👾 Boss Achievements
Mana Spark is a Rogue-Like game where you’ll play through multiple runs, improving characters and equipment over time. Boss-related achievements will unlock naturally as you progress. Below are tips for each boss fight. It’s worth learning enemy patterns, optimizing your loadouts, and using environmental cover — the game rewards strategy and patience.

I got my eye on you
Description: Kill the first boss.
How to Unlock: The Knowledge is a floating eyeball with three main attacks. It first summons smaller eyes that shoot petrifying projectiles, then if it can see you when it opens it's eye fires a straight light beam (blockable by bookshelves), or launches a slow-moving orb that goes past any cover. Take advantage of the bookshelves for cover, especially during the beam attack. Be aware that if you take out both of the smaller eyeballs the bosses next attack will always re-summon them. Stick and move — hit the boss and immediately reposition.

It's hot in here, huh?
Description: Kill the second boss.
How to Unlock: The Forge is a dragon that attacks from the walls with a charge after two smoke puffs. It also ignites the floor in dangerous patterns, which get harder to dodge as the fight goes on. When smoke appears, prepare to dodge the charge. Baiting the charge into a pillar causes the boss to take extra damage. Note that when the boss is below half hp it charges noticeably slower. Try to fight near the center so you have room to dodge either direction. Don’t forget to kill the hog near the entrance for a quick 2-food bonus to help during the fight.

A monster or not
Description: Kill the third boss.
How to Unlock: This is a two-phase fight against The Aberration and then the Half Elf. In Phase 1, strafe in wide circles to avoid the tendril strikes and attack in short windows between the energy projectiles. Destroy the bouncing energy balls to keep the arena clear. Freezing Bomb or Conic Dessert can lock the boss down and prevent the transformation if you have enough attack speed and damage. In Phase 2, the Half Elf is faster and more erratic, but easy to telegraph. Dodge through fireball volleys and strike between patterns — the purple eye-beam eruptions are the safest windows to attack. Stay calm, mobile, and don’t get greedy with hits.

A mana spark
Description: Beat the game.
How to Unlock: The final boss, Eve, has two phases. In Phase 1, you must destroy the four test tubes while dodging a variety of attacks, the worst being the Energy beam present in both phases. These attacks come in complex wave patterns, so stay alert and learn safe zones. Eve is immune to status effects here, so rely on dodging and burst damage. There is an area in front of the door which Eve's energy beam does not penetrate, when you see Eve gathering energy, pressing yourself up against the door will see you safe from the beam. Use Mettle Crystal or Amulet to safely move through the red orbs or sweeping beams. In Phase 2, Eve breaks free and becomes vulnerable to freezing, poison, and other effects. Reapers will spawn too — take them out quickly or avoid them while you focus on Eve. With good timing and strong status gear, you can lock her down and end the fight quickly.

What does the future hold for us?
Description: Beat the game with each playable character.
How to Unlock: Complete a full run with all four characters: Jasika, Wyatt, Galiana, and Ellis. There’s no in-game tracker, so keep your own notes. Each character plays differently — some are tankier, others faster or more technical. Unlock their special skills at Allabah’s NPC to make your runs smoother. In terms of difficulty, many players find Jasika the easiest and Ellis the most challenging due to lower survivability.

Spicy Burrito
Description: Finish the game after eating a Spicy Burrito.
How to Unlock: The Spicy Burrito becomes available after beating the final boss. Eating it before a run strips you of all buffs, drops your HP to almost nothing, and disables any further bonuses. You essentially have to play a no-hit run where you deal worse than pitiful damage. Due to the extreme difficulty, many players unlock this using external tools like SAM or Cheat Engine. There is currently no known players who have proven that they got this achievement legitimately on the current patch (If you have please leave a comment with your strategy!) . For those brave enough to try legitimately, we’ll share some advanced tips. Good luck — this one is brutal! The main strategy revolves around Jasika's signature ability Virtue of Patience which allows your attack to petrify enemies if you wait a short time between shots. Petrifying enemies causes them to be unable to move until attacked again, so at the start of each room your aim should be to neutralise the room, making every enemy petrified especially ones that can wreak extra havoc, such as the driders with their ability to summon extra spiders, the snatcher with it's ability to pull you in, and the forgotten witch with it's ability to summon red orbs and bats. Once a room is neutralised in this fashion your general strategy should be to pick enemies off one by one, slowly but safely. With the prerequisite of no bonuses your lack of damage will start to frustrate you, there are many micro things that you can do to speed up such as kiting enemies over spikes, or intentionally transforming tanky enemies into driderlings — by unpetrifying a drider while you are standing next to the enemy you want to transform, the drider will either shoot a web at you, at the nearest enemy or continue walking to try and melee attack you, if you do manage to transform an enemy make sure to petrify the drider again unless you'd like a sea of spiders swarming for a chance at your 1/2hp. In the Forgotten crypts there are also flames that crop up periodically, if you can petrify an enemy on top of the flames they will take damage from the flames and they will not be unpetrified.
💖 Hitless Achievements
Each dungeon in Mana Spark is procedurally generated, but follows a consistent structure. There are four main dungeons: Wolfsbane Woods, Buried Tunnels, Aberration Chambers, and Forgotten Crypts. Most of them are divided into three parts (I, II, and III), except for Wolfsbane Woods, which only has two. To unlock the hitless achievements, you must complete an entire dungeon without taking any damage — that includes enemy attacks, environmental hazards, and even self-inflicted damage from skills or attributes.

General Tips:
  • Bosses are not required for these achievements. You only need to survive the different parts of each dungeon area.
  • You don’t have to do all the hitless dungeons in the same run. You can focus on one at a time and use the earlier dungeons to prepare with the right attributes, items, and companions.
  • You don’t need to clear every room. As soon as you activate all levers, you can exit — unless you feel confident enough to explore more for loot or upgrades. Small tip:, you can use Tab to teleport between the different explored rooms.
  • Avoid using attributes or skills that reduce your HP or cause self-damage (e.g., Sharp Feather, Judgement Nail, or the Naturalist’s Friendship Hurts).
  • The Amulet of Invulnerability is incredibly useful to escape bad situations; don’t hesitate to equip it and use it to save a run.
  • Using the Health Glitch, covered in the last section, allows you to summon an army of immortal animals when utilizing the Naturalist's Friendship Hurts. They can clear rooms for you while you stay safe behind cover.
  • From easiest to hardest, the general difficulty of hitless runs seems to go: Wolfsbane Woods → Buried Tunnels → Aberration Chambers → Forgotten Crypts.
  • Playing carefully and slowly pays off. Kite enemies, use terrain to your advantage, and always approach new rooms cautiously. These achievements are as much about patience as they are about skill. Don’t get greedy, and focus on control rather than speed.

Survival specialist
Description: Survive the Wolfsbane Woods while taking zero damage.

Master spelunker
Description: Survive the Buried Tunnels while taking zero damage.

Can't touch this
Description: Survive the Aberration Chambers while taking zero damage.

Basement hero
Description: Survive the Forgotten Crypts while taking zero damage.
🚪 Room Achievements
Friend of Nature
Description: Leave a level of Wolfsbane Woods with all boars alive.
How to Unlock: Boars are passive creatures that appear in the Wolfsbane Woods. As long as you don’t harm them, they won’t attack you. If you enter a room with boars, ignore them completely and focus on defeating the actual enemies. Once all hostile creatures are gone, the room will clear even if the boars are still alive.

The pain has been rewarded
Description: Complete a sacrifice.
How to Unlock: In the Buried Tunnels and beyond, you may come across an Altar Room — a circular chamber with a large altar in the center. Standing on it will activate a spike trap that will continuously injure your character, until you have 1 or 1/2 HP. Survive the waves of enemies that spawn afterward, and you’ll earn the right to bind one of your passive attributes for future runs.

I Should've killed it before it laid eggs!
Description: Survive a room with 15 or more spiders.
How to Unlock: This is easiest in the Aberration Chambers, where Driders (giant spiders) appear. Driders spit web orbs that can either freeze you or spawn spiderlings when hitting another enemy. Let the Driders do their thing — instead of fighting right away, kite enemies and wait for the webs to hit other mobs. Each successful hit spawns four spiderlings. With some patience and a bit of luck, a single room can quickly fill up with spiders. Just make sure to stay alive until the room clears.

Big Spender
Description: Activate the same Peculiar Room button 3 times in a row.
How to Unlock: The Peculiar Room is a special shop that appears occasionally and allows you to spend coins for attributes or send mana runes to camp. To unlock this achievement, you need to activate the slot machine in this room three times in a row. The first three activations cost 1, 7, and then 14 coins — a total of 22. If you skip the first Peculiar Room and manage to survive until the second or third one, you’ll likely have enough coins saved up. Just make sure not to spend any coins beforehand, and keep yourself alive long enough to reach the room again.
🛡️ Equipment Achievements
This is called strategy
Description: Kill all enemies in a room without attacking once.
How to Unlock: Equip and use Thorn Bomb as your only offensive tool in a room. This achievement requires that you don't directly use your character’s basic or skill attacks — only the traps from the Thorn Bomb to eliminate enemies. Timing and positioning are key here. It’s easier with slower or weaker mobs. Another strategy you may use is to kite enemies over spikes, which is most commonly useful in the Buried Tunnels where many rooms contain large patches of spikes. Slower enemies get hit by simply walking over the spikes that they activate themselves, and if a faster enemy is chasing you it will run into the spikes you activate.

Smart thinking
Description: Use the freezing bomb to freeze yourself AND an enemy at the same time.
How to Unlock: This one is as simple as it sounds. Equip the Freezing Bomb, lure an enemy close to you, and toss the bomb to catch both you and the enemy in the blast radius. Your character will be frozen along with them, and the achievement will unlock right after.

Multiple strike
Description: Kill 2 or more enemies with the same attack.
How to Unlock: This will likely unlock naturally as you play. To make it easier, equip attributes that hit multiple enemies at once, such as Twin Leaf Sprout which shoots an additional projectile (Hunter only), or Loyalty Chain which attacks also nearby enemies. Weaker enemies like Goblats or Driderlings are ideal for this. Try funneling them together and using a strong AoE or projectile burst.

Squad Goals
Description: Have 4 pets at the same time.
How to Unlock: The easiest way is with the Naturalist’s ability Friendship Hurts, which lets you sacrifice a heart to summon a spider or bat companion. These pets cannot die and their effects stack — spiders slow enemies, and bats can recover health as they deal damage. You can also supplement your pet count with egg-based attributes like: Drainer Egg which adds a bat or Entangled Egg which adds a spider. With a little planning, you can easily stack four companions and earn this achievement mid-run.
📚 Collectibles Achievements
Lorehound
Description: Read all the available bookshelf texts.
How to Unlock: As you progress through dungeons, you’ll occasionally find library shelves, research tables, or other lore objects. These objects will be available to interact with once you defeat all of the enemies in the room. Reading one adds it to the journal system tracked by Vihaan at the encampment. Check with Vihaan (Books Menu) to see your collection progress. Just keep exploring thoroughly and interacting with all lore spots — you’ll eventually collect them all through natural play.

Tonight we stand together
Description: Unlock and upgrade everything available at the encampment.
How to Unlock: This achievement requires full progression of all encampment NPC offerings. You’ll need plenty of runes, which accumulate naturally as you play more runs.

Here's what needs to be completed:

Faisca – Items
  • There are 7 shared items for all characters.
  • There are 2 character-specific items: Revenge Ring for the Warrior, and Trigger Happy for Hunter/Guard.
  • Items must be first unlocked in a Peculiar Room before they appear for upgrade at the Blacksmith.
  • Exception: Bear Trap and Sticky Web can appear at the Blacksmith after first encounter, even if not purchased.
Michael – Recipes
  • There are 9 total recipes.
  • Recipes are grouped into levels, and each levels unlocks one at a time; you must buy a recipe before the next level becomes available.
  • Spicy Burrito only unlocks after defeating the final boss.
  • Once unlocked, recipes become available at camp and provide bonuses during runs.
Vihaan – Weaknesses
  • You need to research the weakness of every enemy (except Explosive Pods, Catersplinter, and Driderlings which can’t be weakened).
  • Once you encounter an enemy, it appears in Vihaan’s bestiary.
  • Pay runes to research weaknesses, allowing you to deal bonus damage to selected enemies on future runs.
Allabah – Skills
  • Each character has one unique skill to unlock.
  • After returning from a dungeon, Allabah will offer to teach you new skills for runes.
  • These are permanent and character-specific.
  • It’s recommended to unlock the character's skill before trying to complete tougher runs with it.
🧀 Cheesy Tips
There are currently two known "cheesy" tricks that can help with achievements — especially those related to survivability and hitless runs. These work as of June 2025. Use them at your own discretion, and for your sanity.

💖 Health Glitch

This glitch allows you to start a run with up to 30 hearts — making survival much easier.

How to Do:
  1. Go to the encampment and interact with Michael (the recipe NPC).
  2. Choose the Roasted Boar Leg with Honey recipe — this gives you +2 hearts.
  3. Interact with Michael again.
  4. Choose the Spicy Burrito and confirm with Yes when prompted.
  5. As soon as you confirm, spam E to return to the recipe menu.
  6. Immediately choose Roasted Boar Leg with Honey again and press OK.
  7. Spam E again to get back to the menu.
  8. Repeat steps 4–7 as fast as you can to stack the health boosts.
Notes:
  • If done correctly, you'll enter your run with significantly more HP — sometimes close to 30 hearts.
  • If done incorrectly, the game might:
    • Crash (black screen).
    • Launch with the Spicy Burrito equipped instead.
  • With practice, it becomes more consistent.

💾 Save Scumming
In traditional roguelikes, you typically can't save mid-run — and must start from scratch if you die. However, there's a way to "save scum" in this game, which helps a lot when doing hitless runs or farming specific achievements. It basically lets you retry a tough section without replaying the entire game from the start.

How to Save:
  1. Progress through the dungeon until you reach a Peculiar Room.
  2. In the Peculiar Room, go to the bed in the top-right corner and select save your progress to suspend the game. This will create a soft save that restarts at this room.
  3. Open Registry Editor on your PC:
    • Press Windows + R, type regedit, press Enter.
    • Or just search for Registry Editor in the Start menu.
  4. Navigate to:
    Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\BEHEMUTT\ManaSpark
  5. Right-click on the ManaSpark folder, choose Export, and save the .reg file somewhere safe.
How to Load:
  1. Close the game completely (to avoid conflicts).
  2. Reopen Registry Editor.
  3. Go to:
    Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\BEHEMUTT\ManaSpark
  4. Right-click ManaSpark and choose Delete. Confirm when prompted.
  5. Now, double-click your saved .reg file from earlier. Confirm with Yes and OK.
  6. Reopen the game and press Continue. You'll spawn right back at the Peculiar Room.
Here is a screenshot of the Registry Editor for reference.
