Core Concepts
  • If you win the first battle of the floor, the rest fight of the floor becomes easier
  • Gold management is key—early upgrades snowball your power.
  • Always make decisions based on survivability and scaling.
  • Never go into a floor unprepared (enchanting, upgrading items) —planning beats luck.

Answers to obvious questions

Question 1: Why are only the first 20 floors described?

Answer:
I will not describe anything beyond the 20th floor, since after 20 floor you should make your individual build for each character. Also, each player has their own preference.

The main thing is to reach the 10-15-20th floor, so that you can further develop the character yourself.

And I will help you with this: below is a universal, 100% working method for reaching the 20th floor, which I use in each of my games.

Question 1: Is this the only way to get to floor 20 with 2 challenges?

Answer:
I don't know - I don't know all the methods and obviously I haven't tried them. It's just the only method I've found "by trial and error" and it works with a guarantee
If you know or prefer some other method, then please use it. This method is designed for players who think that it is impossible to go past the 1st floor solo and the game is broken (yes, there are such people and there are many of them).
Combat Priorities: Who to Kill First?
Handle enemies in this order to reduce incoming damage and control the battlefield:

1. The Great Mandatory Punishment: Gold Stealer
  • Goblin (Floor 2)
If for some unknown reason you don't have a piece of the “Commoner's Poor” kit on, this green bastard needs to be killed first because he will take all your gold. But if you follow my guide, this shouldn't happen.

  • Armored Goblin (Floor 3)
Same as previous, but even worse.

2. Top Priority: Stunning / Weakening enemies:
  • Boar (Floor 1)
Usually if an enemy stuns us with 2 challenges on the first floor, it's instant death

  • Snow Pix (Floor 1)
We don't have any damage on the first floor as it is (usually 1-3). And if we get weakened, it's also instant death. Weakening affects us for 3 turns.

  • Jellyrak (Floor 3)
    Stuns, pretty high damage

  • Efis (Floor 3)
Confusion, almost same as stun, you'll miss 2 attacks.

3. Second Priotiry: Shield Generators / Parrying enemies:
  • Fronk (Floor 1)
Since we are playing with challenge, where we always have 6 enemies in combat - a given enemy will give ALL as much shield as they have health. Consider that this enemy makes 6 enemies the difficulty of 12 enemies.

  • Skeleton Warrior (Floor 2)
If you don't kill it instantly (in one hit), that individual will never die and will parry you endlessly.

4. High Damage Dealers:
  • Bat (Floor 1)
3 Damage is pretty high for the First floor.

  • Leafing (Floor 1)
4 Damage (2 attacks per 2 dmg) is also pretty high for the First floor.

  • Slorn (Floor 3)
This turtle will destroy you in the blink of an eye if not killed in time. The damage is terrible.

  • Bravura (Floor 7)
That woman right there is very dangerous if you've already swapped evasion for armor. It pierces through armor and hurts her health directly.

  • Shadow Ghost (Floor 8)
Sometimes it hurts so bad it's best to kill it quickly. Since this dude hits 4 times, it can sometimes punch through your dodge.

  • Kotya (Floor 9)
Watch this guy very carefully, because on his first turn he blocks all the damage and reflects it back at you. Usually, if you don't play carefully, the game ends when you encounter this guy.

5. Toxic Enemies
They are worth fearing because the poison penetrates through dodge. The faster you get rid of them, the better.
  • Slime (Floor 1)
    Toxic.

  • Venomous Spider (Floor 6)
    Also toxic.

Examples
In the examples above the heads of the enemies I have drawn their priority - the 1st, accordingly, must be killed first. The 6th last.

  • Example 1 (floor 1-1):
    Basically impossible generation.
If you encounter this at 1-1 (floor 1, fight 1), just press restart.

  • Example 2 (floor 1-1):
Kinda bad generation. Too much high damage enemies, impossible without perfect Poor Commoner's set. At first, we focus shield generator, then high dmg enemies, then all other things.

  • Example 3 (floor 1-1):
Good generation. Not much high dmg enemies, one stun, one weaking enemy.

  • Example 4 (floor 1-1):
    OK generation. Everything balanced.

  • Example 5 (floor 2-1):
Bad generation but i already have upgraded gear.
Gear Progression: What to Buy and When
First Buyout (Start of Run, 1-1 floor)

Buy:
  • Poor Commoner’s Sword [mandatory]

  • Poor Commoner's Boots and (or) Hat [mandatory]

  • Any extra item with leftover gold (pants / chestplate / ring / amulet)

Why?
Commoner’s Sword scales with set pieces—great early scaling.

Examples

  • Bad examples (what not to buy):

  • Good examples (what to buy):

  • Perfect examples (you'll 99% pass 1-1 floor):

What to do next?
It is advisable to upgrade the sword/pants/hat to at least green before we meet the merchant.
When we come to the merchant, we split the item in two and give it for enchantment.

There's example vid at floor 2 how to do it.
I'm removing my green and blue items, dividing it in 2, giving to enchant.

At next floor im buying it out.

Second Buyout (2-4 floors)
If Recruit’s (Agility) gear appears:

  • Buy full set ASAP

  • Swap weapon to Common Iron Dagger

  • Upgrade and enchant all pieces ASAP

There's video example of transition from Commoner's Set to Agility set:

Third Buyout (Defensive Boost)

If any Warrior’s item (ring, boots, hat, etc.) appears:
Buy one piece (preferable ring to don't interrupt agility set)
Just one piece, not more! We don't need entire set, just one perk for parry!
Grants Parry, an extremely strong defense mechanic

Final
With agility set + warrior's parry you can easily reach 20th floor.
