Please note that the guide im writing up here is under the assumption you use KDE Plasma as your desktop environment and have installed Peggle Nights into the default directory steam creates. While you could bend some of the instructions to make it work for other DE's, support will not be provided personally for them.

While the original links have unfortunately died a while ago, someone went through the trouble of providing the links to the packs here: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=804738957 FYI, The Spring Level Pack is already included in Peggle Nights by default, So unless you just want the package for it, download is not needed.

download the level packs and put them in a convenient or safe place, We're going to need to do something outside of the box in order to install them next. Nothing too major, just not what you would normally expect.

Normally, trying to just run the exe through wine would cause it to not install because of it not seeing where peggle nights is, due to how proton runs and manages things. HOWEVER, The apps themselves are nothing more than a fancy gui for a zip file.

To extract the files via ark, right click on the exe, then select Open With--> Other Application...., and either search for the name "Ark" in the search box, or click Show All Installed Applications

Then Click Ark.

Once thats done, a window like this should appear, with 2 folders: A cfg Folder, and a files Folder.



Expand the view of the files folder Until you Reach a file with an ending extension of .pak.

COPY THIS .pak FILE TO AN EASILY ACCESSIBLE PLACE. THIS IS WHAT WE NEED TO INSTALL INTO PEGGLE NIGHTS ITSELF.

Once you have extracted the .pak files from the exes and moved them to somewhere accessible, go to your installation of Peggle Nights. In my case, an example would be

Look for the folder labled "levelpacks" and enter it. By default you should already see the spring pack installed with the file name of "z_spring.pak"





Copy the .pak files into that directory, making sure they arnt in any extra sub-directories by accident!

Once all is said and done, your file directory should look like this!


That pretty much wraps up the hard part of actually installing the packs into the game. Now for the final part...

The most simple part, just launch Peggle Nights, and check by the fireplace, if 2 new icons glimmer in, that means you installed the packs correctly!
