What beats the Frost Queen (and Snowy Peaks)
By Get in here cupcake
It took me several months to produce a winning attempt against the Frost Queen, and therefore I feel inclined to write a guide about beating her, for the sake of future players. This guide is recommended for people who would like precise information on how to beat her, therefore don't click if you want to avoid spoilers ❤️

The Sorceress is a must, as she is the character with the most flame-type spells. Her attacks will deal a high amount of damage to frost-type enemies, which includes both the Frost Queen and her two accompanying (at a given time) Ice Warriors.

The Huntress is useful for her main asset: Hunter's Mark. Which I will elaborate on further down in the guide.

The Priestess is a weak character, and I've subjectively found Resurrection to be her only useful ability. But from what I've found, said Resurrection is what causes her to be worth keeping in your party.

Recommended abilities (skill tree choices)
I will only go over the choices that matter, and omit the ones that don't (e.g. spells that I never used at all in that battle).

Huntress

The first important choice for the Huntress is Marked Victim, as it causes guaranteed critical damage to any enemies marked with Hunter's Mark. This passive ability is important to pick, if you are using a strategy oriented around the Hunter's Mark status effect.

Then, pick Hunter's Blade, as it causes guaranteed infliction of Hunter's Mark.

Thirdly, pick Hunter's Mark, as it utilizes the infliction of the Hunter's Mark status effect to inflict huge damage. (What makes Lightning Falcon inferior? The inability to pick your target, whereas in Frost Queen's battle it is important to target her).

Sorceress

Pick everything fire. Make sure to unlock the last spell Fiery Explosion, as it is extremely strong, and powerful against all the enemies in Frost Queen's fight, including Frost Queen herself.

Priestess

Pick the Courage ability, as Rage will be needed for Resurrection.

Pick Prayer as well, because it will give the Huntress and Sorceress the extra Rage they need.
Recommended loadout

Huntress

Blood Sword - Worth the lifesteal.

Jester's Bell - 13% defense, one of the highest-defense armors in the game.

Sorceress

Mage's Ancient Staff - 10% defense and 15% crit chance.

Emerald Amulet - 7% defense is the most important bonus, but the max hp and armor increases are very helpful too.

Priestess

Mage's Ancient Staff - 10% defense and 15% crit chance. Yes, please get yourself a second one for the Priestess!

Tome of Secret Knowledge - 8% defense, 6% evasion, +14 armor. Defense is the most important, but evasion and armor help too.

Recommended inventory

This aspect is very simple: The Phoenix Star will be crucial for revival of downed party members. So, please stock up on at least 10 of them. You will need them!

And fill up the rest of your inventory slots with healing items. If you can, just aim for the ones that heal the highest amounts or percentages of HP. I personally managed to survive just fine on only Big Healing Potions (50 HP each), but you will have higher odds of surviving if you use Elixirs and/or Huge Healing Potions too.
How to deal with random encounters
For the overworld, another great reason for picking the Huntress is her ability Cold Calculation, which allows you to occasionally skip battles that you don't need to fight. I recommend using this ability; using it on three-enemy encounters whose tiles can be walked around.

With this method, you'll be saving yourself time, healing items, and saving yourself in general - as some of those random encounters are made up of strong enemies that could genuinely down your whole party, and thus kill your run.

Due to the cooldown, I recommend not wasting this ability on one-enemy or two-enemy encounters, as you may end up short-handed for when a truly dangerous three-enemy encounter comes.

With how dangerous the random encounters are in Snowy Peaks, Cold Calculation is genuinely one of the main methods of surviving the area.

Strategy for the bossfight
Huntress

If she has no Rage and nobody needs healing: Use Rapid Shot on Frost Queen.
If she has no Rage and somebody needs healing: Make her use a healing item on whoever needs it.
If she has 2 Rage: Use Hunter's Blade on Frost Queen.
If Hunter's Mark is applied and she has 2 Rage: Use Hunter's Mark on Frost Queen.
If a party member has been downed: Use a Phoenix Star on downed party member.

Sorceress

If she has no Rage and nobody needs healing: Use Fireball on Frost Queen.
If she has no Rage and somebody needs healing: Make her use a healing item on whoever needs it.
If she has 5 Rage: Use Fiery Explosion on Frost Queen.
If a party member has been downed: Use a Phoenix Star on downed party member.

Priestess

If she has no Rage and nobody needs healing: Use Heaven's Judgement on Frost Queen.
If somebody needs healing: Make her use a healing item on whoever needs it. (Yes, ignore the 'Healing' spell, as it is inferior to healing items in this game).
If she has 3 Rage and nobody needs healing: Use Prayer on either Huntress or Sorceress, depending on which one of them has less Rage at that moment.
If a party member has been downed: Use Resurrection on downed party member.

*Special footnotes for Priestess: Under my setup, your Priestess should generally never be running out of Rage, which is why a situation where you cannot use Prayer or Resurrection will be very rare. Though, if you cannot use Resurrection but need to, then please use a Phoenix Star instead.
Did I help?
End of guide. Thank you for reading ❤️
