Project 630 - Corvette Monitor

A corvette built to frigate lines, Project 630 is not too light, nor too heavy.

The Vessel before you is the result of the formerly cancelled Project 660 Heavy Corvette Program.
This was program was revived following Slipfleet being impressed by the performance of the cancelled craft's sister ship, the Project 660 Orbit Guard Cutter.

The original design was revised to become much lighter where possible, as the brick-like flight experience was a major factor in its cancellation.

Additionally it was decided to be the first class of ships to be partnered with a new atmospheric recon vehicle, the SH-01 helicopter, in order to not waste its own fuel on in-atmo resource scouting missions.
