Introduction
All of these achievements are easier to get if you play a five person multiplayer game, but with you controlling each player so that you can decide which cards are picked, or as a four person game against the "automarazzi." This second method is good because in that game mode, you can pass cards between each player. For example, if your blue player has cards the green player needs, you can pass them along. Be aware, however, that the AI might steal a card you need before you can get it.

It is also easier if you start with the required birds in your hand. They may still be possible to get if you don’t start with them in your hand, but if you can’t get the required birds before you finish the first quarter of the game, then it’s probably better for you to restart and try again. To increase the likelihood of you getting the required Asian birds, edit your deck so it only has the Asian and Oceania birds. (Oceania allows for the use of nectar in your game.)

One final note, do NOT use birds that blindly tuck cards from the deck if you are trying to get these achievements. You can’t check if the cards you need are the ones being tucked!

Like Your Birds, But Better

Score an opponent’s bonus card to earn more points from it than them.

This is best done either in team mode against the “automarazzi,” or in multiplayer mode where you play as each player. You’re going to need either the Indian Vulture or the Greater Adjutant. (Or both.) Then just make sure you play the game so that the player with these cards scores better than the player whose bonus card you’re copying.

We're SO Back

Win a game while scoring 21 points or more on the "Endangered Species Protector" bonus card.

You will need the “Endangered Species Protector” bonus card (of course.) To get the achievement, you will have to get at LEAST 7 birds on your player mat with a power to gain a bonus card. Having this player win the game shouldn't be too difficult because most of those “gain another bonus card” birds tend to be high scoring. To make it easier, have other birds in your game on the other players' mats (controlled by you) with powers to give food and eggs to all players. It is also beneficial to have a cuckoo or similar bird that can lay eggs for free and/or a bird that gives you free food (for example, every time a player gets a grub, you gain a grub from the supply) on the mat of the player you’re trying to get the achievement with. Free nectar cards are also a big help in getting this achievement, because getting the nectar bonus will help the “Endangered Species Protector” win the game. You may be able to kill two birds with one stone by using the Indian Vulture or the Greater Adjutant birds as well, getting the “Like Your Birds, But Better” achievement at the same time if you haven’t already.

I've included my winning player set up for the game I got this achievement in. The sea eagle and pheasant were added at the end to make sure there would be plenty of points on cards to win the game. The mandarin duck was useful to have the player pick up cards for free at the end of each round and select ones appropriate for the achievement. The malleefowl gave me free eggs, useful because most of the “new bonus card” birds have ground nests.

Jackpot Cache

Use a push-your-luck bird to cache 15+ food on it.

I got this achievement done with the Brahminy Kite. I think this bird may be best because rolling 3 dice three times gives you better odds of success, but any of the birds that have you roll dice three times to cache food will do. Place them early in the game and spam them every turn until you eventually beat the odds and get the achievement.

Swan Song, Solo

In Duet Mode, place no tokens on bonus spaces and win the game.

The Bonus spaces are the ones that give you an extra food dice, egg, or card when you place your token on them. Play Duet Mode in multi player with you playing as both players. Choose one that will be your winning player and make sure you play lots of birds for them, and don’t place any tokens on the bonus spaces. Make sure the winner has lots of eggs and nectar, perhaps with some help from the losing player. (Remember, cuckoos and other birds that lay eggs for free are your friends in this game.) Any cards you play for the loser player can take the bonus tokens.

In this example game, the red owl was the loser and the blue peacock was the winner.

Devoted to Duet

Place more than 15 Tokens on the Duet Map in one game.

This one is tricky, but still achievable. Like “Swan Song, Solo,” play multiplayer duet mode and pick one that you’ll use to get the achievement. In order to get this achievement, you MUST use birds that can be placed on top of other birds, such as the Southern Cassowary from the Oceania deck, or the Common Buzzard from the European deck. This game was my exception to the rule of only using the Asia and Oceania decks for these achievements because of the higher rate of predator birds you can play on top of other birds present in the European deck. If you are able to use a lot of those birds, you will not need to fill in all 15 of the bird spaces on the player mat. Otherwise, to get the achievement you WILL have to fill all 15 bird spaces AND have one predator bird on top of another. Place the predator birds on “cheap” birds that don’t cost a lot of resources to play. Unlike “Swan Song, Solo,” the player you use to get this achievement CAN put tokens on Bonus Spaces. Use that to your advantage to get more resources.

Here is my winning player mat for when I got this achievement. (Note: I also got the “Endangered Species Protector” bonus card for this player. I tried to get the “We’re SO Back” achievement in this game too, but I failed. The most important birds here are the Southern Cassowary, Montagu’s Harrier, Eurasian Hobby and Common Buzzard, because they were played on top of other cards and so I didn't have to completely fill in the player mat.)

Owl Hands On Deck

Activate 5 predator powers at the end of a single round using the Oriental Bay-Owl.

Like the others, make use of multiplayer mode to get this achievement. Make sure the player with the Oriental Bay-Owl has at least 5 predator cards to use. (Brown powers with the little skull and cross bones.) Included is an example player mat that would get the achievement.

Tailored Fit

Lay 15 eggs at once with the Common Tailorbird.

This one is a little complex. Don't try for it if you don't get the Common Tailorbird at the very beginning. You need to have an entire player mat full of 15 birds, including the Common Tailorbird. I made it by using cup nests and star nests, as those birds are plentiful and don’t tend to be very expensive. In this case, don’t use cuckoos to help you get eggs, because they don’t have their own nests! Instead, rely on the other players in your control to give free eggs and food to the player with the Tailorbird. Finally, make sure each bird has at least one egg space available to be laid on in the end game.

Flying International

Send 3 birds to an opponent's preserve.

Use either the Spotted Dove or the Blue Rock-Thrush for this achievement. Pass one between players over and over again in multiplayer mode until the achievement pops.

Double Agent

Copy another player's bird power to move a bird to another player's preserve.

Use a combination of the Tui or the Superb Lyrebird to copy powers and the Spotted Dove or the Blue Rock-Thrush to move the birds. Note, the bird that will be moved is the Lyrebird or the Tui, and doing so may block in the the Spotted Dove or the Blue Rock-Thrush from being able to move again, depending on your bird set-up. As per the other achievements, this is best done in multiplayer mode so you can control which cards go to each player.

To Egg-Finity and Beyond!

End the game with at least 3 of your birds having gone over their egg nest limit.

Use either the Asian Koel or the Violet Cuckoo, once again in multiplayer mode, for this achievement. It’s easiest to place the extra eggs on birds that have a naturally low egg count. (1 or 2 eggs.) Once you have your three birds with extra eggs on them, do not spend those eggs before the end of the game!

A Real Know-It-Owl: Asia

Play at least once all the new birds of the Wingspan: Asia Expansion.

Interesting - Going through the tutorial actually taught me something :D. In Devoted to Duet, Blue 'This bird counts double for end of round goal' birds actually get you two duet tokens for one played bird.

And for Jackpot Cache, Forest Owlet and Purple Heron are slightly better odds than Brahminy Kite - with the White-Throated Kingfisher 4th. FO and PH give you 50/50 (3 faces out of 6) for each die or a 75% chance with each throw. BK has only a 2/6 chance on 3 dice - or a 70.4% (152/216). WTK has a 66% (4/6 faces) on one die. As you have to press your luck 3x to maximize your chances, FO/PH have a 42.2 % chance of paying 3 food, BK a 34.9% chance and WTK a 29.6. To hedge all bets (if possible) it would be interesting to place PH, BK and WTK in the water and chain one's chances.

And as far as Swan Song Solo goes, I'm wondering what would happen if in a 2 player human game, neither player placed any duet tokens - I would think that would be an automatic achievement regardless of the results. In fact, one could place the original hand / food and then spam card draws for the rest of the game (assuming one bird total was greater than the other).

Excellent guide. Thanks! As far as tailored Fit goes, having the other 4 players play 1 water bird and then cycling the deck with a food to reset and pulling 2 (non-star) cards worked for me. I started with a hand with 4 star cards and the Common Tailor showed up in the tray towards the end of round 2. Needed to be careful not to change the tray for the last turn each round and limited the amount of draws from the deck until it appeared.

Thank you for the tips!
I was struggling with the 15 tokens in duet, but I did not think of the European expansion.
One addition; the double agent achievement does not necessarily need a Tui or Superb Lyrebird, the Asia expansion itself also has birds that copy powers (e.g. Common Myna), and if you play duet mode, the previous player is the next player!
