После их первого коммерчески выпущенного альбома Drowning in the Sewer, Draining Love Story - это путешествие сквозь эмоции, варьирующиеся от желания смерти до экстаза любви. Sewerslvt is a project that plunges the listener into the depths of depressive melancholy, combining elements of industrial noise, drum and bass and a salad of electronic dance music.Inspiration is found in Japanese culture and anime, which is evident both in the music and in the visual design of albums, music videos and tracks. Sampling music from anime and using fragments of animated films is one of the signature features of Sewerslvt.

Following their first commercially-released album Drowning in the Sewer, Draining Love Story is a journey through emotions ranging from the desire of death to the ecstasy of love. This project is Sewerslvt’s third major release to be published on main streaming services. It was also released as a vinyl, which were quickly sold out.

This opus holds the highest concentration of Jvne’s most famous tracks, most importantly due to one of their breakthrough hits, “Mr. Kill Myself.”

Despite the tracklist being composed of 10 tracks, two of them, “Newlove” and “Mr. Kill Myself” were removed off SoundCloud due to Sewerslvt having issues with their profile verification as well as their distribution platform; “Newlove” was also later re-released on Spotify as a single, separated from the album. Draining Love Story had the first cover in its original version, before being switched to the more appropriate, censored version when release problems were cleared
