing to the north.
=Angel Fish
=Super Fish
=Pet Accessory 7.
I caught Super Fish first, for some reason. Leave the fishing area and enter Green Pass. Mari and Kaz rejoin, Lina is still missing.
Green Pass
The SP you've earned since you lost your party members should still be added to them, so spend that before you do anything else.

Things of note:
=Hackpick chest, even though Lina isn't with us - Thunderwing I
=Pet Mouth 7

New enemies:
#090 - Seedling
=Pollen, Regen
=Weak to Fire (200%); Resists Wind (50%); Immune to Earth; Heals Water (-50%)
=Strong vs. Poison

#093 - Chimera
=Lightning I, STorm I
=Weak to Water (150%); Resists Wind (75%), Earth (50%)

#096 - Harpy
=Wing Sweep, Silence, Large Talon
=Weak to Wind (150%); Resists Earth (50%)

#097 - SASQUASH
=Weak to Earth (120%); Resists Wind (75%)

#101 - Samurai
=Cleave, Blink, Lightning I
=Weak to Earth, Water (125%); Resists Wind, Fire (75%)
=Strong vs. Stun

You can do the WANTED quest you picked up earlier now, if you want, and there's another quest too, but I'm holding off on that until I get my party back. Head to Mountain Cave.
Mountain Cave
New enemies:
#098 - Wind Slime
=Lightning Attack
=Weak to Earth (200%); Immune to Wind

#099 - Whip
=Sting
=Weak to Water, Wind (125%); Resists Fire, Earth (75%)

#100 - Wyvern
=Lightning I, Fire I
=Weak to Wind (150%); Resists Earth (50%)

#102 - Giant Worm
=Earth I, Quake I
=Weak to Earth (150%), Phys (125%); Resists Wind (50%)
=Strong vs. Stun

Things of note:
=Topaz (The third gemstone, if you've not found any already. Not going to mention any other Topaz)
=Aquamarine (Fourth gemstone, same)
=Pet Hat 7
=Start MAG

Heal, SP, Save, next.
Cliffside
My characters have made it to skill tree #9 by now, their first Tier 5 one. You can always do a little extra farming for SP and Scrap Metal. Again, you can do as much or as little farming as you like, but unless you're breezing through the game and swimming in Scrap Metal, it's a good way to make all that's still coming a little easier.

Head of out town, and to an area called Cliffside. It's a pretty big area, but nothing too difficult.

New enemies:
#104 - Scavenger
=Large Talon, Wing Sweep
=Resists Water, Earth (50%)

#105 - Wind Golem
=Slow, Quicken, Lightning I, Sotrm I
=Weak to Earth (200%); Resists Phys (75%), Water (50%); Immune to Fire; Heals Wind (-100%)
=Strong vs. Stun

=Pet Body 8
=Hack-pick chest - Wind Pistol I

Boss: BOP - 11500HP
Phase 1 (#107) - 4600HP
=Lightning I, Fire I, Earth I, Water I

Phase 2 (#108) - 6900HP
=Gains ~10% stats

The bosses are getting beefier, but your damage should also be more significant by this point, so it's all good. You've fought this guy before, as well. Reuben's not as useful as Lina, but he does know Barrage, so he can help stunlock this guy. He's not weak or strong to anything, so just hit him hard and often. Once again, in my run, he didn't get a single turn.
980 Gold, 5400SP. Nice, we'll take it. Head back to town, Heal/SP/Save, and onto Highlands.
Highlands + Wind Tower
Another single-floor dungeon, you know how this goes.

HIGHLANDS
New enemy:
#106 - Rabid Wolf (You guessed it, another ordinary doggo)

=Pet Eyes 8

Head back to town, Heal/SP/Save, let's get Lina back. Head to Wind Tower. This is another 2x2 multi-floor area. Straight to the boss.

WIND TOWER
New enemy:
#109 - Gore
=Cleave, Double Attack
=Weak to Water (150%), Wind (120%); Heals Fire (-50%)
=Strong vs. Stun

Things of note:
1F Blue chest - LOCKED
3F - Pet Mouth 8
4F - Start ATK
6F Hackpick Chest - Doomslayer I

7F Boss - Witch Rita (#110), 12000HP
=Fire I, Earth I, Water I, Flame Wall I, Quake I, Storm I, Lullaby, Fire II, Lightning II, Water II.
=No weaknesses, the usual boss resists: Strong vs. Silence, Confuse, Sleep, Stun, Blind; Resists ATKDown, MAGDown, DEFDown, MDEFDown, SPDDown

The healthiest boss yet. She's not immune to stun, so if you can land one, that's precious extra time. Spirit Up All on my Mari really helped mitigate some of her magic damage, which is chonky. Keep Reuben on Barrage duty and if your Kaz knows Quicken like mine did, he's a great replacement for my Lina, who usually handles the Haste-ing. D and Kaz can Berserk themselves, which not only boosts their SPD, but their ATK and MAG as well.

1200 Gold, 5500SP, Accessory Slot 3 unlocked. Two cutscenes play, goodbye Reuben and welcome back Lina.

[ACHIEVEMENT: CHAPTER IV - Complete Chapter IV]
=CHAPTER 5 - Catch-up and clean-up
First order of business is spending SP, specifically on Lina, who's been accumulating every bit of SP you earned since she last left the party. She had close to 100k SP saved up on my run when I got her back.

Now that the whole gang is back together, let's do some clean-up. The Battle Arena has a new MONS battle, "Highlands Flyers", so you know what that means! At this point, you should have several AoE skills. Cleave gets replaced by Shockwave and Mari can exploit elemental weaknesses. Your Lina might know Quicken All (Thief V) by now, which helps the Haste-ing tremendously.

I counted at least six new enemies, but they apparently only register when you encounter them in the wild, so I won't mention them here. 7000 Gold and 18000 SP per clear, oh yes baby. Clear this as many times as you like. It should get you to skill tree #10 easily.

[ACHIEVEMENT: HIGHLAND FLYERS - Battle Arena]

Due to the classes I've picked and the progress they've made, I had unlocked three of the six related achievements at this point:
[ACHIEVEMENT: Slayers Crystal - Completed Slayer tree]
[ACHIEVEMENT: Thief Crystal - Completed Thief tree]
[ACHIEVEMENT: Mage Crystal - Completed Mage tree]

Equip a 3rd Accessory. This can be anything, really, and you'll have collected a few by now. Assign stuff depending on what you feel you might need, but make sure they're compatible. For example, Circlet and Gauntlet/Amulet/Boots are not and equipping either will unequip the other. Spend some Gold on Scrap Metal (I bought an additional 800 or so) to upgrade your main weapons, too. On my end, it ended up looking like this:

D: Evoblade III (Lv 1); Gauntlets II (Lv 1) / Boots II (Lv 1) / Start Strength (Lv 1)
Lina: Light III (Lv 1); Gauntlets II (Lv 1) / Boots II (Lv 1) / Start Agility (Lv 1)
Mari: Rune Shifter III (Lv 1); Amulet II (Lv 1) / Boots II (Lv 1) / Start Widsom (Lv 1)
Kaz: Deathscythe III (Lv 1); Circlet I (Lv 1) / Monocle (Lv 1) / Dice (Lv 1)

As always. I encourage you to vary and experiment to figure out what works best for your party. Weapons and armor, though weapons are more easily leveled at the end of the game, so sticking to one you got early and just upgraded as you went along might work best.

Grab the "Unwanted Nest" quest from the Castle, as that's the closest to Crystalia, so that's the one we'll tackle first.
WANTED: "Unwanted Nest" - Bird King @ Light Tower
We've cleared this one before, so nothing new. We'll get to backtrack to open the blue chests in postgame, after the end of this chapter, which is the last one for the main story. For now, just quickly fight your way up to the boss room where you fought Rock, on 3F.

Boss: Bird King - 11500HP
Phase 1 (#118) - 5750HP
=Lightning I, Large Talon, Storm I
=Weak to Wind (150%); Resists Earth (50%)
=The usual boss resists

Phase 2 (#119) - 5750HP
=Gains Wing Sweep, +~10% SPD

With D and Kaz on Barrage duty, a Poison and a Quicken All from Lina, and Mari on the heals and the damage, this one should not pose much of a challenge.
Boss reward: 1050 Gold, 4200SP.
Quest reward: 800 Gold, Stat ATK.
WANTED: "Underground" - Eartheater @ Hidden Cavern
Head back to Crystalia, nab the "Underground" quest at Castle, and head out east to Mountain Cave, then east again to arrive at Hidden Cavern.

New enemies:
Wild Boar
=Roar, Attack Up
=Weak to Earth (125%)

BOSS: Eartheater - 14950HP
=Eart I, Quake I
=Weak to Earth (150%), Phys (125%); Resists Wind (50%)
=The usual boss resists

Quest reward: 800 Gold, Stat HP
WANTED: "Volcano" - Djinnie @ Volcano
Grab this quest from the Castle in Crystalia, then head north through Great Plains, and east into Volcano.

New enemies:
#113 - Fiend
=Weak to Water (150%); Heals from Fire (-50%)

#114 - Fire Wisp
=Fire I, Magic Up, Armor Up, Flame Wall I

=Weak to Water (125%)

Things of note:
1F - Pet Hat 8

3F Boss: Djinnie - 16100HP
=Fire I, Fire Attack, Burst, Flame Wall I
=Weak to Water (125%); Heals Fire (-50%)
=The usual boss resists
Quest Reward: 800 Gold, Guard Coupon (Another Misc item for an upcoming minigame.)
Golem Defense I&II + Shoreline
You know this one by now. Starts in Crystalia Castle. Match-3, north of Volcano.

Golem Defense I reward: 500 Gold, Pet Accessory 8
Golem Defense II reward: 600 Gold, Mirror

At this point, seeing as your weapons have reached tier 3, you can charge twice before unleashing your special, allowing for an even stronger variant. Each of the characters has one achievement associated with it. I'll mention them here, but you can really do them at any time. It's just easier here since all you'll encounter before the boss are the green slimes you fought when you just started. Have one character charge and the rest skip turns until they're ready to use it.

[ACHIEVEMENT: Dragon's Breath - Used D's Dragon's Breath]
[ACHIEVEMENT: Lucky Strike - Used Lina's Lucky Strike]
[ACHIEVEMENT: Magic Bullet - Used Mari's Magic Bullet]
[ACHIEVEMENT: Hurricane - Used Kaz's Hurricane]

Grab the "Boat Rudder" quest next and head west (Light Tower), then north to...

SHORELINE
Things of note:
=Stat MP
=Stat SPD
=Stat HP

Another Koohii fight coming up. Between Lina's Quicken All/Poison, D and Kaz's Barrage, and Mari's magic nukes, shouldn't be too much of a hassle.

Boss: Koohii (#216) - 11500HP.
=Wave Emiter, Hypno Wave, Smoke grenade, Slug Bomb, Bio Vile, Tranq Bomb, Stun Grenade
=No strengths or weaknesses, and the usual boss resists

Boss reward: 2100 Gold, 9000SP
Quest reward: 1000 Gold, 50 Scrap Metal
Crystalia
Depending on how easy the fights feel, this might be a good time to farm "Highland Flyers" in the MONS part of the Battle Arena for a bit. Even with an inn stay after every round, it nets you with 6950 gold and 18k SP per clear. Nothing to sneeze at. Clearing your 10th skilltree allows you to pick a new one, starting at Tier 1. This means you've maxed their main classes and the rest is mostly for the stat nodes. I'm just starting at the top and going down the list until everyone has them all from this point, keeping their main stat in mind, but there are three achievements we've now ticked off.

[ACHIEVEMENT: Guardian Crystal - Completed Guardian tree]
[ACHIEVEMENT: Trickster Crystal - Completed Trickster tree]
[ACHIEVEMENT: Healer Crystal - Completed Healer tree]

The Battle Arena has a new BOSS battle. Bird King, Djinnie and Eartheater, all at once. You can do this now or keep it for later. I managed to clear it at this point (skill tree #11) so I'll tick it off the list. Try bursting down Bird King first, as he has the least HP, making it a double bossfight, rather than a triple. The other two don't have a phase 2.

[ACHIEVEMENT: Earth, Wind and Fire - Battle Arena]

I did a bit more farming to bolster my stats and equipment, which will hopefully save me some time in the postgame. Off to Great Plains.
Great Plains + Mercenary Defense + Ice Pass
GREAT PLAINS
One floor, no new enemies. We'll make this quick.

Things of note:
=Last SPD
=Kalis I
=Stat SPD

MERCENARY DEFENSE
Mercenary Defense is a defense minigame. Think Plants vs.Zombies. The coupons you bought earlier (and the one you found) upgrade your units. You buy units and they attack enemy units as they come in, which give gold when they die. You'll find a few more coupons further down the line, but they won't make much of a difference for the early levels here.

First two levels can be cheesed with just fire mages covering all three approach lanes.
Lv1 Reward: Miner Coupon, 20 Scrap Metal.
LV2 Reward: Ice Coupon, 20 Scrap Metal, 1 Topaz.

Lv3 and onward starts to get a bit more difficult with the introduction of flying units. I managed to *barely* win this with 4 miners and 7 upgraded fire mages.

If exploits are your thing, you can move a unit back to any spot in the build area, and build an extra unit before the first arrives, allowing for two units in the same space. Moving either will turn them back to normal, each occupying their own spot.
Just going to list the rewards as I brute-forced my way through with more difficulty than I'm willing to admit. What I will admit is that I am very bad at this minigame.

Lv3 Reward: Start SPD, 20 Scrap Metal, 1 Amethyst
Lv4 Reward: Booster, 50 Scrap Metal
Lv5 Reward: Last Regen, Stat ALL
Lv6 Reward: SP Ring, Stat ALL
Lv7 Reward: Ruby

[ACHIEVEMENT: Tactician - Won all Mercenary Defense]

Extra level can be farmed for random rewards, but is not needed for the achievement.

ICE PASS
Short, single-floor dungeon. Bunch of new enemies here, which will allow us to put all that farming to good use. You should be faster and stronger than these enemies, allowing for a sweep before they even get a turn in most cases.

#122 - Cold Slime
=Water I
=Weak to Fire (200%); Immune to Earth

#123 - Ice Gnoll (ordinary doggo)

#124 - Frost Bat
=Silence, Drain
=Weak to Fire, Wind (150%); Immune to Earth
=Strong vs. Blind

#125 - Alkonost
=Wing Sweep, Silence, Large Talon, Confuse
=Weak to Wind (150%); Resists Earth (50%)

Things of note:
=Laststand I
=Pet Body 9

Back to town, heal-SP-save, and on to the next.
Snow + Warm Yeti
Another single-floor dungeon.

New enemies:
#126 - Ice Goblin (an ordinary gobbo)

#127 - Frost Chimera
=Water I, Blizzard I
=Weak to Wind (150%); Resists Water, Earth (50%)

Things of note:
=Hackpick-chest: Bisu I (A high ATK dagger, so if Lina is your burst DPS this is a big find.)
=Pet Eyes 9

Welcome to Warm Yeti, the next (and I do believe last) village. Content-wise, there's not much here that we haven't seen already, with the exception of a new Wanted quest and the final Defense mission. Yeti Defense is out of reach for now, so grab the "Lost Cat" quest before heading out.
WANTED: "Lost Cat" - Adorable Snowman @ Icy Cave
Grab this in Warm Yeti. Go east from there, then south at Icy Forest to arrive at Icy Cave.

New enemies:
#128 - Frost Spiderling
=Web
=Weak to Fire, Phys (120%); Resists Water, Earth (80%)

#129 - Frost Widow
=Web
=Weak to Fire, Phys (120%); Resists Water, Earth (80%)

#130 - YETI
=Weak to Earth (120%); Resists Wind (75%)

#132 - Kunekune
=Roar, Attack Up
=Weak to Earth (125%)

Things of note:
=Pet Mouth 9

Boss - Adorable Snowman (19500 HP)
=Armor Down

With my D and Kaz on Barrage duty, a Quicken All into Poison spam by Lina, and Mari chunking it with Fire II for 3000 damage per hit, this was nothing I couldn't handle.

Boss reward: 1440 Gold, 10000 SP
Quest reward: 900 Gold, Stat HP
Icy Forest + Yeti Defense I&II
With the Wanted quest out of the way, grab the Yeti Defense quest and head into Icy Forest.

ICY FOREST
Fairly large dungeon, even though it only has one floor.

New enemy:
#131 - Froezen
=Water I, Blizzard I
=Weak to Wind (150%); Resists Water, Earth (50%)

Things of note:
=Hackpick-chest (14): Hyper Blaster I
=Pet Hat 9

YETI DEFENSE I&II
Skip entering Frost Fort for now and head south from there instead. These will be the hardest of the Defense missions, but if you keep matching the gems quickly, you'll automatically win eventually. If you're struggling, try matching 4s and 5s, as that does more damage. Matching things lower on the board has a bigger chance of everything above it cascading into a combo.
Yeti Defense I Reward: 600 Gold, Start DEF
Head back to Warm Yeti and grab #2.
Yeti Defense II Reward: 700 Gold, Elixir Brew II

[ACHIEVEMENT: Defense - Defense Completion 10/10]
Frost Fort + Snowboard
FROST FORT
The final dungeon of the story, or is it... New enemies:

#133 - Shirtless Wolf (ordinary doggo)

#134 - Frost Samurai
=Cleave, Blink, Water I, Frost Nova
=Weak to Earth, Wind (125%); Resists Fire, Water (75%)
=Strong vs. Stun

#135 - BAO
=Cleave, Double Attack
=Weak to Water (150%), Wind (120%); Heals from Fire (-50%)
=Strong vs. Stun

#136 - Water Elemental
=Magic Up, Water I
=Weak to Wind (150%), Earth (125%); Resists Phys (75%); Immune to Fire; Heals from Water (-100%)
=Strong vs. Stun

Things of note:
1F - Blue Chest (last one until we can backtrack them all, leave for now)
1F - Stat SPD
2F - Trinket II
3F - Hackpick chest: Imphowl I & "[Shop] Neck Tie", which lowers prices in shops!
3F - Pet Accessory 9

This was your 15th hackpick chest, if you've gotten them all so far, so that's another achievement, yay!
[ACHIEVEMENT: Hackpicker - Hackpicked chests 15/15]

3F Boss: #140 - Koras - 21000HP
=Magic Up, Spirit Up, Water I, Frost Nova, Debuff
=Weak to Wind (150%), Earth (125%); Resists Phys (75%); Immune to Fire; Heals from Water (-100%)
=The usual boss resists

Bit of a menace as she's fast and I didn't manage to make a single stun stick, but we're pretty overpowered at this point, so again, shouldn't be that much of a challenge.
1440 Gold, 8400 SP

This unlocks the Snowboard minigame north of Warm Yeti, which has another achievement tied to it, so head back and over there! It's basically the old school skiing game Ski Free, except we're doding trees and yetis, while grabbing coins and ramps. The achievement is for getting a Gold Medal-time on Track 3, meaning you can finish the tutorial Track 1 and go straight into 3, but each Gold Medal gives a reward. Not sure what the time to beat is, but I managed it on my 2nd try.

The track is the same every time. Try minimizing side movement (so no going from one side of the screen to the other for a single tree) and make sure to grab coins and ramps.

Track 1 Gold (290 distance): 1:02:37; Elixir II
Track 2 Gold (360 distance): 1:11:63; [Shop] Gold Paint (increases sell prices when you sell to shops)
Track 3 Gold (380 distance): 1:17:43; Ruby + Achievement

[ACHIEVEMENT: Snowboard Extreme - Get Gold on Track 3]
WANTED: "Lost Dog" - Wolf King @ Harpy Forest
Grab the quest in the Warm Yeti tavern and head to east of Frost Fort, into Harpy Forest. No new enemies or things of note.

Boss: Wolf King - 19500HP
#144 - Wolf King (9600HP)
=Berserk
=The usual boss resists

#145 - Wolf King (9900HP)
Identical to #144 (but slightly faster)

Same strat as always. Quicken all, Barrage and magical nukes.
Didn't even get a turn. Down, boy.

Boss reward: 1520 Gold, 8800 SP
Quest reward: 900 gold, Stat MP
WANTED: "Lost Robot" - Samurai King @ Snow
We've cleared this dungeon before, so it's straight to the boss.

Boss: Samurai King - 9000+9000=18000HP
#142 - Samurai King (9000HP)
=Water I, Lightning I, Frost Nova
=Weak to Wind (125%); Resists Water (75%)
=The usual boss resists

#143 - Samurai King (9000HP)
=Identical to #142, just slightly faster

Boss reward: 1920 Gold, 8000 SP
Quest reward: 900 Gold, Stat SPD, Healer Coupon

And as this was our final bounty hunt, we get an achievement for our trouble.

[ACHIEVEMENT: Wanted - Wanted Completed 15/15]
Warm Yeti + Aurora Island
BATTLE ARENA
Before you leave, there's a new BOSS battle in the Battle Arena. "The Big 3" is Adorable Snowman, Samurai King and Wolf King at once. You can do it now, or come back later, but I'll assume you've defeated them like I did. No real strategy here, though I opted to take out Snowman first. He's weak to Earth, so Mari's Quake III did a whopping 4k damage. Shockwave to hit all and proc stun.

[ACHIEVEMENT: The Big 3 - Battle Arena]

AURORA ISLAND
New enemies:
#137 - Birdie (An ordinary feathered fren)

#138 - Highguard
=Entomb

#139 - Skywind
=Slow, Quicken, Lightning I, Storm I
=Weak to Earth (200%); Resists Phys (75%), Water (50%); Immune to Fire; Heals from Wind (-100%)
=Strong vs. Stun

Boss: #146 - Witch Rita - 27000HP
=Debuff, Fire I, Water I, Quake I, Storm I, Fire II, Lightning II, Earth II, Water II
=The usual boss resists

Same strat as always. Quicken All, Barrage and magic nukes. Didn't have much trouble with her, but then again, I'm on my 17th skill tree at this point.
Reward: 2400 Gold, 12000SP. Onwards!
Abyss + Blue chests
New MONS battle, which means farming can be done! It's the Snowy Chillers, the last group of the main game. Quicken All into multi-hit moves like Shockwave and Flame Wall II should make quick work of them with minimal effort. 8000 Gold and 24000SP per clear, with a bunch of loot on top.

[ACHIEVEMENT: Snowy Chillers - Battle Arena]

ABYSS, part 1
First chest you find should have a Skeleton Key in it. This is the item you need to open the blue chests we've had to walk past. These contain powerful cards for the card battle minigame. There's more blue chests we'll run into later and you'll find them somewhere on the first (or only) floor of the dungeon if it has one. As a refresher, the ones we've found so far (in backtracking order) are:

  • Frost Fort = Koras (17/12 Water)
  • Light Tower = Rock (8/20 Earth)
  • Lakeside = Bop (19/9 Fire)
  • Wind Tower = Namina (13/16 Air)
  • Earth Shrine = Ororra (5/24 Earth)
  • Great Tomb = Malloc (20/9 Fire)

I'll go into the card battle minigame later. You can go and grab these immediately, or later, if you want. If not, continue into Abyss.

ABYSS, part 2
Welcome back, where were we?

2F Boss: Dargon King - 12000+15000+21000=a whopping 48000HP
This is your toughest fight yet, so don't be afraid to do some bonus farming. I was halfway into skill tree 17 and this was a pretty close fight.

Three phases with a ton of health each. Hit fast, hit hard, keep your healer alive. He's tough, but not immortal. Don't be afraid to use high end items such as Elixir Brew I/II or Full Revive, if you've kept them saved up. Now is the time.

Rend is a high damage, single-target attack which leaves its target poisoned. Dargon Claw is the same, but multi-hit and leaves them silenced. Neither holds a candle compared to Judgement, which leaves all characters on very low hp and clears almost all buffs. The only saving grace is that it has a massive cooldown, so you might get two Heal Alls in before he gets another turn.

#147 - Dargon King (Phase 1, 12000 HP)
=Roar, Rend, Dargon Claw, Slow All, Silence
=The usual resists, though it seemed significantly closer to immune than most bosses

#148 - Dargon King (Phase 2, 15000 HP)
=Judgement, Dargon Claw, Slow All, Silence, Blind All, Poison All

#149 - Dargon King (Phase 3, 21000 HP)
=Rend, Frost Nova, Flame Eater, Judgement, Dargon Claw

4000 Gold, 20000SP. A bit meager as far as rewards go, but that completes Chapter V.

[ACHIEVEMENT: Chapter V - Completed Chapter V]
=CHAPTER 6: Postgame & 100%ing
If you've played the flash game version of this before, this is where the story ends. However, this guide is for the Steam version, so we'll continue a little longer. There's a bunch of content that has just unlocked, and we've also kept a few things for last. The point of this guide was originally to cover the main game, since there's already older and better guides out there, but since we came all this way I decided to finish the rest of it too.

Everything from here on out will be part of Chapter VI. The new content includes, but is not limited to:

  • A new set of Wanted quests, the Wanted X.
  • New MONS and BOSS battles in the Battle Arena.
  • New dungeons with bosses that make the Dargon King pale in comparison.

There are still a number of ways to get stronger. Farming the Battle Arena's old, then new MONS quests being top of the list. You'll want every skilltree maxed on everyone, meaning 30 skill trees to complete in total, per character (6 classes x 5 tiers, minus all the ones you've done already). After that, you can stop worrying about SP altogehter and instead keep an eye out for the Stat ATK/MAG/SPD/HP/MP potions and use these as you see fit.
Additionally, you'll want to max out gear on your team. I'm talking max evolved, max level weapons. This may mean maxing out multiple weapons per character, depending on fighting style. On top of all that there is combining the items you have into stronger ones, like Full Armor and Start All. If you're missing items to craft with, most things can either be stolen with Steal/Pilfer (equip Dice!) or bought.

Part of this is getting your weapons to Tier 4, meaning with your CHG at 3, you can unleash the highest tier of special attack after charging enough times. Again, every character has one. I'll mention the achievements here.

[ACHIEVEMENT: Dragon's Rage - Used D's Dragon's Rage]
[ACHIEVEMENT: Cyclone Dance - Used Lina's Cyclone Dance]
[ACHIEVEMENT: Trigger Happy - Used Mari's Trigger Happy]
[ACHIEVEMENT: Death's Gate - Used Kaz's Death's Gate]
Fishing
With the advent of the new dungeons, there's a new fishing spot as well. West of Crystalia and further west still of Light Tower, that is where you will find the last six rares.

1. Mega Shark
2. Carp Dime
3. Super Fish
4. Pet Hat 10
5. Pet Accessory 10
6. Sapphire

[ACHIEVEMENT: Fisherman - Fished all Rares: 18/18]
Battle Arena X
MONS
These will be a mix of old and new monsters, the old ones having their basic stats, but the new ones being significantly stronger. Each battle has an achievement tied to it. Fight your way up to X Snowy Chillers (or the highest one you can comfortably clear) and let the SP/Gold/StatPotion farming commence.

[ACHIEVEMENT: X Small Town Gang - Battle Arena]
[ACHIEVEMENT: X Desert Crawlers - Battle Arena]
[ACHIEVEMENT: X Swamp Stalkers - Battle Arena]
[ACHIEVEMENT: X Highlands Flyers - Battle Arena]
[ACHIEVEMENT: X Snowy Chillers - Battle Arena]

BOSS
These start out locked. It's the Wanted X targets, three at a time. It's difficult, but can definitely be done. The game does not have achievements for this and neither does Steam, but if you're going for true 100%, these are part of it.
Node farming/SP maxing
The quickest way, by far, to farm SP is clearing "[X] Snowy Chillers" over and over again. With a whopping 48000 SP per clear, you'll be maxing out the skill trees in no time, allowing you to pick up a ton of tiny bonuses along the way!

You'll want to Arrange your moves, making sure the ones you actually use are at the front, saving you a bunch of clicking in battle. No point having your healer use elemental physical attacks.

If you have them, make sure to equip the SP Ring(s) to save yourself some time, as it doubles SP gained on any character that has it equipped.
Wanted X - Smalltown
These are repeats of the Wanted quests, except bosses are now significantly stronger (though with the same weaknesses, if any). The game drops you off in Port Breeze, but we're going to start all the way back, where it all began: Smalltown. They have the usual boss resists (resists Silence, Confuse, Sleep, Stun, Blind (75%+); Resists ATK Down, MAG Down, DEF Down, MDEF Down, SPD Down (50%+)), unless specified otherwise.

[ACHIEVEMENT: Wanted X - 15/15 Wanted X quests completed]
Bestiary completion
With many areas now having a Hard Mode and new dungeons unlocking, there's new enemies to be found. The achievement only needs 122 entries, of which you should have close to 100. The ones you're missing are found in the new dungeons. Old ones' Hard Mode just makes the ones already in there a lot stronger. You'll find the remaining ones in the three new dungeons: Sunken Ruins, Lao Prison & Giant Land.

If your Bestiary looks the same as mine, you should have 1-149 covered. We're missing 150-182, after which the Wanted X bosses start showing up, though they don't count towards the achievement. Then 210-212 and 217-237. We'll cover the missing monsters first and see if that procs it.

Other bosses
These work much like the Wanted quests, except the locations are new and the bosses are insanely strong and there's an achievement attached to each. Here's all of them and where you pick them up in Chapter VI.

Dustop - "Test of Might" - Calloc @ Hidden Shrine
Port Breeze - "Ancient Tech" - Mechaslime @ Ancient Tunnel
Port Breeze - "Pirate Ship" - ??? @ Doom Lair
Crystalia - "Forest Poison" - Chimera Prime @ Darkwood
Warm Yeti - "Marin King" - Foxer @ Flake
Warm Yeti - "Seraph" - Seraph @ Ariea

Preparation
Things from here on out will be very difficult, unless your gear setup looks a little along the lines of:
  • Maxed skill trees (or at least halfway into the very last set, by which point you might as well max them)
  • Preferred Weapon* IV, Lv99 (yes, really, Tier 4 unleashes maximum level. Hope you've got Scrap Metal and Gold saved up.)
  • Full Armor IV, Lv 11
  • Start All, Lv 5
  • Circlet III, Lv 21

Preferred Weapon meaning whatever weapon works best for your character. E.g. Full attack for DPS, high MAG for your elemental nuke mage, improved healing for your healer, etc.
Full Armor and Start All drop (rarely) from the Battle Arena, meaning you'll likely pick these up as you max out the skill trees. If not, you can disassemble stuff you don't need to fuse the stuff you do need through alchemy in shops. This also yields a ton of Scrap Metal, which you can buy more of at 75G each, 99 at a time, in the later shops.

If you're still missing gemstones and stats, do the Chapter VI story first, as it'll reward you with just that. See that section later in the guide. Godspeed.
Test of Might
You pick the first quest up in the Dustop Tavern. Hidden Shrine is located south and east of the town.

Things of note:
=Stat HP
="Calloc" card (Blue chest)

Boss - Calloc - 59500 HP, starts with Regen (that doesn't actually seem to heal him, just repeatedly goes off for +0 health).

4800 Gold, 24000SP + 7000 Gold, 1 Sapphire (the gemstone that allows you to fuse the top tier items, if you don't have these already)
Ancient Tech
You pick it up in the Port Breeze Tavern. You'll find Ancient Tunnel south -> east -> south -> west from Port Breeze.

Things of note:
=Stat HP

Things of note:
="Chimera Prime" card (Blue chest)
=Stat ATK

This boss is mainly an elemental caster, both physical and magic. Phase two makes most of what he does AoE and introduces ailments to his ability pool. I suggest you burst this guy down quickly.

Marin King
Pick this up in Warm Yeti, and head to Flake. North, west, south from the town.

Things of note
=Ruby - You need these to upgrade your weapons to Tier 4. If you've not got all of those yet, this gemstone will help.
=Stat MAG
="Foxer" card (Blue chest)

The boss has 66000HP, his attack goblin (Marin) has 44000, while his healer (Medi-Marin) has 38500. As always, kill the healer first, as he not only heals, but buffs, too.

Phase 2 - 117000HP
=Gains Berserk, Judgement, Dargon Claw; Loses Large Talon

[ACHIEVEMENT: Judge - Beat Seraph]
Pirate Ship
Once again, pick this up in the Port Breeze Tavern. You'll find Doom Lair west -> west -> west -> north from here. Be wary, this is a boss with a TON of health: 2 phases of nearly 200k hp each. If you're not maxed out yet, you'll want to be. She's on 3F and has a cutscene, so feel free to explore and train here.

Card Battle minigame, part 1
Five cards with a first-to-two win condition. You play one as Attacker or Defender (using red or green stats, respectively, which are doubled if you match your element). Then optionally, you can play another card to change the opponent's element (and they can choose to do the same to you).

The game explains the minigame fairly well, and now that you've cleared the game and the postgame, you have access to the best cards. Save after every win, as your opponent can claim a card from your set as tribute if you lose. Once you win 5 times, you unlock the next tier.

My set consisted of Bop, Koras, Namina, Malloc, Orrora and I only saw my first tie by the time I was clearing the S-ranks. The GM managed to beat me once.

[ACHIEVEMENT: Card Class D - Win 5 Class D Card battles]
[ACHIEVEMENT: Card Class C - Win 5 Class C Card battles]
[ACHIEVEMENT: Card Class B - Win 5 Class B Card battles]
[ACHIEVEMENT: Card Class A - Win 5 Class A Card battles]
[ACHIEVEMENT: Card Class S - Win 5 Class S Card battles]
[ACHIEVEMENT: Card Class GM - Win 5 Class GM Card battles]

The last two achievements that relate to this require some more planning, so we'll get back to that, but we're done here for now.
=CHAPTER 6, part 2
Oops, there's actually a part of the story left to play. Might as well since we've literally done everything else up until this point! It should be one of the last achievements you're missing, so 100% is within reach.

First port of call is Coral Skull, between Crystalia and Warm Yeti. There's new enemies, but I'm not going to keep track of that since we've already got the Bestiary achievement (and everything else). Just here to speedrun Chapter VI and I'm going to tell you how to speed that up a bit. Important loot and bosses only.

CORAL SKULL

Card Battle minigame, part 2
With all the key items now acquired, you will need to repeatedly duel GMs and get certain cards from their decks. Then, when you have them all, you need to build a deck from these cards (4 specials and a filler).

===

The first requires the gang from the first game in card form. For this achievement, your deck should look like this in any order:
Tristam, Kaeli, Phoebe, Reuben, and any fifth card.
You get these from defeating Reuben in a GM Card Battle and claiming them as your prize, one at a time.
[ACHIEVEMENT: Impossible Deck - Defeat Card Master in a card battle]

===

The second requires fighting a card battle against Hiro, who will always have five of his own card with 1/1 stats. This is a joke fight, so get it over with and claim your prize.
For this achievement, you deck should look like this in any order:
D, Lina, Mari, Kaz, and any fifth card.
You get these from defeating Lina in a GM Card Battle and claiming them as your prize, one at a time. "D" dropped from the Card Master for me.
[ACHIEVEMENT: Number One Card - Obtain the Number One Card]
Secret Quest (Final Achievement)
Find the three generic items if you haven't already

Generic Stone - We found this back in Sunken Ruins.
Generic Ice - Found in Fork, south of Port Breeze. (Either difficulty)
Generic Water - Found in Landing, north and west of Warm Yeti. (Either difficulty)

Secret quest unlocked! Pick this up from any city, though Warm Yeti is the closest. After that, head to Lake (west, west, south, east from Warm Yeti) to fight the dreaded Genericfillername. After all you've been through, this one shouldn't be much trouble, despite the quest name.

Boss - Genericfillername/Genericusername - 24500HP
Phase 1 (#228) - 11000HP
=Wing Sweep, Large Talon, Burst, Burst All, Quicken.
=Weak to Water, Wind (150%); Resists Earth (50%)
=The usual boss resists.

Phase 2 - 13500HP
=Gains Regen and some HP, but becomes ~20% weaker stat-wise
=Otherwise identical

[ACHIEVEMENT: Generic Quest - Completed the Secret Quest]
Closing thoughts
Well, that's a wrap, I suppose! Started writing this on a whim after I noticed that there wasn't a proper, full guide (just some of the post-game stuff scattered about) and I saw people complaining about that. Being a writer, that is what I do best, so I figured I'd try my hand at writing one.

Since I still had some achievements I missed on my first run and this game was a good nostalgia hit that took me back to my Kongregate days, I don't regret it. I would probably prefer to stick to writing fantasy fiction for young adults, though!

And after three weeks of hard work, I'll allow myself one (1) shameless self-plug. If YA fantasy is your thing, you can find my books that I've translated to English in this Google Drive folder[drive.google.com] to read for free. Let me know what you thought if you've given any of those a read.

Anyway, if you've made it this far, thanks for trusting me to guide you and I hope it was useful to you in places, at least. Game on, gamers, and see you around! Jesse out!
