Recommended Trio for Each Boss (+EVERDARK)
By ウランちゃん
This guide covers the team composition that worked best for us on Day 3. Using this specific trio made encounters significantly smoother and more manageable. While this advice is primarily designed for coordinated groups with voice comms, solo players may still find some useful insights here.

We finished progressing through all the bosses, and for each one below, I broke down their key weaknesses, who was aggro, and the strategies we used to secure consistent victories after the first few tries.

Note: While other team compositions can work, I wanted to share this guide to help struggling groups and showcase the strategy that proved most effective for me and my friends. Thank you.

Tricephalos - Gladius, Beast of Night

Weakness: Holy

For the first boss we used two Duchess and one long range character (Ironeye).

First, players intending to use Duchess will need to unlock her, as she's not part of the starting roster.

For Day 3, our strategy involves Ironeye staying in the backline while both Duchess players maintain aggro. Whenever Ironeye activates their ultimate, one or both Duchess players should use their stopwatch ability to amplify the damage output.

This composition is great because when teammates go down, Duchess can activate her ultimate to become invisible and safely revive fallen allies. Additionally, her invisibility ultimate provides crucial escape utility when Gladius breaks free from his chains, allowing for easy evasion of his enhanced attacks.

Gaping Jaw - Adel, Baron of Night

Weakness: Poison

For this one we used Ironeye, and two Executors

For Day 3, our strategy centers on Ironeye maintaining backline positioning and timing his ultimate when both Executioner players are in close proximity to Adel. Crucially, all team members must equip poison abilities, as poison exploits Adel's primary weakness and is essential for executing this strategy effectively. Maintain distance and immediately retreat as far as possible whenever he begins charging up his attack - you'll know it's coming when the air around him turns purple.
────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
Sentient Pest - Gnoster, Wisdom of Night

Weakness: Fire

For this boss we used Executor, Duchess, and Ironeye.

Ngl, I had beef with the moth like character (as Ironeye). Ironeye should focus exclusively on the moth ensuring he has fire equipped since fire damage is most effective against Gnoster. Meanwhile, the aggro players (Duchesses and Executor) should target the scorpion-like creature, positioning themselves underneath it for optimal damage and safety.

This encounter is relatively straightforward since both monsters move slowly and don't execute many rapid attacks. However, when the moth enters the second phase and lands on the scorpion's back, all players must position themselves underneath the combined creature to avoid most of Gnoster's incoming attacks.
────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
Augur - Maris, Fathom of Night

Weakness: Lightning

For this boss we used two Ironeyes, and Recluse

This battle requires maintaining distance at all costs. Maris can instantly wipe the entire team if players get too close or become careless. The attacks are brutal, especially with the arena filled with explosive jellyfish like creatures and ground spawning plant whips that can catch you off guard.

Our positioning strategy involves all players staying at range, with Recluse serving as the primary aggro from a safe distance. Both Ironeye players focus on Maris while clearing outer enemies, allowing Recluse to maintain pressure with spells.

Coordination is key, when the Ironeye players activate their ultimates, Recluse should unleash all magic damage into Maris simultaneously. One Ironeye must equip a lightning bow, as lightning is Maris's weakness. This creates a powerful attack with Recluse's lightning and magic combination spells, resulting in massive damage output.

IMPORTANT: EVERYONE MUST SHOOT THE GOLD ORB OUT OF THE SKY IN MARIS'S SECOND PHASE OR ROLL THROUGH IT BECAUSE ONCE IT LANDS YOU MAY GET WIPED OUT AND GG.

────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
Equilibrious Beast - Libra, Creature of Night

Weakness: Madness

Took us three tries to beat this one after swapping characters. For the win we went Ironeye, Wylder, and Raider (Wylder and Raider being aggro)

The most effective strategy against this boss involves alternating ults while Libra is in the meditation bubble, which destroys the meditation and stuns the boss. Make sure to collect crystal shards to reduce your madness levels, and all team members must equip flame of frenzy abilities to maximize effectiveness.

The key is preventing Libra from fully charging the meditation bubble - this prevents the fog of frenzy from activating and wiping us all out. When you successfully inflict frenzy on Libra, the boss enters a berserker state which makes his attacks predictable because he just swings and they are easy to dodge. This creates your window of opportunity to deal significant damage safely.
────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
Darkdrift Knight - Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow

Weakness: Lightning

I wont lie, this boss took us a while to beat. Lightning is so important. As an Ironeye main, I had so much success using the Lightning Thorned Whip as my secondary and a black bow ( both upgraded to its max with smithing stone). Use your critical hits as Ironeye every chance you get. As Wylder, get a relic where you can posess two grappling hooks (its the +1 additional skill relic).

Which ever melee character you are, you want to be under him since he does a lot of ranged attacks so its easier to avoid those attacks when you are under him. Plus when you are under him you are always ready to stun him when he does his charge up. Wylder and Duchess are aggro (Wylder must make sure he is always grappling and always there by Fulghor).
────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
Fissure in the Fog – Caligo, Miasma of Night

Weakness: Fire

We used two Ironeyes and a Wylder to defeat this boss. Range and fire are your BEST FRIENDS, with Wylder being aggro. Many of his swings are easy to dodge if timed right. Equip relics and items that help with frostbite as that is something that you can die to if you get caught in his frost mist. The best strategy is to move directly underneath the boss and attack him aggressively.
────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
Night Aspect – The Shape of Night / Heolstor the Nightlord

Weakness: Holy

First thank you for reading my guide and I hope my tips have helped you. I will not lie but this boss was pretty tough. For this lineup we went with...

Here is what we all had in our inventory. For Ironeye, the Erdtree Bow was OP and helped alot. For the Executor, a Halo Scythe did so much when it came to damage.

This boss will attack just about anyone, it switches very quickly, so honestly dodge and be prepared for pretty much every swing because you will never really know. Everyone in this boss is pretty much aggro.

USE WARMING STONES FOR THE FIRST PHASE. He has two phases and you will not be able to reset your flask so use warming stones in his first phase (hes slower and weaker), and in his second phase conserve your flasks as much as you can. So on day 1 hit up as many churches as you can and level up as much as possible.

When he goes in the air and rips the sky open on his second phase, best way to dodge that attack is looking at the ground so you know when to dodge. Try to use relics that help with stamina.

EVERDARK: Gaping Jaw - Adel, Baron of Night

Weakness: Poison

For this enhanced boss, it took us many tries with different characters to finally beat this SOB, and for this lineup we went...

YES! GO ALL TANK

This might sound ridiculous but it actually worked, and with Raider, we each got our ults relatively fast. We would each try to alternate between our ultimates whenever Adel would charge up to do his new move (this ridiculous cyclone attack), one of us would ult and stun him, giving us a chance to deal some great damage. For the lightning slams throughout the fight, it is best to dodge the slam if you are in the radius and jump up to avoid it.

Now, to survive this nightmare of a new phase, when he charges up, run as far as possible until you see the spiritsprings just outside of his cyclone (while avoiding his lightning damage) and jump into his cyclone from the spiritsprings. At this point, everyone is aggro.

On day one, try to hit up as many churches as possible and getting to level 7-10. On day two, focus on the middle castle and obtaining the highest level and hitting up any churches you may have missed.
────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
EVERDARK: Darkdrift Knight - Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow

Weakness: Lightning

For this lineup we went...

If you managed to beat the first Everdark boss and got yourself the special new currecny called Sovereign Sigils, make sure you choose The Crater before the start of your expedition.

On day one hit up the castle and churches and level up as much as possible. On day two is when you get to go to the crater and beat the secret boss down there (guide to finding it: https://www.ign.com/wikis/elden-ring-nightreign/How_to_Find_the_Crater_Secret)

Beating this secret boss will allow you to upgrade any weapon to Legendary :)

As Ironeye, I upgraded my default to legendary since my starting armament was equipped with lightning. Rivers of Blood was also a great op weapon for Executor.

Now when fighting this boss, everyone is aggro. Its best to have a ranged character in the backline to fight him. First phase, focus on using your lightning attacks to stun him when he is charging up. You can stagger him by using heavy attacks (tanks). This is important and stunning him gives your teammates a window of opportunity to get some good damage in.

In the second phase, Fulghor will spawn clouds that rain down arrows, which will track you down and do a ton of damage, roll far and to the side away from it (not backwards).

Executor can block everything that Fulghor does, so make sure the person playing Executor is decent and has good reflexes to block his attacks.
────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
EVERDARK: Sentient Pest - Gnoster, Wisdom of Night

Weakness: Fire

This was so far the easiest boss to defeat, it took us two attempts.

For this lineup we went:

If you got yourself the special new currency called Sovereign Sigils, make sure you choose The Crater before the start of your expedition. You will be able to hit the crater on the second day and make one of your weapons Legendary (guide to finding it: https://www.ign.com/wikis/elden-ring-nightreign/How_to_Find_the_Crater_Secret). On Day 1, hit up churches and the middle castle since the crater on Day 2 will take up most of the day.

Please make sure to get fire! As Ironeye I used a relic where my starting armament dealt fire and just used my default bow and made that legendary. Range is your best friend since there are two flyers during the battle, and Wylder can focus on Faurtis.

Refer back earlier to this guide to see how to beat this second phase at the start of the boss fight.

Now, this new area of battle with Animus, he is also a moth like creature like Gnoster but the only times you can attack him is when he is possessing either Gnoster or Faurtis. During possession, you can attack and take away Animus's health. Animus will revive both Gnoster and Faurtis Stoneshield to about 25% health, at which point all three will begin battling you. Ironeye focused on Gnoster while Wylder and Recluse focused on Faurtis. Animus will fade away and begin avoiding you once the other two are up so just ignore him and focus on the others.

Once you have defeated either of them, Animus will appear above then fuse with one of them and start the possession process again, losing a chunk of his own health bar to revive and possess them. This will keep happening until Animus's health is gone, then the battle is over. Also, Animus's ultimate is a red magic rain attack, just run away far from it or dodge.

Note, if you have a relic for poison negation, use that as it helps when Gnoster uses his poison mist attacks.

EVERDARK: Augur - Maris, Fathom of Night

Weakness: Lightning (does not matter for this fight though)

Lineup (Duo for this fight but also play who you are comfortable with)

This boss was the biggest pain. Best map is the Noklateo, the Shrouded City since you can get a grace from defeating Naturalborn of the Void (which will bring you to life one time) on Day 2. On Day 1, we just hit up evergaols, bosses, and churches.

It does not matter what weapon you have or decide to collect during day 1 and 2 since with Augur, you will all be using your default weapon but a legendary version of it with Storm Ruler attached (you get this after the bosses first phase). This is the only weapon that will do damage. I recommend just stacking up on HP, FP, and endurance stats and maybe get one better version of your weapon just to make it easier to fight the bosses on Day 2.

Please collect warming stones (you can have 8 equipped max if you fill in the slots). This battle is all about patience and you will be standing still for quite a bit of it.

The first phase is fairly easy, just dodge his little splash attacks. Once he is defeated he will drop your legendary weapon. Use this for the entire fight, nothing else you have will do damage to his second phase but this weapon. I only ever used my normal default weapon as Ironeye to ult on my downed team mates.

Also this weapon uses FP, and to recharge it and gain the FP back, JUST HOLD DOWN. Starlight shards are also great if you want to use light attacks. But for the heavy attacks you must charge it. When you hold the skill without attacking for about several seconds, you charge up a much stronger and larger attack and it creates a MASSIVE vertical attack and deals good damage to Augur. Light attacks of this is good for his orbs.

Tips:
1.) You want to mainly be using heavy attacks, so be patient since this is a long battle, and use warming stones instead of flask since you will be standing still and charging your attacks and you also don't waste your flasks and can save them for bigger attacks from him. But if he even looks like he's doing something, please prioritize and dodge instead.

2.) When he spawns his blue orbs around him, target the orbs with light attacks this will stance break him for an extended period when you break all of them and you can do some good damage with your charged attack.

3.) When he starts his hypnosis sleep field again spam light attacks to stop him. If your sleep bar is starting to fill, try to put a warming stone down as soon as you can so when you go down, you wont take as much damage since you will regenerate health from the warming stone.

4.) SPREAD OUT FROM YOUR TEAMMATES. I can not stress this enough. All of his attack combinations are directional AOE, if all three of you are spread out (or two) at any time one or two players can always be attacking.

5.) He has these tsunami waves, run to the side of them. If you are in his wave, you will slow down and take damage.

6.) Roll and dodge from the white bubbles he releases out onto the field, they are a lot in one vicinity, but disappear quickly.

EVERDARK: Fissure in the Fog – Caligo, Miasma of Night

Weakness: Fire

For this lineup we went one Ironeye, and two Wylder's.

First, make sure to change the shifting earth to the Mountaintops since this boss does a lot of frost damage and the best way to be somewhat stronger against her attacks you need to acquire frost resistance, fire weapons, and as much damage resistance to deal with her. Also equip the Night of The Lord relic as it is OP ASF (we do so well with this).

On Day 1, we hit up the churches, bosses, and a few evergaols and also a cave to get a smithing stone so we can upgrade a weapon. We managed to get up to level 11 on our first day. On Day 2, head for the mountaintops. I linked down a video that shows where all the bosses are and the mountaintop secret. Make sure to collect the frost resistance instead of weapons after you defeat a boss (this will come in handy 100%). Link Here :)

When you enter the boss arena, you'll fight the usual phase two of Caligo, but once you get her to around 75% health, she summons icy armour around her body which makes her more resistant to damage.

You can smash this armour on individual parts of her body (head, torso, tail, body), but if you hit all three or take too long her armour wil reset back to full. I would recommend to hit her head (as Ironeye this is what I was focusing on attacking the most) and body (easy for Wylder to do damage). Regarding hitting her head, she does this insane frost mist that takes off a good chunk of your health.

Also hitting whatever part of her armour and destroying it will stun her for a bit but the best part is that once that armour is off, she no longer can do that attack (Example: Destroy tail, no more tail whip).

REMEMBER:

Make sure that you:

Defeat the Flying Dragon boss fighting the Snow Troll in the center of the mountain area and select "Attacks possess anti-dragon effect" from its rewards.

Defeat either the two Snow Trolls in the east (close to where the night two boss is), or the Demi-Human Swordsman in the north, and select the Improved frost resistance" option from the rewards. Or do both if you have extra time.

Grab the blue crystal in the north of the mountain to get the "Favor of the Mountaintop" buff and complete the event. This halves frostbite damage and buildup, making it by far the most important.

I would also like to mention that most likely you will get invaded by Augur once you reach the mountaintop or cursed by Libra. Every time we played this boss, one of those two things happened (EACH TIME). Maybe my friends and I are cursed or this is just an intentional thing the devs put in.

♰♰♰EVERDARK: Equilibrious Beast - Libra, Creature of Night

Weakness: Madness

For this comp we did duos, which was a lot more easier than running a three stack. This boss was honestly the toughest one since he summons enemy NPC versions of your team mid fight and just does all sorts of crazy stuff on your team. This boss will show you no mercy and honestly it made playing this game for a bit not enjoyable because of LIBRA. This was not a challenging boss, it was straight up massacre.

Everyone who is complaining on forums about how bad this boss is is in the right, he needs to be nerfed. Soulsborne veterans even think so. What were the devs thinking making this boss. I don't even know how me and my friend did this.

The best map to play on is Noklateo, the Shrouded City (for the revive) or Crater (legendary weapon). The Frenzied Flame towers that rarely appear is something you need to hit up ASAP to get frenzied flame seals to fight Libra if one pops up. We have only gotten it three times after days of playing. Luck really does play a huge role in this boss.

Go through the days as normal, and level up to the max 15 if you can, while stopping by as many churches as you can. Collect good talismans along the way, you're gonna need them.

You need to know that the only madness weapons are Vyke’s War Spear and the Frenzy incantations. Finding these are rare so focus on his secondary weakness which are Holy and Fire and Poison. I had a relic as Ironeye where my starting armament dealt poison and went to the Crater to turn it into a legendary which really did help win this fight. Though, while it’s not going to change as much visit Madness camps and check the crates around areas with consumables for Madness. That's better than having nothing.

When its time to fight Libra, don't make a deal with him (you can if you want, it all depends if you think the deals are good, we didn't). The NPC's are a menace, they are just better versions of your character, honestly. My Ironeye assaulted me and my team so bad.

This reddit post summarizes all of Libra's attacks pretty well and an overall guide on how to win this fight, so please read this as well, it was super helpful for me and my team.

♰♰♰EVERDARK: Tricephalos - Gladius, Beast of Night

Weakness: Holy

For this comp we went two Duchess and an Ironeye. Crater is a great map to turn your weapon into legendary or Noklateo for a revive grace. Also the Rotted Woods is pretty good for this boss to get rot. Gladius uses huge AoE fire attacks. Don’t bunch up with your squad, if one person gets caught you don’t all want to go down at once.

Best choices: Anyone with holy, bleed, or scarlet rot damage.
Good pick: Ironeye (poison + stun potential).
Not ideal: Wylder (too fire-focused) and this boss does Fire.

Equip Flamedrake Talismans or anything that boosts fire resistance. Stack damage negation so you can survive his heavy hits. Use holy weapons, bleed procs, or scarlet rot to wear him down fast. Poison also works, but it’s slower to build up.

In the beginning of the battle all three dogs are separated so try to focus one each if you are in a trio. He is pretty easy to dodge, but the thing that kills us the most is his insane nuke attack.
With this nuke phase, when Gladius transforms and charges his big nuke, circle behind him. Dodge the two quick slashes. Fight him from behind, this is your best window to deal big damage.

The best way to win this is with patience, spacing, and all the status effects. Good luck!

Thank you <3
